Tricked…I've been lured to Caellaias under false pretenses, and now I'm trapped. As much as I want to return to the human realm, I can’t leave without my sister. So I stay. And I wait. But things become so complicated that I don't know if I'll ever make it back home again.
Maeyve
Being in Caellaias makes me uncomfortable, and I’m anxious to go home, but I’m stuck. Anevae and I have been forced to spend more time with the vampire, which has her confused. He’s gotten under my skin, and I can’t help but wonder…is he right? Then, Anevae’s new instructor flips things on their heads, and I wish we could go back in time—to when it was just her and I.
Emrhys
The moment I set eyes on her, I knew she was meant to be mine; touching her that day outside the castle confirmed it. And now, thanks to my own actions, she hates me. But maybe that's for the best. If I ever indulged in these feelings I have for her, her grandfather would kill me. When I try to put space between us, I’m forced right back to her side. Keeping my hands off her will be challenging, but duty calls…right?
Mikaelynn Rose is a hard-working, devoted woman whose world revolves around an amazing little boy...well, I guess her husband, too. While she lives just outside of Denver with her high school sweetheart and son, she’d much rather be in the country or the mountains. When she’s not working, she’s writing, reading, listening to music, spending time with her loved ones, and of course, drinking way too much coffee for her own good.
I loved the first book - but this one knocked it out of the park!
Loved the spice - loved the character development and the interaction between everyone. I can’t wait to see what else is in store for Ana and all. Book 3 is going to ROCK - I can just feel it!
A stronger sequel full of drama, depth, and fated mates.
Book two builds on the foundation of the first, and it’s clear the author has found their stride. The writing has noticeably improved, making the story smoother and more engaging. We’re introduced to new MMCs, and the addition of multiple POVs adds richness and variety to the narrative.
The multiple fated mates twist brings a fresh dynamic, keeping the stakes high and the relationships tangled in the best way. The enemies-to-lovers tension is a standout, creating some of the book’s best moments; full of angst, banter, and chemistry.
While I was hoping for a bit more spice this time around, the emotional tension and medium pacing kept me fully invested. It ends on another cliffhanger (no surprise there), but by now, I’m definitely along for the ride and excited to dive into book three.
If you’re into FF and MFF romance, mutual pining, fated mates, and high-stakes fantasy drama, this sequel doesn’t disappoint.

WOW, just wow.. I completed this book in one day with two sittings and I have a lot to say! First of all I absolutely adore this book. I’m OBSESSED! Going into this book I had a lot of questions some were answered and some left unanswered. We was left on a cliff again which made my brain break. When I tell you I got whip lash from sitting up durning different parts of this book, I mean it. I can’t explain how much I love Anevae, Maeyve and Emrhys together, never was an expecting my angel Cassiel!! This book took on a ”why choose” aspect that I absolutely wasn’t expecting but love at the same time. Let’s go over my questions; 1. We know there are supposed to be mates from different territories.. who are the last two? 2. WHERE THE FUCK did Ambrose come from and why is he back!? 3. What’s really going on with Eiri?! 4. How is Maeyve and Emrhys bonded mates? 5. Ovbiously the king has something up his sleeve.. what is it?

Y'all, Mikaelynn Rose's 'The Unveiling of Caellaias' is a freaking masterpiece. I was hooked on the first book, but this one? I'm completely obsessed. 🥵 It picks up right where the last one left off, throwing you right back into Anevae and Maeyve's crazy adventure. And Emrhys? Oh, Emrhys. 🔥🔥🔥 I wanted to know more about this dark, brooding man , and Rose totally delivered on giving him a bigger role.
The world-building is so vivid, you can almost smell the orletaylaer blossoms and taste the delicious scent of Maeyve's berries and vanilla. 🤤 And the romance? Forget lukewarm tea, this is straight-up dragon fire! 🔥🔥🔥 I swear, I blushed so hard during some of those scenes, I could probably char a steak with my cheeks. 🥵
But the cliffhanger? Don't even get me started. My heart is still pounding. Rose, you absolute savage, you left me hanging like a wet noodle! 😤 I need the next book NOW.
Guys and gals buckle up because Mikaelynn Rose is back at it again!! Book one had me hooked from the pronounciation guide and let me tell you, book two brought it back and I can’t stress how much I love a good pronounciation guide!!
Now on to my actual thoughts about the story- I think it was incredible. We pick up where book one left off and it did not disappoint and I was able to recall the happenings of book one pretty instantly so there was no confusion on who people where and if you didn’t know a person you are properly introduced.
I will say that book two definitely bring the heat in the spice factor section and I am HERE FOR IT. Can someone science please make telekinesis possible?!?
All in all the book is fantastic and you need to check it out. I read it all in one sitting and would definitely recommend it 10\10 Mikaelynn Rose is a literary genius!
Ive waited 5 long months for this book! Mikaelynn didn’t disappoint me at all until the end. My question is WHY!! My blood would run cold too if I saw an ex appear talking to my grandfather. To know are girl is now mated to not only our fox but now a vampire and maybe even an angel gets me so excited to see how that all plays out but i wont lie if in book 3 one of them dies or the ties get cut i may not survive. I absolutely love the banter between all of them. and the conversation they have with each other without others knowing is so hilarious! Once again you’ve done the most beautiful job and telling this story! i cant believe how beautifully this is written. I literally feel like I’m apart of it when reading this. the words and story just flow off the page. Now i wait for book 3 to see it unfold more!

I was OBSESSED with this series after the first book. I absolutely loved that book, and I have read it twice while waiting for this book to hit my in-box. I have to say that I did devour this book in one day. I only moved when I needed to use the facilities, get something to drink, or something to eat. Otherwise, I didn't move. So yes, I do have a few things to say.
Once again, Mikaelynn Rose helped all us readers out and brought back her pronunciation guide to help us all out. And let me tell you, while this isn't related to the story, it is still a God send and such a help. I did have some questions after the end of the first book, and when you are reading a series that ends with a cliffhanger, you have to expect that. Sadly, we are left with another cliffhanger this time, and my head is just screaming right now.
I absolutely love Anevae, Maeyve, and Emrhys together, and then to have my amazing angel Cassiel added in is just wowzah. And I predicted in my 1st review that this could go in a reverse harem direction, and it keeps looking more and more like it as this book has that feeling and just an overarching aspect that I just love. Seriously, it is just so perfect for this book.
Now, as to the questions that I do have;
A. We know that there are supposed to be mates from all the different territories... who are the last two? Have we met them yet? Are they yet to arrive?
B. Where in the world did Ambrose come from? Why is he back? What are his intentions?
C. Eiri, is there something up and going on with them? What is it, and will we learn the truth soon?
D. How is it that Maeyve and Emrhys are bonded mates?
E. What does the King have up his sleeve? What are his plans?
Now on to the story itself and my thoughts on it rather than just my questions.
This is another great story in this series. Mikaelynn Rose has outdone herself once again and gives us another great read. I loved that this book picked up right where book one ended, and it was easy to remember where things ended and what was happening. There was no confusion about who was where or what they were doing. And what was great, if Mikaelynn was introducing us to a new character, she didn't waste time, she made sure to introduce them properly right away.
I absolutely devoured The Unveiling of Caellaias, the second book of the series.
The FMC, Anevae, continues her amazing voyage, growing and learning with each new challenge. Where in the first book she had one romantic interest, here we not only get to see their romance evolve but also, we have some surprises...
I loved the romance and especially the spicy scenes we’re very well written. I love all the different characters and their relationships made me laugh sometimes with the banter between them.
This second book expands the world building and the magic within as we continue on this wonderful journey along with these amazing characters. I definitely recommend reading this book!
I feel very lucky to have been chosen to receive an advance review copy for free, and thankful to the author Mikaelynn Rose, and I am happily leaving this review voluntarily.
More like 3 and 1/2 stars. After reading the first book of the series and being left on a cleft hanger I couldn't wait until book 2 came out to finish the story. Book two of this series started off a little slow but once the story took off it did not stop. The unveiling of Caellaias was a nice read. There were points in the book where I didn't want to put it down and wanted to keep reading and reading. The book goes a little deeper into Caellaias, all of its mythical creatures, and the royal family. The banter between the characters is amazing. More characters are introduced and some amazing tropes as well. This book isn't like your normal fantasy book which makes it even more worth the read. Thank you Mikaelynn and Book funnel for this ARC read
Anavae just wanted to rescue her sister and go home, but you cannot rescue someone who wants to be somewhere. But in trying she is now stuck in a land that was supposed to be a fairytale with the monster of those stories. However she is not alone with the wily fox shifter by her side and a broody vampire to boot. Will Anavae learn to control her magic and get herself home? Or will she be stuck in a place she doesn’t know forever?
The Unveiling of Caellaias is book 2 of a spicy urban fantasy with a growing harem romance that has Shifters, Vampires & Fae. Quick read for me and looking forward to book 3! We continue the story with Anevae, Maeyve and Emrhys... and now add Cassiel.
Eiri definitely has something going on. 👀
AND THE CLIFFHANGER.....
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I absolutely loved the first book in this series! I have been waiting for book 2 after book 1s cliffhanger... I will admit it was a little slow at first. So it took me a little minute for me to get back into the book fully. However, when the book took off, it took off damn. The spice was so good. I'm not disappointed at all other than we were left with another cliffhanger! Now I need book 3! So now I'll be impatiently waiting for book 3!
SUCH A PAGE-TURNER! I honestly liked this book better than the first one in this series, and I couldn't wait to keep reading. I absolutely devoured this book and am anxiously awaiting the next book in this series. The characters are well-developed, and the plotline continues at a great pace. The imagery and descriptions created in my mind based on what I was reading were so vivid as well, so we'll, that I could feel as if I were really there!
“Why won't she just fucking talk to me? I know she doesn't want to go home, and I'm trying like hell to understand why, but she's got to give me something to work with.”
Very unique book. Loads of spice, so if you’re sensitive just proceed with caution. It would be 5 stars but there is A LOT of spice. Good writing and very detailed characters. The author is super nice!
After reading the first book, I knew i needed the second and I was not disappointed!! It is amazing and spicy and keeps you hooked. The chemistry is off the charts and I'm in love!!
I love Anevae, Maeyve, and Emrhys together!! It does end in another cliffhanger.
I will be a forever fan and will read anything by this author!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶🌶
This is another great story, even though it did start a bit slow it did pick up. I loved how this book picked up right where book one ended on a cliff hanger so you didn’t miss a beat and have to catch up. This second book goes a little deeper into Caellaias, all of its mythical creatures, and the royal family, the shifters, vampires and Fae.
OKAY YALL! THIS IS BOOK TWO AND IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A FANTASY ROMANCE BOOK YALL THESE BOOKS ARE AMAZING. VAMPIRES. ANGELS. FAE. SHIFTERS AND ROYALTY IN A DIFFERENT LAND FROM THE HUMAN RELAM. BUT THE CLIFF HANGERS GET ME EVERY TIME! I NEED BOOK THREE LIKE YESTERDAY! 🔟🔟 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
I did enjoy this book. I see what Mikaelynn is doing but the dialogue still feels too jilted and mechanical. It's difficult for me to fully immerse myself in the story because a lot of it feels too harsh in the flow. The story itself is really incredible and she's got me wanting to know more.
It started a little slower than I anticipated but omg it's so good I got mad at some characters but everything is slowly falling into place. I need more tho. That cliff hanger really got me... Can't wait for the next book.
Wow!! Mikaelynn did it again! I’m blown away. I’m so happy I got to be apart of the ARC team again. I did enjoy the different POVs. I’ve never read a book with three different POVs so that was fun! If Mikaelynn had zero supporters I must be dead lol.
Amazing sequel to part 1! The story’s really in a flow now, things are starting to make more sense and there’s a lot of connections and hints. I really liked the twists and turns after the cliffhanger book 1 ended on. Very much recommend!
A great sequel to the first part! Things become a bit clearer and the world continues to be rebuilt. A lot happens in this book, and there are a lot of twists and unforeseen turns. I definitely enjoyed this sequel
Our hero is deep in the lands of her grandfather now and finding out first hand why her mother left. Conflict and threat lurk around every corner. Sexy and tense. Excited to see the next installment.
Best book ever!!!! Likeable characters. Entertaining well written book that I couldn't put down. Lots of plot twists to keep it interesting. A must read.
I absolutely loved getting to know all the characters better in this book—their banter was so enjoyable and added so much life to the story! I’m really curious to see what the ‘happy’ family reunion in Caellaias will bring.
That said, Eiri is seriously starting to annoy me, but I can’t help feeling like there’s more to him than meets the eye, and I’m eager to find out. As for Maeyve and Emrhys, I’m still on the fence. Their dynamic felt a little odd, but at the same time, it’s fair and makes sense for the story.
And OMG—the return of Ambrose! Is this finally where we learn what really happened and uncover who he truly is? I can’t wait to find out in the next installment!
