How about a Quickie? "Although it’s a novella – a mere 107 (or so) pages – Legally Wed has the same wonderful blend of sweet and sassy, sexy and serious, that I’ve come to love and expect from all of NM Silber’s books." Cindy Meyer, The Book Enthusiast

Adam and Lily are back with the gang as they prepare for their big day.

This was cute with plenty of sexy time. I still like them as a couple and now that they are together it was nice to see their relationship progress. But with all the build up I also found the end a bit rushed.

It was a nice closure for the couple and it sets the scene for the next couple. Enjoyable series so far x

Opening an N.M Silber book means you will for sure have a good time, it's guaranteed!! I've been a huge fan of this series since it came out. This amazing characters had become part of my reading routine which is why I highly recommend this books to everybody, they never fail...

In the last book , childhood frenemies Adam Roth and Lily Adler finally get together and are now engaged to be married. Sounds fairly normal, right? But when it evolves this gang of crazy lawyers, two very strong Jewish mothers and a very gay and fabulous wedding planner, things can get a little crazy. Lily is getting nervous by everything revolving around this wedding and her way of releasing the stress is by having lots and lots of sexy time, but hottie Adam is only happy to obliged. And who can forget Bruno the chihuahua?

This romantic comedy has a little bit of everything, but the pace of the book had me a little distracted. The flow of the story was very inconsistent and for some reason it took me almost a week to finish this book. I was never really hooked to the story and wish there had been a little more conflict, everything seemed so unrealistically perfect. Even though this one has been my least favorite of the series, I will continue to read N.M Silber's work because her books are just so much fun!!!

Absolutely loved this! So glad I got to read about Adam and Lily's wedding. This novella was sweet, sexy, funny, and naughty. Glad I got my Lawyers in Love series fix before the next book comes out. I love the relationship that Adam and Lily have with each other. They love each other so much that they can have little small arguments and get over it right away. That sounds like true love to me. With Adam and Lily I think they can solve any argument with make-up sex. Haha! N.M. Silber wrote another great book! I will definitely be recommending this book to my friends and fellow book lovers.

Adam and Lily get married! I have read this series since the first book and I'll never get tired of it. This novella picks up where Legal Briefs left off and Adam and Lily prepare for the wedding. Lily is all stressed out but she figures out a way to calm down that makes Adam tired but also makes him really happy. Even though it starts out like erotica, there's so much more here, humor, romance, and even a couple of really emotional moments that will make your gut clench. Another five star read from NM Silber.

"Legally Wed" is the latest edition to the "Lawyers In Love" series by NM Silber. It’s essentially Lily’s account of the events leading up to her and Adam’s wedding, and although it’s a novella – a mere 107 (or so) pages – it has the same wonderful blend of sweet and sassy, sexy and serious, that I’ve come to love and expect from all of NM Silber’s books.

Adam and Lily were childhood sweethearts…. no, wait… that’s not right. Let me start again.

Adam and Lily were childhood enemies. That’s better. You know the type: the boy dips the girl's pigtails in ink and punches her in the arm as a show of affection. THAT kind of enemy. Except Lily is, and always was Adam’s equal:

“Our history together wasn’t exactly filled with lollipops and rainbows. He wrote in my name on our class election ballot as Queen of the Harpies.”
“How do you know that was me?’
“Who else would have done that?”
“Well, you sent forged documents to nurse’s office claiming I needed to give a stool sample.”
“You have no proof.”

We have met Adam and Lily in previous books from the "Lawyers In Love" series, and Volume 3, "Legal Briefs," was the full length novel that brought us their story. It accounts the evolution from childhood animosity (a euphemism for attraction) to adult adoration, not to mention all the outrageous antics and amusing repartee that NM Silber does so well.

Wedding planning can be stressful under the best of circumstances. Factor in Lily’s insecurities, the pressures from Adam’s stereotypical Jewish mother and sisters (he’s the only son), and Lily’s “Ice Queen” mother, and the tension may be almost unbearable. Fortunately, Lily has discovered a very effective method for relieving tension – it may kill Adam in the process, but he’ll definitely die a happy man.

"Legally Wed" is so much more than the sexual escapades of Adam and Lily; however, there’s definitely no shortage of that. It’s also infused with humorous banter, some serious adult conversations (and even a little drama), and some absolutely touching and tender moments between the characters. Admittedly, I’m an emotional reader, but more than once I felt my eyes sting and well up.

“You know, when we graduated from high school and you went to BU and I went to Tufts, there would be times when I would be in Boston and I would think I saw you and my pulse would shoot up and I would feel excited. It was never you, though. Stupid, huh?”
It was a small thing that I had confessed, nothing like telling him I had been fantasizing about him the first time I came, but somehow it was even harder to tell him. Sexual attraction was one thing, but admitting that, even then, I had deeper feelings for him made me feel more vulnerable. I kept staring at my fingers, twisting on my lap, wondering if he was imagining me as a pathetic schoolgirl.
“I used to look forward to going to synagogue when I was home on break because I was hoping to see you there. One week, I went twice. My sisters started calling me ‘rabbi’.” I looked up at him and my chest felt tight.
“Why didn’t we just …?”
“It doesn’t matter anymore. Now, we’re getting married and we are going to spend the rest of our lives together, blissfully bickering, bantering and banging.”

Although "Legally Wed" is short, it’s the perfect conclusion to Adam and Lily’s love story. However, I have it on good authority that we can look forward to more from this couple in the future. In the meantime, however, "Legally Wed" left a smile both on my face and in my heart.

Five sexy but ultimately tender stars.

**WARNING: You must read Legal Briefs before reading Legally Wed. This review may contain mild spoilers for Legal Briefs, but it is spoiler free for Legally Wed**

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of reading N.M. Silber’s books. Even if it’s just a little novella. She’s done it again. Legally Wed is the perfect mix of sexy, sweet, and funny that only N.M. Silber can pull off. This novella is an extension of Legal Briefs as we follow Adam and Lily from their engagement to their wedding. I didn’t realize how much I missed this raunchy couple until I got to dive back into their world with Legally Wed. It’s hard to write reviews for novellas because usually there’s not a lot going on plot-wise. But, this gem was so much fun to read! There’s lotssss of sex. The book literally starts off with a bang. And what a bang it was *snickers*. N.M. Silber’s writing never ceases to amaze me. It’s simple yet packs a hell of a punch whether it be to make me swoon, aww, or laugh.

“It doesn’t matter anymore. Now, we’re getting married and we are going to spend the rest of our lives together, blissfully bickering, bantering and banging.” “Nice alliteration but we have to survive the wedding first.

I think we see a lot more relationship growth between Adam and Lily here. Not only are they dating now, but they’re engaged. They still have many things to learn about one another despite knowing each other since childhood. They have overcome all the craziness that was Legal Briefs, however they still have a little ways to go. I enjoyed seeing how despite all the anxiety that comes with a wedding, Adam and Lily never waver. Instead they find a…healthy way to relieve stress *cough cough*. It was hilarious and sexy the entire book.

“Moments like this, I could hardly believe he was mine. The guy everyone had always wanted, that every girl had fantasized about. Now he was a man, a man sexy enough to have any woman he wanted, and he wanted me.”

I missed Adam’s dirty mouth and teenage-like stamina. We get to see plenty of both in this wonderful novella. I also love his sweet side that comes out whenever he and Lily have particularly quiet moments. We see a more vulnerable side to him for a few moments in this book. Never fear, there is plenty of Adam lines that caused me to roll all over the floor dying of laughter. I still adore Lily. I think it’s great how she and Adam are so much more open with their feelings now. There’s no more denial of attraction. Instead we have lots and lots of sexy scenes that made me fan myself. Lily is still spunky even when we get to see her vulnerable side too.

“Fuck me!” I cried out urgently. “Please Adam! I need you to fuck me. Everywhere! I want you to show me I’m completely yours.” I felt him pause as what I was saying sunk in. He looked up at me questioningly. “My mouth.” I panted. “My pussy.” I paused. “Everywhere.”

I loved reuniting with the whole gang. Gab, Braden, Jess, Cam, Mark, and Beth all have plenty of appearances. We get to see Gab and Braden—the first couple we fell in love with—continue to have their happily ever after. And we get to see Mark and Beth’s story start. The sexual tension between them could start a fire. All in all, there’s plenty of conflict, comedy, and definitely enough to sex to captivate you for an hour or so to devour this novella. I can’t wait for more from this world!

“You drive me so crazy, in so many ways.”
“That just means you won’t get bored.”
“Bored? With you? Never. I haven’t been bored once in twenty-three years.”

I received a beta copy from Nadine and I can say I absolutely LOVED IT! It had the right amounts of sweet and spicy! The novella definitely lived up the name and was a accurate representation of Adam and Lily. in this novella you see the characters grow and hash things out like normal couples. I wish I could say more and I will on the 24th! DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS BOOK... The humor lived up to its reputation, as I had several laughing fits, causing my friends to question my sanity. BELIEVE me this is a story you don't want to miss out!

Fans of Alice Clayton and Emma Chase would like this author too. I've read all her books and they just keep getting better. I literally laughed out loud a couple of times reading this (the scene where Bruno finds a toy was one of the funniest I have ever read) and OMG was this book hot! Talk about erotic sex scenes! It was also romantic though and I love how the couples in this series don't break up even when they fight. It feels more realistic and not like a bunch of made-up angst. If you like funny and sexy books you need to check out this author.

Loved this novella, it gave me more of Adam and Lily. I just love their story. I love the way they banter back and forth and I love their passion for one another. I love the humor that this author puts into her stories, you will literally laugh out loud at times. I can't wait for the next in the series. I feel as if I have gotten to know this group of friends and I need to know what happens next. Lily was so stressed it's a good thing she had Adam to help relieve some of it.

You have to have read Legal Briefs first before reading this.

OH MY SIDES! I hurt from laughing so much. This is the hilarious tale of how Adam & Lily got married. I don’t know how to share with you just how funny this book is without spoilers but if you have read anything by N.M. Silber you already have a good idea. Irreverent, snarky, and sexy as all get out. I LOVE this series.

Five Stars plus. Adam and Lily from Legal Briefs prepare for their wedding. Lily wants to do things her own way but her mother and mother-in-law keep getting involved. She gets stressed but Adam helps her work it off. There are so many funny scenes in this book. My family gave me weird looks more than once. The scenes with Adam's nephew were my favorites. If you're looking for something light but sexy, pick this one up. You should read Legal Briefs first though.

Read Legally Wed first, which is totally worth it. Adam and Lily plan their wedding, but it's not easy with everybody getting involved. The whole cast characters from the series appears and Mark and Beth's story is set up. Like all this author's books it's very funny and very hot. I can't wait for the next one.

A delicious trifle at the end of the LEGAL BRIEFS meal, LEGALLY WED is Lawyers in Love series author N.M. Silber's novella-length story of the impending wedding of lifelong enemies turned devoted couple, Assistant District Attorneys Adam "Benedick" Roth and Lily "Beatrice" Adler.

"You have stayed me in a happy hour - I was about to protest I loved you...."

There's the usual hassles of two individuals working to become a couple (Why Don't I Even Have a Drawer At Your Place? Your Home or Mine? Which One Of Us Is the Less-Awful Cook?), along with Lily reminding Adam that She's Half of Their Relationship, Too! Adam isn't bad at it, really - but he is a guy, and one who's never had to live with someone he's not related to by blood before. Then they announce to his family they're engaged - and their problems multiply exponentially as first his mother, and then hers (remember "The Ice Queen" Adler from LEGAL BRIEFS?)

Not Lily Adler's Mother - But an Incredible Simulation!

steamroll the wedding plans! Lily discovers that the best way she can ease the stress of escalating wedding plans, dealing with her Always-Finding-Fault mother, and numerous other hassles of coupledom - like , as quickly and as often as possible. This results in many, many hot and funny sex scenes, including one where Lily, having just gotten off the phone with her mother (again), charges into the the office Adam shares with Braden (who's thankfully out) and !

I'm Sorry, Nadine - I'm SO Sorry...!

There's more than just here, though: There's a "fabulous" wedding planner their gay friend Bruce crushes on; there's a ; there's brief character bits that set up future books WINNING APPEAL (Public Defender Mark and Braden's kid sister Beth - with Braden unsure that his Old Player Pal Mark is ready to settle down!) and POWER OF ATTORNEY (Adam's older sister Abby and Lily's ex-boyfriend Jacob the Asshole Federal Prosecutor - who apparently confuses "Courtship" with "Sexual Harassment"!);

(c)1998 Scott Adams, All Rights Rsvd.

all climaxing in a funny and touching wedding at the (fictitious) Marrakesh Resort and Casino in Las Vegas in January - which shows Lily and Adam finally asserting themselves as a couple over their Mothers!

"Come With Me/On The Marrakesh Express...!"

What really works well here is that you see Lily and Adam building their life together even before marriage, so what might have seemed like a Romance Novel contrivance (hooking up two unlikely and feuding people) feels organic and loving and built to last.

What works a little less well, and the reason I can't quite give this a full five stars, is some of the hints of character development basically mentioned and then dropped - mostly involving

Imperious Kitten NEVER Gets Old! :)

Even with that, and with the proviso that this is a companion piece to LEGAL BRIEFS and works best in concert with that novel, I really loved this book and would recommend it to fans of humorous romance, legal romances, or just fun reads in general.

First, you need to read Legal Briefs before Legally Wed, which is Adam and Lily's story prior to their engagement. I absolutely loved Legal Briefs (see my review). Adam and Lily are so fun and so sexy and so brilliant together, that I instantly fell in love with them. So if you haven't had a chance to meet Adam and Lily, grab Legal Briefs and then dive into Legally Wed.

Legally Wed picks up right where Legal Briefs left off - the storyline, the banter, the sexual shenanigans, the humor... all of it. Then add to that a big heaping dose of wedding planning craziness. I loved watching Adam and Lily fall in love before. And in the case of this novella, I loved watching their love be taken higher, taking it up another notch. There is this loveliness about their relationship, because although it is new in one respect, it is also familiar considering their history. So here we see the icing on the cake of how they are able to blend their love and attraction for each other with their history of childhood hurts and conflict. The result is a beautiful couple who is funny, sexy, considerate, feisty, lovable, and incredibly endearing, as well as mature enough to take their love and their trust in one another to a whole new level. And then there's the wedding! I loved it! Add to this N.M. Silber's writing of quick-witted humor and banter, awkward situations, family fiascos, and huge dose of sexual pizazz and reading more of Adam and Lily's story was a wonderful treat.

I absolutely adore this series. The characters are so funny and such great friends. In Legal Briefs, I fell in love with Adam and Lily. I was pulling for them from the very beginning and was so glad we were given the opportunity to share in their wedding.

All of the gang is present in this book and of course they're having fun. The moms are both trying to "help" with the wedding planning, yes, both moms - even Lily's. We also have a wedding planner involved, so Lily gets stressed, and when she's stressed she needs Adam to help relieve the stress - a job he's more than happy to complete. As often as necessary.

There are a number of laugh out loud moments; some very sweet and tender moments; and of course these two provide us with some hot and sexy moments as well. I bet we all wish we had our very own Adam!!

Overall, I loved it! I'll buy anything in this series by this author.

I loved Legally Wed, but it definitely not a standalone in this series. That said, if you haven’t read the previous books, stop reading this and go back and start from book 1 The Law of Attraction. I mean it, if you love romantic comedies, you will not be disappointed.

If you are still reading, then I know you are already a fan of these books and N.M. Silber. Everything I loved about the previous books, the characters, the witty dialogue, the crazy situations… they are all here. Usually when the guy gets the girl, the book is over and we just assume the happily ever after. This time we actually get to see the couple AFTER they admit they love each other, and see what happens after the engagement and through the wedding planning.

This felt like a love letter to the fans, in a good way, and I left me wanting to go back and read the books again.

I love this entire series. Adam and Lily are the main characters in Legal Briefs, book 3 in the Lawyers in Love series. At the end of book 3 we find them engaged. This novella is a sexy, fun novella that lets us in for a sneak peak of the pair planning their nuptials. All does not run smoothly, but if anyone can work it out, and make us laugh and groan and moan in the process it's these two.
They are trying out cohabitation, planning a wedding with two Jewish mothers, and going at it like bunnies.
Did I mention Lily gets worked up when she's nervous, anxious, stressed? Did you hear that their mothers are planning their wedding? There is a lot of hotness in 100+ pages. These two characters are always entertaining. I know you won't regret picking it up!

First of all, Adam and Lily are freaking hysterical! I think they are some of my favorite fictional characters ever and I love that N.M. Silber has graced us with a novella completely devoted to them. Even more than that, I'm honored to have gotten to Beta read this novella prior to it's debut! Did I mention Adam and Lily are hilarious? Right! This book will have you swooning, cracking up laughing, and swooning some more! I absolutely love the dynamic between these two and can I can't wait to read more of them in the future! (N.M. Silber has promised a wedding night novella, SQUEAL!!)

And if you haven't read the previous books in the Lawyers in Love series, you're behind the power curve, get to it! They're worth every stinking penny!

I loved getting inside of Lily's head as she prepares to marry Adam. The chemistry the two of them have is so wonderful and I can't get enough. The way Ms. Silber was able to balance the emotions that Lily is having as she gets stressed out about planning the wedding with her mother and Adam's mother and making sure that everything is done exactly the way it needs to be as she further explores her relationship with Adam as they plan for their future was done with the utmost of care. I especially loved how Lily relieved her stress and I thought the babysitting situation was very sweet. Great read! Another job well done!

Beta Reader...

I loved Lily and Adam from day one, and I was so excited that we are able to read about the trials and tribulation of getting married.

I found this book to be both hilarious and sexy. I LOVE Lily and Adam's sense of humor, and I just love that they love each other. I thought this was a really wonderful novella, and it's nice to see what the rest of the gang was up too as well. Plus it was a nice segue to Beth and Marks story.

I am really looking forward to Beth and Marks story.

Five Stars. This book starts off super-sexy, but we are picking up from Legal Briefs. This is the story about Adam and Lily getting ready for their wedding. With this author, you know it won't all go smoothly and there will be plenty of laughs long the way. Legally Wed doesn't disappoint. It's not easy to make a book both really funny and really sexy but N.M. Silber can pull it off.

This is kind of a epilogue/ life slice novella. This follows the events leading up to their wedding and the ceremony itself.
