I've always loved books, especially about monsters and magic, so I started writing. I'm working on a prequel and the next few books in the Others of Edenton series, and I have a head full of stories to share.

I'm a stay at home mother with a wonderful husband who lets me write and write to my hearts content.

Favorite Lines “Very well. I suggest clothing if we are just having a conversation.”

“He was a hunter, he was patient, and he had a feeling that Amethyst was worth the wait. Besides, an old friend always told him that a slow seduction was always worth the wait.”

“What do I see? I see your big lavender eyes that warm me all the way to my core, your smile that brightens my day, and your perfect little curvy body that I crave more than anything I have ever imagined. You are such a bright light, fresh, mesmerizing, it’s hard not to stare at you when I’m near you. And then the way you dealt with Dacia, trying to ignore her, but then pushing back when you needed too.”

“Warm autumn colors shined through Hayden’s skin as the colors of the ocean danced through hers. Her pleasure erupted into something greater as their bond solidified and their magic intertwined, drawing them closer than she had ever believed possible as they both found their release.”

I SO LOVE the Others of Edenton and want a man like the men of Edenton! Whew!
The Prologue in this book was fabulous, it gave me a real clear picture of what the Shadow Fae were about and the background of them.
Amethyst is a beautiful Nymph that has so much light in her she can chase the shadows away but she can always help the Shadow Fae (Zack) complete a ritual that will bring him back his body and his people. Her ex invites the Shadow into him because he is obsessed with her and when she uses her gift to make him leave he goes crazy.
Hayden is a Earth Fae that is Sheriff in Edenton and he is a big yummy grumpy teddy bear! When he seems Amethyst though he can't stop thinking about her. He needs to be near her! She is skittish though because of her ex but, he doesn't mind one bit.
As always this author writes a yummy, action packed paranormal fabulous romance! I can't get enough of her books. I want more!

I was given this book by author in exchange for an honest review

“Only you reduce me to a man full of need and desire. Only you make me crave you like no other. I want to be everything for you.”

This series is highly addictive. I just can not get enough of the Others of Edenton. Just like the first three books in this series, Shadows of the Past was just as outstanding.

What I loved most about this story? Of course it’s the kick-ass female lead. I’m all for girl power and Amethyst sure did deliver in this one. She was shy and timid in the start but when she was pushed to defend those she loved she never hesitated to let her power shine through. Once she finally accepted her skills and talents no one could stop her and when she got there she was amazing at it. Not only did she protect the ones closest to her but she even defended someone who has wronged her in the past. Even when she was discouraged to use her powers she never wavered. She knew the extent of her gifts and even if it could put her in harm’s way she never faltered.

I enjoyed reading about sheriff ”Eyeball” too. I loved his loyalty to his friends, his understanding and patience and his dedication to his job. Given his position he was always protective. One alpha-male. He would have done anything to keep his love interest safe. Seduction is a terrible thing and he might have done some questionable things but could you really blame him? I think not! You could tell he felt guilty and remorseful even if it wasn’t entirely his fault. Ame was just that irresistible.

I thought the chemistry between Ame and Hayden’s was terrific. Given her hesitancy and that there was also a potential love triangle added into the mix, it provided the perfect amount of tension between the characters involved.

I will however be honest and say that I did have an issue starting this book. I normally don’t enjoy historical or past life situations especially in a prologue. After I got past that and got further into the story I found that it plays a very vital part in this story. If the beginning feels tedious to you push through because all of it will all make sense and will come full circle in the end.

Another reason why the prologue was essential to this story is that someone very important in Ame’s line made sure that one day one of her descendants would eventually interlace into Hayden’s and I admire how this all played out and appreciate the authors imagination in making all of that work.

I’ve been a fan from the very first book In Too Deep. It isn’t just the smooth writing or how natural the story flows nor is it just the paranormal suspense that makes this series great but it’s mostly the characters themselves that grabbed me from the very start.

I would have to say that I’ve become fully vested in each and every one and what I love most is that as the story progresses we continue to get a glimpse into all their lives. They are so tightly interwoven and reading about the dynamics between the pack, friends, lovers and the couples is just one of the many highlights of this story. Loved it, can not wait to read more of this series.

The Others of Edenton series continues to get better and better with each book. I loved In Too Deep, then I loved New Beginnings even more, and I can safely say Shadows of the Past is my favorite of all. Following that same pattern, Falling into Placing, coming in December of this year, will likely be even better.

What draws me to Rivers' writing is the confident way she delivers her prose. She commits to everything on the page, and her characters are equally never timid. Amethyst is not unlike her preceding heroines, Fallon and Jess, in that she does not take crap from anyone. But she quickly comes into her own personality, as someone who is thoughtful and conscientious. Her hesitation to get involved with Hayden comes for a very good reason, and her fears are not unfounded. Hayden as well shares similarities with Brody and Slater (Rivers loves her strong, sensitive men, and who doesn't?), but then becomes a fully formed individual through his deeper strength and thoughtful nature. Just as with prior books, the two main characters are perfect for each other.

One other callout: Rivers gives us a glimpse into the world of Faerie, over 500 years ago, in the prologue. I wasn't sure how this historical flashback would compare to her urban paranormal romance style, but I can confidently tell you: she NAILED it. I would read books and books of her historical fantasy, and hope to see more of it in future books!

Oh Amethyst…. I love that little nymph. She is so very different from the other heroines we have encountered in this series, that’s not to say she isn’t a strong female lead but she definitely struggles to get the people who love her to see her as the strong adult she has become. She may be young but this book is about her finding her strength, love, and belief in her own powers.

I loved Hayden from the beginning, and I was super excited to learn more about him. He is not nearly as big of an ass as he was previously portrayed as. Though that was part of what I loved about him :) he is a strong character that I loved learning more about.

Hayden and Amethyst are a perfect match and I love, love, love them together though occasional I wanted Preston to end up with Amethyst. If you are a Preston fan you will have moments of heartbreak…This book had lots of Preston in it and I am now completely in love with that mage, he is definitely one yummy character who occasionally stole the show, and I loved every moment he showed up. I CANNOT WAIT FOR HIS BOOK.

I have to say that the prologue in this book was one of my favorite additions to this story. I loved learning a bit more about the history of Rivers’ Fae. She has built an amazing world that I so enjoy falling into.

This is one of my favorite additions to the Edenton Series, and has made me want so much more.

Meg's Review:
As with all Brandy's book this one is nothing short of wonderful. I love escaping into Edenton, its a world where I would love to never return from. Hayden and Amethyst's story is one full of strife and constant battle. Love, History, Passion, Truth, it all comes into play with their battle for love and a future.

Amethyst is looking for a new beginning. With her recent past haunting her she needs new. She needs safe. Hayden has lived in gray until Amethyst throws color into his life. Form the moment he meets her he feels it. Even if he doesn't know what "it" is he knows she is going to be something for him.

I loved how much more we divulged into the Fae world in this book. It expanded our view quite a bit. this as well as the added bonus of more Preston I was enamored. I enjoyed that more secondary characters were brought in and that we got bits and pieces of them as well. Lots of path for this series to take and every one of them fantastic! Throw in a possible love triangle and I am even more hooked than before.

A novel that flowed wonderfully and added exponentially to the series. A+!!

I received a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.

That was awesome!! This series seriously gets better and better with every new addition. Love it!! I am hooked on Edenton and the fantastic characters that the series revolves around. There is soooo much going on and all of the characters that I've come to love in the previous books are back. I love all of the men that Brandy L. Rivers has brought to life, yummy, hot, alpha men that let their women be the strong individuals that they are.

After the previous novella, Shadows Fall, I was desperate to find out what was going to happen next for Amethyst. When Amethyst moves to Edenton to get away from the drama that happened with her ex, she meets Hayden, the oh so sexy Sheriff, and the chemistry between them is immediate. I don't want to give spoilers to the storyline itself, but I will say that the big bad this time around is completely creepy and the mythology of what he is, is really cool.

Amethyst is an intriguing heroine, I freaking adore her. I love that she is a piercer with piercings and tattoos, plus she's got fantastic purple hair and violet eyes. A nymph with some very cool healing abilities, she is unique and strong while being feminine.

Hayden is a yummy earth fae, I've liked him from the first moment I read about him in the previous books and was very excited to read his story. He always came across as gruff and alpha and he still is now, but I loved being able to find out that he is more than that, with a definite soft side for Amethyst. I loved their relationship.

All in all, I absolutely love this series, it's one of my favorite paranormal romance series. Shadows of the Past was a great addition to the series, and I am very excited to see where Brandy L. Rivers will take her characters next. I would definitely urge any new readers to start at the beginning as there is sooo much going on, for everyone else that has been reading this series, don't miss out on this book - it's awesome.

Shadows of the Past is a great addition to the Others of Edenton series and this time around we have Amethyst Lakes, a nymph featured in the Shadows Fall novelette and Hayden Hunter – Edentons very own Fae Sheriff! The synopsis is very accurate in its description of the book but I would add that apart from the relationship drama there are other ‘shadows of the past’ for both of them to deal with and the main threat of the book.
I liked all of the characters that feature in these books so Amethyst & Hayden are no exception, they are a cool pair, Amethyst is very confident sexually so you would expect her to be a bit more dominant in that department but Hayden is more than man enough to deal with this nymph and give her what she needs. I liked that even though she is more than capable of looking after herself that she had a vulnerable side too….not that it lasted long. I thought Hayden did a great job of winning her around even though the chemistry between them was smokin’ so he didn’t need to push but I appreciated that he was willing to put his needs to one side in favour of her needs and it was great to see him in another light than the surly Sheriff we had been introduced to in the first book. I was actually surprised that Hayden turned out to be Amethyst’s love interest because Preston was my bet and actually I thought Dacia had made a connection with Hayden in book one.
The story featured a different threat than book one and I liked the introduction of the ‘Shadow Fae’, I liked the threat they posed to everyone, how they gained their strength and what they were trying to do, they gave the book a darker feeling and made you think that anyone could be turned into the enemy. I like how both Amethyst & Hayden’s families were connected to them also, we get all of the history in the prologue so don’t worry about missing anything. I liked how the story from Shadows Fall continues in this but I must say that you really must read Shadows Fall before reading this as you wouldn’t really know the ins & outs of what had happened to Amethyst and why everyone seems uber protective of her.
I never like love triangles or ‘other women’ but there is one in this series who takes it upon herself to claim every eligible man even though they wouldn’t touch her and as soon as I knew who Amethyst’s love interest was, I knew this woman would be a problem…. It’s quite amusing how she pops up to claim a man that has nothing to do with her, she’s the token bitch of the series and although she has ‘issues’ you can actually feel for her and when we get her book I think it will be emotional but for now, she amuses me. We also get to meet a few new characters in this and I liked them all, there are a few notable ones and we are introduced to book 3’s couple too which I am very much looking forward to but I’m looking forward to Preston’s book a lot more. I also wanted to know what gift Sapphire bestowed upon Hayden & his family… will we ever find out? Never the less this was an awesome read (I would expect no less) and as always, I’m left wanting more!

This is the fourth book in this series. It would be best if you read them in order.
This is the fourth book in this series. It would be best if you read them in order.

Amethyst is the new piercer at Inktastic in Edenton. Amethyst is a water nymph who heals with love and lust. Haydon is an earth fae. He recognizes the magical attraction between at first sight, but Amethyst has been frightened by a stalker ex. Our group of Others in Edenton are all under attack from a Shadow Fae who is encouraging and feeding off of the negative emotions of the citizens. This shadow fae has his eyes set on Amethyst to bring him to corporeal form in the Earth plane. Can Haydon protect Amethyst without frightening her?

When I read SHADOWS FALL, I said, “Haydon isn't going to know what hit him!” Wow, was I right. Once again Ms. Rivers has taken us on a journey into Edenton and what a fantastic journey it is! I love this story of learning to trust your mate, even when you don’t understand the journey they are taking beside you.

I continue to freaking love this series! Ms. Rivers knows I will continue to stalk her on Facebook (don’t worry, that’s a good thing). I look forward to Liz, Tremaine, and Preston’s story in the next book.

I received a copy of this book from LoP in exchange for an honest review.

Book two of the Others of Edenton series, Shadows of the Past tells the story of a petite and beautiful nymph Amethyst Lakes and our buff and strong Earth Fae, Sheriff Hayden Hunter.

Amethyst has moved to Edenton, due the whole fiasco with her ex-boyfriend Carl Umbar, as we saw in Shadows Fall. Still haunted by her past, Amethyst does not want to start a new relationship, despite the instant attraction between her and Hayden. And Hayden, for the first time wants to claim and protect.

We get a through background into Hayden and Amethyst’s ancestry and the evil that is lurking in Edenton, in the prologue of the novel. There is some super hot chemistry between Amethyst and Hayden, which both of them try to contain for a while, and then it just explodes.

Then there is Preston, and friend to Amethyst, who has always adored her. In her adolescence, Amethyst was in love with him, but he rejected her. But now things have changed a new realisation on Preston’s part is going to change their easy going relationship.

In this novel, Amethyst realises her full power and uses it to fight evil. She fully accepts what and who she is and what she is capable of. Amethyst does not condone violence, but when cornered she fights back dirty if need be. She uses magic as a last resort.

Shadows of the Past is funny and an entertaining read. It was fun to see the macho, uber-strong Sheriff Hayden speechless. Hayden and Amethyst share a strong relationship despite Hayden’s jealousy and Amethyst’s fear. They do come out stronger in the end.

I found the ending of the book a bit anti-climatic. The fight if it had ended at Dacia’s place, it would have been much more impactful. But the final victory over good over evil seemed very bland to me.

One thing I have noticed about this series is that all the women have come to Edenton to get away from their past relationships, with the exceptionof Jamie. Jess moved because of her then alpha, Fallon and Amethyst moved because of their ex-boyfriends. I’d like to know why the author does that.

It was an overall good book, but I prefer the earlier books. A 3.5/5 stars.

I received this book from the Author to give a truthful review.

I loved this book just like I did Brandy’s other books from this series. I was so excited to see it show up when she sent it to me. This had more back story in it and the world building was excellent. We were introduced to so many new people.
The prologue was great it took you back 520 years to the Earth Realm of Faerie where you are introduced to Sapphire (Amethyst’s grandma), Paavo (Amethyst’s brother), Mathis, Izackarus, Xenu (Hayden’s Dad), and others. Sapphire loses her life when taking out the last Shadow Fae, Izackarua.
Jump to present time. Amethyst runs from her past and goes to Edenton to be with Fallon. She runs into trouble when she first gets to Edenton that ends up putting her face to face with the Sheriff, Hayden. Everyone feels and knows there is something dark going on in Edenton but can’t put their finger on what it is. Amethyst tries to hide her feelings for Hayden and Hayden gives her time trying not to spook her, until the night at the bar when Dacia attacks Amethyst. Everything changed from there and the ride you go on from here is well you will just have to read it to find out because I don’t want to give away any spoilers.
Can I say I love it when Amethyst stands her ground and will throw down when need be. Everyone thought they need to step in and help the little Nymph and Amethyst shows them she is quite capable of taking care of herself. I love the kick ass girls but man sometimes the quiet ones can really surprise you.
I feel so bad for Preston I want to know when he will get his HEA he really needs to find someone to love and that will love him back. I want to know more about Amethyst’s brother, Paavo, and Mathis. There is Tomahauk and Darla…sigh. Then there is Dacia will she change?
I’m still trying to decide who I want to read about. Oh who am I kidding I want to know about all of them, but it sounds like it is going to be Robert, Liz, and Tremaine which means possibly more Preston.

*I received this book from the Author in exchange for an Honest Review*

The fourth installment of The Others of Edenton, we continue on with Amethyst's story. This book picks up almost exactly where Shadows Fall ends. An ancient enemy wants Amethyst and no one will let him have it.
I really liked the chemistry between Amethyst and Hayden. It was nice to see him take the stick out of his rear and not be such a hard arse. Of course Jess, Fallon, and the others all make several appearances as well.
Due to Amethyst being a Nymph, there were a lot more sex scenes in this book than the other three, and Brandy sure got creative with how they were done.
The only real problem I had with the story was that it was very anticlimatic. There's this whole build up on the enemy and killing him, that I was hoping there would be a scene like the fight with Malachi. But there wasn't. In fact this Shadow Fae seemed to be the easiest thing to kill.
I still loved the story though even with it's lack of a final battle and of course the characters who now sort of feel like friends. I look forward to reading the next installment of this series.
I give this book 4 of 5 paws

Just when I thought a series could not get any better, bam! Ms. Brandy does it. I absolutely love this series any who, but OMG I could not put this book down. I actually read the prologue TWICE! The storytelling and history in this chapter was the perfect setup for the rest of the book. I'm hoping that it's a little hint of something to come?!?!

Shadows of the Past takes place right after Shadows Fall. Lets just say, that Amethyst doesn't have the best welcoming to Edenton. She is pulled over for speeding and she placed into cuffs and hauled to the police station. And that is where Hayden starts getting soft!

I absolutely love Amethyst. She is kind of the complete opposite of Jess and Fallon. It's nice to have a someone who isn't so overpowering all the time. However, I think it does hurt her a little bit because people don't think she can handle her business.

Hayden... At first I was like OMG. Please don't let Ame hook up with him. He was kind of a dbag in the first books. Maybe it's because he is the Sheriff, that he comes across as a hard ass or maybe it was me. I did grow to like him as the book progressed and in the end, I love him, like I do all the guys from Edenton.

I believe I was the most upset about Preston. My heart broke from him. Please, oh please, write a book for Preston. He needs a HEA. However, Hayden and Ame do make a very good couple. I do love them.

So... Ms. Brandy... 5 + stars. Seriously. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this book. Paperback please! I think I might have to invent a new rating scale for your books.

An awesomely SEXY trip back to Edenton. Little tiny Amethyst is a siren, running from a tragic past relationship decides to join her friends in Edenton where she hopes she will blend in! Scared of her own nature and determined to stay away from the male species, all she wants is to live quietly and work as a piercer at the local tattoo shop. Unfortunately you can't run away from your true nature or your destiny.

Massively huge and quiet Hayden, the local sheriff/Earth Fae hasn't been attracted to a women in decades, and honestly doesn't believe he ever will again. But the moment he spots tiny water Fae Amethyst he is absolutely hooked. When her dark past and the past of her ancestors come back to haunt her, he will do everything necessary to protect her.

To be honest I wasn't a big fan of Hayden in the first book, he seemed overly suspicious and abrasive. I had a hard time picturing him as the same physical age as the rest of the characters. This book gives you insight into Hayden that proves under that steel like exterior, inside he is a big teddy bear. He loves his friends and is completely loyal, he would do anything for any one of them. Amethyst brings out his soft side for the whole world to see!

Rivers delivers another super sexy fast paced supernatural fantasy novel. It is a great addition to the Others of Edenton Series. I can hardly wait for our next trip to Edenton!

* I received an ARC from the author for an honest review *

I was super excited for this book to be released because I loved the previous Edenton books, #1 In Too Deep , #0.5 New Beginnings, #1.5 Shadows Fall. Brandy's characters are so lovable, I just wish I lived in Edenton with them all.

Shadows of the Past was Amethyst's story, it carries on from book #1 and book #1.5. I really liked Amethyst she was a caring soul who doesn't like what her fae powers can do.
Hayden the suspicious Sheriff we met in previous books has a larger role in this book, I loved seeing more of him, I wish we got to see more of what his Earth Fae powers can do. Hopefully we can see that somewhere in future books.
We saw a lot more of Preston then I was expecting. You could say his life oath changes in the book, I can't wait to see what instore for him in the future.
Now the Robert, Liz and Tremaine triangle is intriguing... Ms Rivers give me more!

The storyline flowed really well and like I said earlier I just adore all these characters. I can't wait to pick up the next book that Brandy gives us.

Amethyst Lakes is still a nymph with a problem but she doesn't quite know exactly why yet. Before you read this book read 1.5 Novella on the little nymph.

Ame moves up to Edenton from San Fran as she needs a change of scenery after what happened with her ex Carl.
The prologue of the book tells us of the shadow fae and how dangerous they can be and what they have done Sapphire makes the ultimate sacrifice to ban Izackerus and his people. They went to be in their human form and not shadows anymore.

In the previous book 1.5 we found out that Carl used some kind of spell.
Ame gets to Edenton and has a run in with a very pissed off werewolf as Ame reminds him of someone evil.
Ame is petite, has lavender eyes and purple/blueish hair and can pierce anything and anyone. The were drags her down to the station and that is where she meets Hayden "Suspicious" Hunter or later known as Sherriff Eyeball and who knew that he could be a gentle giant and such a teddy bear?!

BL Rivers has once again created a book full of magic and wonderful characters. The cocky mage Preston realized too late what he could have had and Dacia doesn't seem like a bad person and she always come in when someone is most needed. Ame is the better person when it comes to Dacia.

I like how we see all the other characters develop and I really hope that it works out for Tomahawk.

I need the next installment soon please.

I loved this book. I say that about every book that comes out in this series, because they just keep getting better and better!

Amethyst is amazing. I felt like the more I read, the more I understood her and loved her more. She is strong and beautiful and has had a lot of heartbreak in her life. A stalker ex who has ended his life and all that came with that didn't help. But I felt like when she met Hayden things just finally started clicking for her. It felt like a really great match from the first moment they met!

Brandy has a habit of doing this. Finding matches that work instantly and nurturing the story of their love until you find it almost impossible to see them with anyone else. This book did that, but it also made you wish that Preston would find his happily ever after too. Jesus, the pain that I felt reading Preston at times was almost unbearable. BRANDY GIVE HIM A HEA!!!!

We see our little Fae heroine go through another drama, this one major, and still she comes out the other side stronger and unbelievably alright. I loved this one the most....

This whole series is so amazing! Brandy just knows how to pull you into this world and keep you coming back for more!

I give it 5 lipsticks!

I feel like I only give this series a 5 star rating, and I swear to you that is not my norm, but this series is AMAZING! I love the characters, who you can totally relate to despite their supernatural abilities. They are all people I would hang out with and I have come to love them

Ok on to the book, Amethyst is running from her past, her ex committed suicide aand she thinks its her fault, she was sent to the Silver Council and put through the Abyss! She needs a fresh start and her BFF Fallon told her to come to Edenton. Well of course her first impression of this town was not good after Simons manhandled her in a routine stop, but she did get to meet the sexy Sheriff Hayden (who is one of my favorite characters), and now she cannot stop thinking about him.

With all the craziness going on in town lately, and normal, nice people doing things they would not normally do, Preston (who I also LOVE) comes to town to just complicate Ame's feelings even more. The Shadow Fae are trying to take over and no one knows why, but they are pretty sure there is a connection between them, Ame, and her ex.

This is another action packed, love story with hot, steamy love scenes, I honestly could not put it down, and cannot wait for the next book, Thanks Brandy I am hooked!

Amethyst is running from her past and a memory so shameful it hurts. She doesn't care that it was the only solution to an intolerable situation. She used her power to send her ex away for good. He killed himself in his grief and she can't forgive herself for that.

Hayden has his hands full and isn't looking for anything right now. Something is happening in Edenton and he needs answers before more people are hurt or killed. Fate has other ideas when she is pulled over for speeding by an officer having a really bad day. Hayden takes charge of her and the attraction is instant. Trouble is, Amethyst isn't ready for a relationship.

Several of my favorite characters are back in this second full novel of the series. Preston has always looked out for her and he is willing to step between Amethyst and anything or anyone who could hurt her. Jess has seen something evil coming and Amethyst is key to a solution that can only go drastically wrong for the world, or save it. I can't say too much without giving everything away. I enjoyed this book immensely. The characters keep growing as does the depth in the world Rivers has created for her Others. Rivers is on a run and I don't see it ending any time soon.

I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

Um.. yeah the cover I know two scenes where that bad boy takes place (winks) anywho you can't help but fall in love with Ame the girl is just so easygoing, "I'm fine. Can I get a Guinness and something fruity but packs a punch? Not enough to get drunk - I just want a little buzz." She sighed, and took a deep breath to slow herself down. "I don't need to be pulled over again, and it seems Sheriff Eyeball over there has decided to keep an eye on me." Hayden is starting to get violent tendencies especially where Ame is concerned, "still, Hayden wanted to clock the pervy ba***** for even thinking about Amethyst." We also discover the boy has a kinky side, and Ame knows his little secret but isn't letting on (good let the boy sweat for awhile,) "I went for a swim, naked. He watched, but he was hiding. He doesn't know I know, but I kind of got off on it." And ladies we shouldn't doubt Hayden's mad bedroom skills take is from Ame the boy knows what he's doing, "he pulled my hips up and drove it home like we could become one, and I think we sort of did for awhile." Amethyst blushed." Although I loved Ame and Hayden, Jess and Slater still hold my heart in this series.

I absolutely love this series.

This is Amethyst & Hayden's story, with the gorgeous Preston thrown in for good measure.

Amethyst is a beautiful Water Nymph, who has come to Edenton to start a new life, away from the horror of her ex killing himself. When she meets Hayden, an Earth Fae who is the local sheriff, there is an instant attraction. Preston, who works for the Silver Council, has always looked out for Amethyst.

This is an exciting & very sexy story. Amethyst & Hayden are HOT together. It was lovely seeing the big gruff Hayden melt around Amethyst.
It gets exciting when an age old enemy is back after Amethyst.

We get reunited with our favorite characters again & learn a little about each & every one.

I loved it, roll on Book #3

The further I get into this series of books the more I can't believe that I've never heard of the author before or seen reviews for this series on any of the review sites I belong to!

Amethyst is a Water Fae who decided to move up to Edenton as her friends Fallon and Jess have already moved there. After a run-in with one of the local cops she meets Hayden, the Sheriff, who is an Earth Fae and well, things get interesting especially when you add an bodiless evil force so old his name is barely remembered but who needs a Water Fae to return him to his physical shape to him and has his attention is set on Amethyst and not in a good way.

These books just get better and better and I am dreading finishing what has already been published and having to wait for the author to produce more.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review (Lovers of Paranormal).

Shadows of the Past centers on Amethyst, a nymph or water fae, who moves to Edenton to escape her past and ex-boyfriend, Carl. She had to use her power to send Carl away for good. He killed himself shortly after and she feels responsible.

Fate steps in when she is pulled over for speeding by an officer having a very bad day and drags her to the police station. Hayden takes charge of her and the attraction is instant. Trouble is, Amethyst isn't ready for a relationship.

Many of the other characters are involved when a Shadow Fae is determined to reclaim his own physical body causing chaos and upsets in Edenton. This series gets better with each installment.

I love this series and Brandy has done an excellent job with Shadows of the Past. I love Ame's character and the chemistry between her and Hayden. Hayden is strong and sexy but he has to hold himself back, give Ame time to heal from a bad experience. Can Hayden help her heal? Ame is strong, sweet but she doesn't believe in herself or trust her powers. Ame's family is the center of an age old feud. What will happen when the evil is back? Who will be in danger? This book contains so many different elements: danger, lust, realizations, secrets and love! I highly recommend this series, fall in love with Edenton and its residents.

Shadows of the Past
Others of Edenton #2

I absolutely love this series, and this book is no exception. Once I started reading, I soon devoured the book from start to finish, and fell in love with Amethyst and Hayden. Despite the instant attraction, Amethyst is trying her best to stay of Hayden, but she really has no choice. The swimming scenes were classic, and I could easily imagine them happening as Amethyst teases Hayden. One thing I do know, the girls in this town have no idea how good they have it!

I received an e-copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Ah, I love the Edenton world. Amethyst and Hayden's story was just as AWESOME as Jess & Slater's was (my previous favorite).

I loved learning about the Fae, they were so interesting, I sometimes prefer them over werewolves because there are so much more substance to them (so interesting).

So needless to say that Amethyst was a badass, I actually think she was my favorite female character in Edenton yet, I LOVED HER.

The love story was amazing and I just want more and more from Brandy Rivers, the books get better as the series goes on and I can't wait to read the next story.

5 stars again!

Oh, where can I even start with this review without giving away too much? First, Amethyst is an awesome heroine; strong and tender as needed, but more than able to hold her own, which I love. And then there's Hayden. I've loved the guy since he was first introduced and this book did not disappoint at all! There's a LOT of sizzle between these two, and it was beautiful to watch Hayden opening up. And then, just to hook me again, there's Preston. If you love character-driven stories, you should definitely read this series! Throw in plenty of action, some great world-building, and those sizzles, and you've got yourself a winner!

As the the stories build upon each other and we get to know the characters in more depth, I just find myself completely hooked by this world. I loved the idea of Amethyst and Hayden and in this story we got to have a ring side seat in their journey to finding each other. Each story has some evil element that the citizens of Edenton must overcome, and it seems as though in each book they just get creepier and darker than the one that came before. However since the good people just keep getting stronger and their abilities more diverse I found myself waiting with baited breath to see how the would prevail this time.

Really enjoyed this latest book in the Others series. I've always liked Hayden's character, but this time we learn so much more about him and his past. Amethyst has become one of my very favorite characters as well. There is a darker feel to this book, and a very nasty enemy to deal with. I can't wait to see what happens next. As usual, there are strong female characters, lots of action, suspense, and magic. Steamy sex, romance and naughtiness add to the fun. Rivers has done it again, and her world of Edenton just gets bigger and better.
