Until about 70% of the book, it was so good! The character development, especially, was great. But after that point, the story just kept getting more confusing and repetitive.

I felt like I was trapped in a strange dream after a night with way too much tequila.

I cried laughing. I think I have started developing abs. Draco is wonderfully ridiculous.

Almost 5 stars.

I LOVED it. there was some comedic PLATINUM (Fuck off, Todd)

But there were also some places that was trying a little too hard

a CLASSIC

This has made its way into my top 5 Dramione fics 🙌 Same vibes as DMATMOOBIL with pining Draco, enemies to lovers, forced proximity and the witty banter and Draco POV. Hermione is a total BAMF and is honestly a really perfect portrayal of how I could see her ending up after the HP series.

If you loved DMATMOOBIL and want that + some Indiana Jones level action and ancient Egyptian mythology thrown in, this one is for you.

P.S. LadyUrsa's chapter notes are the cherry on top and made me laugh out loud almost every chapter.

BAMF Hermione is so cool. i loved her in this and i loved her opening up and having a soft spot hidden deep down.

the adventures and all the mythical god stuff was really cool and intertwining it into the magic world was really neat.

-1 star because while the god stuff was cool, it got really boring the more it went on.

Pros:
-Egyptology, the underworld, and a tomb robbing fun adventure of a time.
-The most BAMF Hermione I have ever read.
-The vibes were the closest thing to DMATMOOBIL that I've ever seen.
-Magical beast tattoos and where [on Hermione's body] to find them.
-Great elaboration on the magical systems of arithmancy and curse breaking.
-Excellent use of Draco's "shan't".
-Teasing "Todd" about his name was hilarious.
-This is just enough crack to be different and interesting but still sane enough to be coherent.

Cons:
-Some scenes lasted way too long. Them being in the underworld drug on. The pacing could have been cleaned up a bit.
-It lost the "curse-breakers" plot a bit. They are curse breakers for the bank, so why are they intent on finding Atlantis and why do they have to tomb-rob and steal and go to the underworld to get there?
-Why/how were they constantly being chased by idiots through impossible situations? The evil "Todd" being behind it all felt added in as an afterthought. Was the curse-breaking and tomb-robbing not enough tension? We had to add buffoons to it?
-"Let's crack on then" was used too much. Way too much.

This felt like an alternate universe. I loved the characters and the storyline. I felt the plot had similarities to other fanfics - specifically Green Light and searching for myths and legends in Egypt and across the world. But the writing style is entirely different. This is an adventure story with romance and not a romance with adventure/plot. Some of the concepts felt overdone. And aspects of the story lacked a certain maturity when required. It was fun but needed editing/condensing and rounding out. Plus a literal edit for all the typos and grammar mistakes that interrupted the flow of enjoying the storyline.

draco would never say "ah-righty-o" and hermione would never find entertainment and joy out of killing magical beasts.

the action was written atrociously:
"Granger threw up a Protego before they both dropped themselves to the ground and a volley of five flaming spears flew through small slits in the door directly where their heads had been the moment before.

lastly, the exposition of hermione's past was done via explanation which was a) written poorly and b) bored me to tears.

🧩 Trama (senza spoiler inutili)

one of the best Dramione fics out there. it was hilarious, fluffy, romantic, magical, and dull of adventure. I was cackling like a mad woman during half the book. Lady Ursa writing is so engaging and entertaining I could take my mind from this for days.

It took me almost a month to finish this read but it's definitely not because I find the story lacking or whatnot. It was thoroughly enjoyable and funny. It was written well too. Definitely a fun and light read overall.

This definitely gave Batmobile vibes and I loved it. it was so fun to read about these two idiots arguing about arithmancy. The plot was really engaging.
