Freedom requires financial security; love requires risking it all.
Sabrina’s goal in life was Break free. Free from the Nebraska trailer park where she grew up; free from the addictions that killed her dad; and free from the minimum wage labor that wreck her mom’s body. She’s finally done that when a tree crashes into her life, a tornado takes out her hometown, and her best friend goes missing. Sabrina knows a single choice can save everyone she loves, but it requires giving up everything she’s worked for.
Freddy’s life is a painful façade. He’s the family joker whose mother still does his laundry, but it’s easier to go along and get along than fight the role he plays. His smile puts strangers at ease, and his life is peaceful contentment. But none of it is real. Only his best friend, Sabrina, knows how invisible Freddy feels. She sees his real laugh and gets his dark sarcasm, which is exactly why he can never pursue his growing feelings for her. He learned, long ago, how devastating rejection can be.
When TI’s adversaries try to use Freddy for his knowledge and connections, his façade is blown to smithereens. His only hope is the woman who refuses to cross the boundaries of their friendship. Is saving Freddy worth giving up everything Sabrina’s fought to achieve?
This friends-to-lovers, forced proximity, romantic suspense novel features two gamers with shared feelings. She’s a strong female who is his only hope for rescue when he gets kidnapped. With plenty of steam, no cheating, and an HEA for the couple, it continues the overarching conflict from books 1 & 2 of Taylor Industries. The books are best read in order.
What another great story in the Taylor Industries series. To be honest all the tech talk throughout the beginning of the book made my head spin a little. However, it didn’t interrupt the flow of the book. I am not one for miscommunication between the MC’s and this one did have that, but it didn’t drag on and in the end the communication was spicy!!!
Freddy and Sabrina’s story is a friend’s to lover’s kind of story. Seeing that they both work behind the seems, or shall I say computer screens, they seem to get one another. The only issue is they think the other doesn’t feel the same way…blah blah blah…will you kiss already!!! Sabrina has some issues when it comes to relationships and all she wants to do is run, while Freddy has issues with trust. In the end, the story is short and sweet with a little storm damage.
With each book, Maria Secoy takes you down a path you least expect with found family with a little sprinkle of mystery.
Another great book in the Taylor Industries series! This time it's brother Freddy and Sabrina's turn! These two have been good friends for a while - but each of them was afraid to take things any further for fear of destroying such a good friendship. The central plot of this book centered around leaked information, and who, within Taylor Industries, might be to blame. So, while this book can be read as a standalone, it makes so much more sense if you read this series in order. I love the plot twists in these books! I saw a couple things coming, but then, the author goes a different direction than my thoughts, and I am thrown for a loop! I like it! It's no fun when the solutions are too evident, or easy! I'm definitely hooked on this series! I received an ARC of this book - but these are my very own opinions!
I read this book as a standalone book, and I do believe that doing so really hindered the experience. I had no backstory between the characters so I really didn't understand the level of the tension between the characters, but I did feel as though I was able to catch on soon. All of the technology talk in the beginning also threw me for a loop, and wasnt my favorite. The miscommunication trope was really well done, its not my favorite trope, but Maria wrote it very well and the communication level aside from that is truly top notch.
I couldn't put this book down! This story had me turning the pages to see what would happen next. This book was centered around Freddy and Sabrina. I love the plot twists in this book. I saw a couple of things coming, but then, the author led me in a different direction than my thoughts, and I was thrown for a loop! I'm definitely hooked on this series. Highly recommend this book!
This story starts with a bang! And keeps going. I loved the character's and how they developed. Suspense kept me turning the pages until the very end. This was a fun read with witty dialogue and loveable characters. Cant' wait to see what happens next!
Its always a bit frustrating when friends have feelings they don't dare express however the suspense and danger and romance kept me turning pages! Good story!
