Of Beast and Brawn is an action packed book full of time travel, fated mates, curses, wolves, dragons and magic. It is a quick knock them dead kind of book starts from page one and doesn't let you put it down. It is sinfully sexy and written with dual POV. This allows you to get to know the characters up close and personal and is definitely for the over 18 crowd. That being said I love a character driven story. Trean and Kaia's story is definitely enticing. The book may start out slow if you haven't read any other books from this author but I don't feel you need too. Let your self be enticed by the amazing world building and the time travel but mainly by a 21st century independent woman being thrust back into medieval Ireland and just feel the richness.

What happens when the son of Medieval Irish Viking and a woman from the 21st century have in common. Besides being fated mates. Trean and Kaia have a lot to work through. Trean is under a curst that would keep him safe but has him fighting battle after battle. So what is one more curse that takes him and his pack to protect and raising a Viking dragon. What can co wrong , I mean the dragons are enemies of the wolves . What else could go wrong oh yeah just home from a battle and well now we have a mutiny going on within the pack. Kia is well she could be a distraction that he can't have . Even if he is about to take her hostage and use her as a bargaining chip. But will he let her go.
Kaia and Trean are the main characters of this story. Kaia is a modern woman who was just bitten by a wolf and she is now a new werewolf. She really doesn't know what is happening for a bit . She is strong and sassy with a protective streak a mile wide . Trean is well he is a Viking with a protective strike for Kaia and his pack. He is also torn between his fated mate and his duty to his pack . The characters are very well written and complex . You will like Trean and Kaia together. They fight like cats and dogs but when they come together the sparks fly. They are truly meant to be. We also get meet other members of his clan that will fight with him.
This is one of those books that will take you a bit of time to get into this book but once you do there is no going back. The author takes us on an epic adventure where you get wolves, dragons and fated mates . I am really starting to like the author's way of writing and the development of her characters . Which are complex in their own right but when they get together the explode . A great summer read for those long summer days by the pool .

I have not previously read a book by this author. I liked how at the front of the book she states this is a different writing style for her. I enjoyed the story and the style of writing. It did seem as if you jumped into a story at first it was hard to understand the female character. The author did also state you did not need to read a previous book to read this book. The male character has been in another book. I really liked his character- he was honest as he could be. He was an Alpha Alpha yet got on the floor to play with the pups. Their relationship was somewhat forced at first but not violent. She was argumentative from the start. Very defensive and had no trust for any of them. As the story went on and more layers to her were exposed, you finally understood her and why she was the way she was. The story overall is a slow reveal but a hot burn between them. The story has a great ending -kinda. The other two cousins play an important part in the overall storyline. So yes you finish with the first couple but you have at least 2 more books to have a comple story. I did enjoy this read and plan on reading the next books as well.

Steamy, Time Travel, Shifter Romance
This tale blends time travel, steamy romance, and the supernatural into one compelling story. She's his destiny, but her connection to his enemy makes their bond dangerously forbidden. When past and future collide, passion and conflict ignite. A fun, engaging read for fans of paranormal and time-travel romance.

Boring

Sorry, but this book is highly uninteresting. Dual POV makes it even more confusing and chaotic than the generally confusing writing style. I started skipping at 50%, gave up at 65%. There are many references to how aroused the MMC an FMC make each other, but frankly it's jus meh. The sex scene uses the words like "on fire" but is just as bleh as any other sex reference prior the scene. I cannot honestly recommend it.

Time traveling werewolves and shifter fated mates filled the pages of this exciting read. I enjoyed the overall story. It had a hint of danger and a wonderful fated mates love story.

Tréan and Kaia were good together. Kaia was strong and feisty and Tréan was a protective warrior.

If you enjoy time travel romances, fated mates, wolf shifters, strong FMC, protective MMCs, then check this one out!

A tale of fated mates told from each of their povs. Kaia is one tough cookie-she's a newly bitten female from the future when she crosses path with Trean the alpha of a pack. Time-travel, curses, steamy scenes, a Viking dragon and a conflict between fated mates created a unique storyline. I enjoyed being immersed in this world of chaos and look forward to see how events play out in the next story.

Kaia is newly turned and doesn't know how to handle the change. What is she to do with this male who just showed up out of nowhere? Tréan is a wolf shifter from the past. He stumbles upon an enticing scent that has him traveling to the future. There he meets his mate, but she's the daughter of his blood enemy. Can they learn to trust and love one another, or is this match cursed to fail?

Enjoyed this story a lot. This book should be a five, it has all of my favorite things in a book: time traveling, wolves, fated mates but sometimes the pace decreases and some other it gets a bit confusing. The main characters go great together and the story keeps you glued to the pages, looking forward to book two.

Trean and Kaia's story incorporates two of my favorite tropes--shifters and time travel. It's amazing how those she's connected with in the present aren't who they seem. Kaia's adaptation to her new circumstances are more easily accepted by her new connections. This is an intense, suspenseful, and revealing world.

The heat, the tone, the vision is all there. I could backgroundvof the characters and the world building was on point. I could really picture this book like a movie in my head! it was spicy and descriptive. the main couple were the best fit and I loved her sassy nature.
