I received this "coffee-table" book when my MIL downsized at the retirement community. Brief but satisfying description of the history of the AT and replete with photographs that are especially meaningful to a AT hiker. I look forward to grazing at the pictures or witnessing the views in real-life as I continue my quest of hiking the AT.

Muench obviously has a good understanding and a deep love for the Appalachian trail. Beautiful photos, some he had to really work for.
