I bullied her when we were kids because that was the only way to make her notice me.
Unfortunately, it backfired and only made her hate me. That doesn’t mean I don’t take every opportunity to slip inside her orbit. Maybe annoy Heather as often as I can since I prefer that over her ignoring me.
So when she needs someone to stand in as her date and pretend boyfriend for her grandmother’s birthday party, I volunteer.
She loathes the idea, but left with no other choice unless she wants her twin sister and ex to make fun of her, Heather begrudgingly agrees. In the process, all those years of animosity and tension—mostly from her end—come to a head and morph into something just as intense.
Desire. Blinding lust. Primal needs.
I’ve known Heather all my life, but I should’ve figured out my crazy antics would get us nowhere. Because apparently, there’s only one way to keep her quiet—kiss her like my life depends on it. And after this little charade ends, we’re not going back to the way we were. No!
Once I’ve claimed her—mind, body, and soul—only death will keep us apart.
Or maybe not. Because I sure as hell will follow her anywhere, even in the afterlife. Heather, baby, you’re stuck with me. Whether you like it or not.
I didn't really get into it but it was short enough so I didn't have to dnf it. They acted like such kids In The beginning. I Noticed that She said that is popular in school, like it was current. But he mentioned graduating college and she was drinking wine. then at the end they are magically adults & she's making business deals at her desk with her rest pencil skirt and stilettos. *eye roll*
Then they were going to parties in mansions? and he was mean to her but because he liked her so much. ok that's valid when you're young but he tortured her for all their lives. It was all stupid. she hates him so much for all the torture he put her thru for YEARS, then they are hooking up because she's so hot for him.
And don't get me started at the fact that he called her "Heath" as a nickname. Heath? Ugh! How would u even pronounce that?
It's a disappointment from one of my fav authors. The mmc says he I'd obsessed with fmc. He hooks up with other females n says he has always been into the fmc. That's a load of bull. U don't sleep with others if ur all for the fmc n shec jus forgive him so easily. I disliked everything about this short story. I can't stand a character that's says they love n are 100 percent into the fmc but yet sleep around. Pathetic. How can he say she is my future wife, n he been stalking her n hooks up with others. Disgusting... Fmc is weak . Waste of my time . Done with this this series. U don't sleep around if u love n, etc, the other. N ge was forgiven so easily. Pushover fmc
Who doesn't have someone in their past that always made them want to scream? Good scream, bad scream, makes no difference.
The point is, did you ever consider they just wanted you to notice them... Of course, they could have been sincere in their need to torment you, make you miserable... The world is full if those kinds of people. The problem is understanding just which type they are.
Isn't it amazing when you have that instant of understanding, that piercing moment of connection that simply knocks your feet out from under you?
This book is a steamy love story. Baron was typical boy who tau the the girl to make het notice him. Heather is a sweetheart with bite, LOVE her. Their story is must read!! This book has just the right amount of passion to keep you reading with a well written story. Enjoy,I did!!!
this man who started off as her biggest bully didn't have the nerve all those years ago to tell her that he loved her all along. that he had been her stalker and loving her from afar. and then one event is what brought them together and made them happy. and I do love Mimi. She is a spitfire. loved Heather and Baron together.
How can two people who share the same womb not be besties. I loved Baron and Heather's story. From bully to best friend to husband. And her Mimi was the highlight of this book.
Short sweet, an a little over the top... Baron likes Heather so to get her attention, he picks on her. Then when she needs a date to her grandmother's party he convinces her to take him. There is a run-in with her selfish twin, and the rest is history.
This is a cute quick read! I really like Baron and Heather. The story was short sweet and to the point. I wish we had seen them at his event unless it was make believe.
I can so appreciate this story. I had a guy tell me years later why he was so mean to me, he liked me. Go figure. This was a cute story with a happy ending.
This book I had a lot of hopes that I would like. And I liked it a little bit but I feel it could have been a lot better in the development of the story even in the shorter format.
Me enamoro esta historia , si perdieron tiempo , pero “eventualmente “ se encontraron justo a tiempo . Esta historia merece mas , pero este extracto es Perfecto !

Heather & Baron have always had a bumpy relationship. He bullied &, teased me all thru school. Never knew until I needed a fake boyfriend that he liked me growing up. Now I have the hots for this successful man. Good for us both.
