Cassie Douglass's life is passing her by. That is until she meets international recording artist Braxton Carter. The attraction between them is electric and instant. What comes next is even harder. This curvaceous beauty has to rid herself of her insecurities and take a chance with a man who's life is in stark contrast of everything she's ever known.
A decent, spicy romance novella. I liked both characters. Cassie is sassy but uses it as kind of a shell for her insecurities. But she grows as a result of the short journey in this story, which is all I ask of any story. The idioms and metaphors for various anatomy and acts didn't bother me.
BUT...
Yeah it had too many errors for something this short. Those should have been cleaned up between the time of publication and now. I'll still give the rest of the series a read, but that was the only disappointing aspect of this book and hence the reduction from 4 to 3.
Not worth the read. Badly written. Apparently she didn't think an editor was necessary. Too fast, and dear lord, her choice of words to describe the sex scene and body parts was atrocious.
I have to really, really, REALLY dislike a book to not at least go ahead and finish the series off.......I'm not even touching the 2nd book, and this one has been deleted off my kindle so as to not take up space for good books.
Way too many hyperboles and metaphors. Oh my goodness, I never want to read another musically referenced sexual escapade or desire again. “Play my breasts like ivory keys on a piano.” What the actual F.
As a former classical musician, I can honestly say that there is truly nothing enticing when musical instruments are referenced to describe for-play or sex.
so this is the first BBW romance I have read. I have several I have one clicked but have yet to get to. well the cover and book descript. called to me for this one. I'm a BBW so the plot appeals to me.....however....I ended up skipping through most of this book. the writing was very amateur, it need major editing, and the over all story was not very good. I hope the next BBW romance I pick up isn't this bad!
Ugh what a disappointment! I confused the author's name and picked this book expecting a fun story and got this confusing, badly written and full or errors part of an actual one. The sad thing is I wanted to abandon it after a few pages but was hoping it gets better (another disappointment) and now I regret I didn't. After this experience I doubt I'll read anything else by this author again - a sad first for me.
A lot of editing errors. Just couldn't get into this quick read. Usually, I like the hot quick books full of sex but this one lost me VERY Quick. A good sex scene existed which is why I gave it 2 instead of 1 stars!
Great reading, slow start but good when it got going. I really enjoyed it, reading bbw romance does my bbw self the world of good. It makes me hopeful of romance.
Cute storyline and fun characters, but some of the intimate descriptions were a little silly and brought me out of the story. All in all it was a good read.
I had to skim this book to finish it. I'm so tired of "curvy" FAT women being so insecure about their bodies!! WHY! Why can't someone write about a confident fat woman? This novella read like a bad porn movie. The characters were unrealistic, uninteresting and predictable. The writing style, in my opinion, was awful. Was there no editor?
The language during the sex scenes were painful to get through. The adjectives used to describe Cassie's vagina were embarrassing. Not my cup of tea at all. I will never not recommend a book though, so if you think you'll like it; read it.
This wasn't a bad start to what I am going to go out on a ledge and say is a love triangle. Braxton is a Jazz musician and Cassie is an insecure "curvy" girl who ends up having a great night os sex with a man that she knows could stomp all over her heart. Cassie shows her insecurities and Braxton tries to quell them while at the same time talk her into going with him on a 2 week long mini tour with him.
Will this next step fizzle their relationship or will it expand it...
As much as I love to read this kind of books.... This book just didn't really make sense to me at all, who in there right mind would have sex with someone they just met? Unless your really despite.... Gosh come on that just put a bad name for ladies with curves... Well sorry but I wont be reading the rest of the series.... But I do have other book written by Evelyn Rosado so well see how those books going to be....
Cassie knows heart ache since school for being bullied for her weight (I connected to her since I was also bulled for my weight but...) anyways a handsome jazz musician enters the picture she falls for him and his 'lies' to get what they want and then turn around ans push her away. But what she finds out that he's actually very...... sorry, not spoiling it.
character has some issues with her size. I understand and appreciate the reality of that but I'm not sure if it helped introduce the story series. It needed some more descriptions for it to work a little bit better for the reader. I will try this author again.
An interesting concept for a book, but the character is poorly developed and moves from proud and defiant to hurt and innocent much too quickly, so that she almost seems like two separate people. My other big problem was the ending of the book, which was much too short (one sentence, really) and jarring to read as any sort of conclusion.
This was an interesting read. I wanted to read something that doesn't have skinny girls in and this was perfect. She liked food and a guy liked her for her curves! It was a short read but I kinda enjoyed it.
pass on this one. skimmed nearly every page. sad since there were only 35. just couldn't get over the discrepancies in the first few pages, made others stand out.
