Syncere and Saint are key players in the powerful organization founded by Gotti, which dominates the city of Newark. Life is smooth and secure under Gotti's reign, but things take a dark turn when their younger brother mysteriously disappears. As they scramble to uncover the truth and rescue him, they must navigate a dangerous race against time. Along the way, unexpected secrets are revealed, and hidden enemies come to light, leaving the brothers shocked and questioning everything they thought they knew.
I am stilled trying to wrap my mind around what I just read! While picking my jaw up off the floor! That plot twist caught me completely off guard! That came from down the street around the corner and across the street! I never in a million years would have seen that coming! Outstanding
This was a good but emotional read. It was sad and heartbreaking how they did samir. He truly didn't deserve that but I never would've guest who was all involved. I hope to hear from syn again hope he is able to forgive his self. He did whay needed to be done
Although I loved the start of this book, I can honestly say that the way she wrote this story pissed me off bad!!!! I have one question for this author... Why???? It makes me not want to read anything else written by her!!!
This book will have you emotional but will piss you off at the same time. I love the family dynamic between Syncere ,Saint, Samir and their mother Faith. Syncere family treated his girlfriend Dream like she was a part of the family as well. However Syncere and Saint had a enemy lurking that they had no clue about. This unknown person came into their life like a thief in the night and changed their family lives forever. Samir was a good kid. It broke my heart to know what happened to him. He truly was a sweet kid and didn't deserve to be caught up in someone else hatred and jealousy. When Dream went into labor. I never expected the phone call Syncere got while at the Hospital with her waiting for Dream to deliver their son. Would reveal how much of a trifling , scandalous, conniving, snake Dream was. Dream had no clue that Syncere was more than the owner of a well known Security Company and as well as his brother Saint who owned a butcher shop. Syncere and Saint was very connected to the infamous Gotti Organization but she learned that the hard way after all her secrets came out. Josiah should've let that hurt go about Samaad because Samaad was a abusive piss poor piece of shyt. Josiah mother tried to tell him in a letter after she passed away how his so called father used to beat on her but Josiah didn't give a damn. He blamed Syncere and Saint for his father death which was dumb as hell. Saint wasn't giving anybody a pass. Any and everybody that was involved with what happened to Samir had to go.
Book 2 had me feeling the hurt for these boys mother, the sins and actions of their father is what started everything, but only if Josh she's mother would have given him that letter sooner maybe things wouldn't have turned out the way it did. When Dream had the baby I knew somehow she was involved because after Synn took that call his reaction towards her and the baby was odd, but when they where on their way to her surprise and she realized she left her cell and started to panic that gave confirmation, too bad she didn't follow her own mind. The cries for Meet will have you tearing up, this young mans life which ended for no reason, not going to say much don't want to spoil it. Great read I hope to read more about these brothers as the series continues.
Wow this standalone is lit. I dropped so many tears for Mir I had to keep pausing and play a game to get my mind right to finish it. Cause Babyboy did not have to go out like that. And I’m glad their step brother and that snake dream and all the people that helped them do that to Babyboy is gone. Gotti is there for his people. U really need to do an update on them it’s more that can come from them. U did good on the first book that I read of urs and I can’t wait to read more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read
This book played with my emotions!!!..I’m alway so excited to read about a younger sibling that is not in the streets and focused on doing some good things with their life!!!… My heart was crushed with how Josiah did Samir!!…Him screaming and crying for his momma made me cry a little!!!… The fact that Dream was part of it truly made my emotions boil over!!!…She played in Thor face like she did nothing wrong!!…I’m glad she got her Karma for real!!!… I don’t know how Syncere kept it together the way he did, but I was proud of how he handled business!!!… Saint was definitely a Saint and he played no games about his family or friends!!!…
Syncere and Dream were a couple in love and she was pregnant with his son! Syncere never knew his happy life was about to change for the worse. His baby brother was killed as a vendetta to him and his younger brother. Syncere never knew why until Gotti’s organization caught the culprits. Dream was an accessory to the murder of his brother! How could he be in love with a murder! When the plot unfolds revenge is on his mind! There is a thin line between love and hate! Dream learned the hard way! A great read!
The House That Gotti Built Newark: Syncere & Dream (The House That Gotti Built - Season 1 Book 2) Idk if this book had a trigger warning and I missed it but whewwww. I thought this series was going to be about the come up. Don’t get me wrong things go wrong in street life. But I wasn’t prepared to read such a dark twist. Hit too close to home for me. Buttttttttt I needed to see street justice served and I was not disappointed. The plot twist was chefs kiss. I figured something was up with the love of his life😩😩😩. On to part three chileeeeeee
Syncere and Saint were amazing brothers. They were excellent role models to Samir. They made sure he took care of business in school and sports, but they spared nothing when it came to him. Dream deserved every bit of karma that she received! Syncere and his entire family were great to her, only to be betrayed. Saint may as well make Mel his woman. She fits him perfectly. This family was great together. Their mom endured a lot losing her son, but Saint and Syncere will make things better. Great read.
Get your tissues ready because this book will have you in tears!!
Cherie Harris baby you took me through it with this one. My heart ached for Syncere, Saint and their mom after the trauma they experienced and to think the whole time the snake was right there slithering around them. I am so glad they were able to get Justice for Samir and those two snakes deserved everything they got in the end..
See dream done got herself caught up in the wrong people all for Josiah who couldn't even help neither of them out the situation now their job would be parentless she should've just said no both of them went at things all wrong all for nothing he should have found out the real facts first before he did what he did this book was good especially since I'm from newark also so I knew about all the streets lol
From the beginning to the end this was a great read. I had a feeling where the storyline was going, but there was some unexpected things that happened too. I hope there is a part two because I want to see what happens with Mel and Saint as well as with Syn, I feel like he is going to fall for a family member of Dreams. I also want to know more about The Twins Snake and Viper
Ms. Cherice come here. I was not expecting you to do me like that. My heart goes out to Syn, Saint & their mother. Because baby I was not expecting what happened to Samir. I cried and lord knows I wanted to outcome to be better. Dream caught me off guard. I was not expecting her to be a part of it and I definitely need a follow up on these brothers.
Let me start with dream low down ssa syn should’ve done her the same way they did Samir because she was the one who let Joshua know that Samir was gone so she got off easy just sad cause she broke syn but everyone paid in the end karma is real that dam gotti is a ghost frfr
Gotti is s ghost lol. Syncere is rough on the outside, but he's very loving to hos brothers and mother. The ghost of Samad's evilness followed Syncere and Saint because they had no idea Josiah was even in existence. Dream was the one for Syncere or was she?
I did not expect this story to end how it did. Dream was a snake and she got what she deserved. Josiah there wasn’t that much jealousy in the 🌎 for him to do what he did to his own brother over their deadbeat ass daddy. Syn and Saint were such great brothers to Samir and I’m mad them people did that to their family. Mama Faith was a strong woman. Overall great book.
This was a very emotional read. To have such hate in your heart that you could bring harm to your own family was sad. Josiah had some mental and distorted thoughts. Dream was truly a conniving wench and in the end she met with a horrible fate as well as her loved ones! Very good read!
I’m confused as to why the name of the book is Syncere and Dream 🤔 I was expecting to read about their journey to love. The writing is a bit repetitive. The plot twist was wild. I’m mad Samir had to die he was a child and that just didn’t sit well with me. Would’ve never thought that Dream was who she was. Wow!
The plot twist I didn't see coming! This author had my jaw dropping with that ending and how it all turned out. My heart broke for the brothers and their mom; that loss hit me hard, too. But I'm glad they got justice, and I hope Sincere can heal and forgive myself for things he couldn't control.
Whew, who's cutting onions?!? I am so lost for words because I didn't see any of that coming. While reading, in the blink of an eye, my world was turned upside down. This was such a good read, and you definitely won't be disappointed!
This book will have you in your feelings. It's was sad what the family had to go through. You really never know your enemies. Cherice, you really did one with this one. Keep up the great work. On to Book 3 (The House That Gotti Built).
Man I was not expecting that it got me speechless that was a hell of a plot twist like damn why they had to do him like that this series is getting better each book all I can say is read it and Cherice you did that
I bet Dream would have wished she listened to her mother? Josiah was just as dumb. He needed to research the facts about his father? Syn and Saint did get everyone that was involved with Samir. I just wished they could have gotten their sooner
Great read!! Very unexpected turn of events in the end. Full of suspense and action. I hated that Semere was a casualty. If you looking for romance, this I not it BUT it was a very good read.
I am so emotional right now. I can't believe Dream had something to do with Samir's death. Her boyfriend was jealous of his brothers for nothing. I hope Syncere finds some peace soon. Great Read!
I wanted to fight through this book! Even low key sent a mean message to the author! The twists were crazy and I loved the book from beginning to end even though my feelings got hurt!
This book took me through every emotion possible. I cried so much. Samir did not deserve what happened to him at all. They didn’t have to do him like that. And plot twist… dream was a snake all along that was wild as hell. They all got what they deserved.
Cherice had me all in my feelings. This was good. I did not see that ending coming. The House that Gotti Built is definitely worth the read. I can’t wait to read the next storyline.
Amazing story. Just amazing. I enjoyed everything about this book. I felt the heartfelt grief. If was so emotional for me. My heart went out to the lost of there brother and son.
