Nothing beats Halloween in Hallow Falls. As October 1st rolls around, the dropping temperature and falling leaves awaken the magical, little town in anticipation of their favorite holiday.
As Remi, the local B&B-owning vampire, prepares the Dead and Breakfast for yet another amazing Halloween season, she’s also buzzing with excitement as she plans her big love confession to the local animal shelter owner. Jack, the witchy boy who has spent his entire life in the human realm, is excited to spend his first October in Hallow Falls—at his grandmother’s request. He expected the fundraisers, Halloween creatures, and chilly weather. What he didn’t expect, however, was the adorably enticing, five-foot-nothing vampire.
Oh, and he definitely didn’t expect his grandma to be dead set on him settling down in town, which is made evident by the endless list of blind dates she has lined up for him—a surprising turn of events that Remi finds overwhelmingly hilarious.
Unfortunately for her, it’s this exact turn of events—and several hard apple ciders—that lands Remi locked in a fake dating deal with Jack that she can’t escape.

Remi is a vampire living in basically the cutest paranormal Halloweentown EVER. She’s got a thing for Eddy, a werewolf, but when her elderly witch friend / the local bookstore owner’s grandson Jack comes to town, things get heated. The two of them start fake dating and holy cow it gets sooooo hot from there!!! This book is full of adorable autumnal festivities, Halloween fun, and adorable banter. I am officially obsessed. And that ending though!!!!!!

the halloweentown vibes are so fun and the 🌶 is solid but the writing is just all over the place narratively and really cringey at points that it's utterly distracting from what could have been a great romcom premise

For a short story, it is packed with such detail to the setting and SO freaking cute. It reminded me of the movie Halloweentown but for adults.
Hallow Falls is an adorable town where supernaturals go all out for Halloween.
Remi is a vampire and our main character. Shes been in love with a werewolf for a decade so when her dear friends grandson, a witch, comes into town and stays at Remi’s dead and breakfast.. they make a deal to fake date. It’ll get this hot werewolf jealous and to finally ask Remi out AND it’ll keep Jack’s grandma from nagging him over his love life…
Jack and Remi get to know eachother through fake dating and lines blur and feelings catch.
This is such a neat read. I enjoyed the dirty talk from Jack. I enjoyed the spice!

This was such a good pallete cleanser and a really fun Halloween read!
I loved the cozy vibes it gave. As well as all the all the creatures and the festivities that the town has during the month of October. The romance was hitting in all the right ways! I’ll just say that if you love dark mysterious men with shadows and masked characters, then you have got to read this novella!
And that bonus chapter?! JD LINTON OUT HERE SPOILING US🥵

2 Sterne eigentlich nur für die sehr gelungenen Halloween Town vibes.
Ich fand es irgendwie weird, dass Jack neu in der Stadt war und niemand ihn kannte und die Autorin aber die vibes zwischen den MCs insta best friend geschrieben hat. Auch wirkte in den ersten Szenen der MMC eher zurückhaltend, zwar nicht direkt schüchtern aber halt wie eine normale Person und kaum hat sie den Deal eingegangen war er gefühlt dauerhaft horny 😂
Die Halloween/Herbst vibes fand ich so gut! All die „Monster“ und das Dead and Breakfast und das Boo and Books war einfach so gut gemacht. Es gab viele Figuren a la Gilmore Girls mit ihren eigenen Verschrobenheiten, was ich wirklich mochte.
Aber die Chemie zwischen den MCs war einfach nur weird.

This book is the perfect read for October. It’s got a morally grey mmc, all the Halloween events, and the spice… omg!(theres a haunted house scene) I truly loved this book so much, it made me get in the spirit for Halloween and it is a novella too!
Also, a little psa for all the girlies that love a sharing scene, you should definitely read this book, it was so good🪢

GIGGLING AND KICKING MY FEET! I absolutely sailed through that book! So stinkin fun to read and so super spicy lol! JD is a phenomenal writer and transports you to another land and makes you feel at home in every book! I will literally read anything she writes! I loved the spooky vibes of the book, the story line and characters! Might be my favorite book of the year!

I was living for the Halloweentown, spooky season vibes and it was short so I said why not.
However this one left me wanting way more, I get it’s a novella but it just dragged for me and the story was just lacking. I really didn’t buy into Remi and Jack’s love story, especially after that ending… like that was unnecessary and really not great.
The ending made me question whether or not they really were in “love”. Because threesome with another man doesn’t scream “love” to me and was just kind of gross.

This is a Paranormal Romance between a vampire & a witch..
Wow this book was good to start of with because the characters are awesome and i really liked the cozy small town setting with a awesome halloween theme.. It was a bit too steamy and i did not like the bonus chapter because the twist i did not like..
Remi is a vampire and owns the B&B in her small town.. She has a sad past and is scared of the dark because people tried to hurt her and that's why she moved to Hallow falls because everyone was different in the small town which made her fit in and be happy.. She has a big crush on a werewolf called eddie for years now but they both have not done anything about it even when you can see that they both like each other.. One day a new person comes to town to visit his grandmother who is a close friend to Remi and she thinks he is human until one night when she has a bit to drink that they made a deal to fake date and that's when she finds out he is a witch like his grandmother because she sees a deal witch mark on her arm.. After a while she starts feeling things for jack & eddy which makes her fell lost and does not know what or who she wants but she does pick between both guys in the end..
Jack is a Paranormal Writer who is also a witch but does not use magic much.. He has never wanted to go back to the small town of Hallo falls because when he was young something happened that scared him but he never told his grandmother.. He is scared of the dark & the shadows that when to be part of his magic.. When he comes back to the small town because his grandmother has not seen him in years that's when he meets Remi and he likes what he can see in Remi.. One day he finds out that his grandmother is trying to fix him up so he would find someone special and the he finds out by his grandmother's friend that there is a list of women for him to meet for the time he is in the small town so he goes to Remi so he can make a fake dating deal which means he can get his grandmother of his back and also it will help Remi to get the guy she wants.. Things do not go to plan when he finds that he wants her for himself..
