Asher I had the world at my feet. Championship belts, money, women and fame, but after one tragic moment, I walked away, vowing never to step into the ring again. Now I live my life with firm rules, set routines and boundaries. I constructed walls and locked my demons down deep. One person truly knew the real me but now she’s gone and I’m left with only a shadow of the man I used to be. Only there may be a glimmer of light in my darkness- and her name is Sienna. Can I fight for the courage to reclaim my life and find the happiness I deserve.
Sienna My name is Sienna but the world knows me as Si Si Scott-author. That’s how I liked it. The real me could hide away behind the safety of my front door. I lived through the characters of my books, I shared their happiness, love and pain but now I realise I need more than fantasy. I want the real thing for myself. Can the brash and stand-offish Asher ‘The Avalanche’ Anderson be the one to help me come to life? Problem is, we can’t stand each other.
Such an emotional story, which just goes to show that we all have our own demons that can be conquered with the love of a good man and a good woman. Absolutely amazing ❤️
Ally Barnes & Debbie Ann are new-to-me authors and I was really impressed with this story.
We have Sierra, a best selling author, and Asher, a retired boxing champion, who cross paths in the small town of Dolphin Cove. Sierra's auntie and Asher's mother are best friends, and have roped Asher into teaching the book club ladies some self defense when he comes to town to visit, much to his dismay. As a former champion, he retired due to tragedy during his last fight and carries a great amount of guilt within him.
Sierra has become entranced in her fiction work so much that she has trouble leaving her house, and it's made worse because her last book is about to be released where she kills off the character she (and her readers) love the most. When the ending of her book is leaked, she endures huge backlash from fans, including almost being assaulted by a upset fan at her book launch. She heads to Dolphin Cove to stay with her aunt for a while to help her heal, only to be dragged to the self-defense classes as well.
Both characters believe themselves to be broken, but the chemistry is there from the start and they begin to heal one another. The only problem is that they always seem to end up arguing with one another and someone walks away.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story and will be going to look at their other works.

This story had me captivated from the very first chapter, the chemistry between out FMC Sienna and our MMC Asher was so well written I could feel every emotion in my bones.
The ups and downs of the story was truly captured in the writing and it depicted so well that everyone is dealing with demons and some handle it better than others. The story was truly beautiful and it is one I will definitely be recommending!
