About the author

Kendra Moreno is secretly a spy but when she’s not dealing in secrets and espionage, you can find her writing her latest adventure. She’s a geek, a mother, a scuba diver, a tyrannosaurus rex, and a wordsmith who sometimes switches out her pen for a sword.

⭐⭐⭐⭐

I can't say often enough how amazing Kendra is as an author and her books are equally amazing.

She takes fairytale reimagining to a whole new level. Every time I read one of her books, my only wish is that they were longer as I want to stay immersed in the story.

As with her previous series, set in the same world, this is a companion novel to the three books in the Keepers of Enchantment series and get 4 short stories.

Compelling as a Piper - we learn Fenwick's background and how he becomes "Fenwick, the Powerful".

This is followed by the 5 rules of being wolven - we get the rules but also find out why Vilkas becomes a lone wolf after people he considered friends look at him with fear.

The Great Escape follows Jill, a demon hunter. We get to find out everything that happens to her in Under and the lead up to her story that starts with her meeting Robin Hood in Tricky as a Thief, book 3 of this series.

Then we get the Origins of the Crimson Merge and their 11 tenants - we all know there are some strange characters in the Crimson Merge.

And lastly Zaven's little bonus chapter...and his first word...W***d***a**r (not giving the full word).

I can't wait to see where Kendra takes us next.

I do recommend reading the other series set in this world as you do get crossover characters and some continuation from their books.

Questions

I got plenty.....

The one thing this book does is make you feel sorry for the villain, gives you more questions than answers and freaks you out in multiple ways.

Eww brother ewww...

Kendra made these pages fly by and intrigued in the world coming up next. I absolutely am obsessed with this world and even after all these books the stories never let down, and I'm so impressed how with all these characters she keeps on giving them their own personality and when in the same room you can tell them apart.

Great ending for this world and exciting start for the next one. Keep them coming miss Moreno!

Compelling as a Piper by Kendra Moreno is book four in the Keepers of Enchantment Series. I’m such a fan of this author and how all the books are written. I get so excited when I see a new book on the way. I devoured this book in one sitting not once wanting to put my kindle down. This story was great and addicting… I loved how the background of characters were explored which made me begin to really like them even more. There was so much in this book that was great… balance, heartbreak and intrigue. I really enjoyed how this book just flowed. Everything about this story was fabulous from the way it was written to the steady plot. Even the worldbuilding was amazing then add in the descriptions done in this book it was just on another level. I’m always eager to dive into these books and I can’t recommend this author enough.

This book was the perfect companion novel for the Keepers of Enchantment.
I’m so lucky to have been given an arc for this book. All my opinions are my own and unbiased.

I absolutely loved this book. I read it in one go. Kendra is an amazing author and an amazing story teller. She weaves worlds and story lines so perfectly. I am so excited for the next book!!!!!!!


Learning Fenwick’s background and how he was raised made me start loving his character. His relationship with Gisele was so comforting. She pushed him just enough to come into his own.
Viklas’ story was heartbreaking. But also learning the Rules of the wolves was enlightening and makes it all the worse when he ends up a lone wolf.
I love Jill’s attitude and how fiery she is. I cannot wait to see more of her story.
We also meet some really weird people that are obsessed with the merge. I’m excited to see where that story line goes.
Also Zaven’s little chapter was the perfect way to end the book. Ahhhh

Sooo Good!!!

Fenwick & Vilkas's stories were beautifully written & heartbreaking all at the same time! Jill's friendship with Zeph was so sweet! I hope he makes an appearance in other books or even gets his own story. I'm worried for Hatter. I know they're only characters but I'm so attached lol. Kendra writes some very compelling characters that draw you in & make you love (or hate) them. I can't wait to see what Under has in store!

PS this cover is awesome! As are all the rest! The covers for all of these series are stunning & bring the characters to life! If you are like me & got sucked in by the covers, start with Sons of Wonderland & go from there. You won't be disappointed

I thoroughly enjoyed the parts about the piper and I wish that there was more. I had a few very visceral reactions to a couple scenes involving his family. without giving a spoiler I would just like to say not a single person in his family is blameless for what he endured! I want to give him the world’s biggest hug and I was so happy for Giselle. I feel like I was left on the world the biggest cliffhanger. This entire series is something that I could read over and over.

As always, Kendra's books take hold of my and don't let me go until I finish. I loved Fenwick's story and my heart aches for him in so many levels. I hope he gets a happy ending somehow. Vilkas I have loved since we first met him and it was great to know his back story. The crimson merge? I am so confused about it, lol. Jill is an awesome character with so much strength. And Hatter, my heart is bleeding for all he is going thru.

I can't get enough! I read this in 2 days. Yes it's not a long book but I felt for the piper. Right away I was pulled in. I don't know how Kendra does it, but immediately I was invested! I wish there was more of the pipers story. I was frustrated with his first climb! So happy he went back!
I enjoy the split stories of the other worlds. My favorite is the mad hatter! And so happy she touched on them again.
I can't wait for the next book!!! Patiently waiting..... Kinda... Sorta! Need it asap!
