Must Read
There were certain things I didn't like about this book but I'm a realist. I've been reading Urban fiction for over thirty year's and just because something is predictable to me and I don't like how a character was portrayed. Don't mean it will take away from me giving an Author their props. This was a very great read and the storyline was on point although it was predictable for me when it came to Louis, Yatta, and Porsha. Porsha ain't never been nobody friend. I'm surprised Yatta didn't catch on to Louis and Porsha sooner.I was thoroughly disgusted with Louis. Fool almost killed Phoenix and didn't have an ounce of emotion. Louis knew he was wrong for screwing Yatta behind Phoenix back, cheating and putting his hand's on Ann, not being there for Ann as she battle lung cancer, stealing from Phoenix, and a lot of other s**t. Louis raised Phoenix with a solid foundation, substance and taught him that family was everything. Louis raised his only child. His son Phoenix to have morals, respect, and loyalty but somehow all them values Louis instilled in Phoenix. Went out the window when it came to himself. Louis turned out to be a scandalous, conniving, disrespectful, snake ass bastard. He ended up being the very man he despises an taught Phoenix not to be. I knew before Ann last days. Louis was going to eat every last disrespectful word he said to her and how he treated her for year's. I felt sorry for Ann she loved Louis more than she loved herself. I didn't like how her Character ended up. However no matter what. Ann made sure her son Phoenix knew how much she loved him. Kior is so nurturing even after everything she went through and was constantly going through. Grieving the loss of Zack, still trying to make sure Zola was on the right track, praying that Phoenix comes out of his coma, learning Shay trifling ass wasn't her mother, and being there for Ann was a lot for her. I love the bond that Kior and Ann built. Ann gave Kior the motherly love she didn't have. Ann death was heartbreaking. Louis scandalous ass thought he was going to benefit off her death. Learning she didn't leave him nothing sent him on a warpath. As painful as it was Zola was turning into her mother Shay and there was nothing Kior could do but sit back with her heart broken. I said it in book one and I will say it again. Qui is a best friend that is rare. She had Kior back and loved her like they shared the same blood. I love Qui character. She's funny and very blunt. Good Lord have mercy!!! The snakes, the snakes, the snakes! Louis really was a dirty piece of work whom I was pleased to see Karma step in and step up on Anne, Phoenix and even Kior's behalf. He really thought he was the man sleeping round with all these young girls! Porsha dumb tail saw first hand how he did Yatta and she still slept with him behind her back. Well look where that got her! I mean Shay wouldn't change for nothing! Even after losing Zack, she still never saw fit to at least step up for Zola! Now Zola shocked the hell out of me because she had so much going for herself to allow Shay to turn her into a heaux! Then, the way she turned up on Kior, the only person who ever had her back! That shit wasn't call for! I'm just glad Qui was there to help her balance and see another perspective of things! I loveeee how Ace finally found his person in Qui! They both crazy as hell, but well deserving of happiness and genuine love! As for Phoenix and Kior, they have a guardian angel in Anne who will forever see them straight! I literally breathed a sigh of relief when his memory came back because I was like Lord there's no way as emotional as Kior was due to being pregnant could handle him in that state! Louis was way too cocky and full of himself and like the saying goes, who wants all gets NONE! He really had the mind to think Anne owed him something after the way he handled her in her sickness! I pray Phoenix stays his same self being his own man! With Kior, Ace and Qui by his side, all that ends well is well! Great series!

Truly enjoyed this series. I wish it could have been more to it. I. Laughed, I cried. I was upset. It's just all around emotional, but in a good way, it kept me wanting to keep reading even ended up reading at work. Then go behind his sons back and not only sleep with his gf but get her preggo too. Anne was a good woman waay too good. So glad Ricky and Shay both got everything that was coming to them all bcuz of jealousy.. Qui was a true friend and sister. She kept me lol and was down for her sister/bestbestfriend.

That is the way to end a series. Dedra you did that no question asked. I was glad the Phoenix got his memory back quick cause I could she Yatta trying to get him back but I was sad that it had to come back with the cost of him losing his mother. Anne was strong and Kior was just like her. Louis was a greedy and jealous person and I'm glad he got what he deserved. Shay was sick and I'm glad Dot got her back. I Glad Bo and Dot got their family back because Kior needed them just as much as she needed Phoenix and Qui. Qui is the true definition of a friend. I love how they had each other back. Ace and Qui was very toxic because I love them. Phoenix and Kior got the happy ending and they both deserved it. I'm glad Zola got herself together too. It was a great read and a good series

Things came full circle. Louis and Shay had to be the worst people ever created and that girl karma got them both. Honey, I was scared for a second when Phoenix woke up but it was all good lol. Yatta tried it but she had to know it wasn’t going down like that. Ugh, my heart broke for Ms. Anne but her spirit touched my heart and glad she had things planned out the way she did. Kior had took so many losses but she had so many great people in her corner, with Qui being one of the biggest blessings. Their friendship was so amazing and I loved that for them. Everything worked out as it should and love, happiness and peace was well earned. Sis great job 💜💜

Upgraded in the best way possible
There are some down right miserable, rotten, dirty, and soul-less people in this world and Louis and Shay are perfect examples of them. Tears and emotions are wasted on them. Kior went through so much in her life and it felt like a new dawn would never rise in her life. But her character, loyalty, and heart upgraded her life in the best way possible. Phoenix learns how much family can betray you and hurt you. But just like his name he rise from the ashes and boss up. Ace and Qui are the kind of friends everyone need in their lives. This story sums up how life can eff you up and set you up. This is a good finale of survival.

A Praying Mother
Momma Anne was a force to recon with. Louis though that he had the best of both worlds but Anne had the victory. I was sad when she died and Zack got killed for nothing. Momma Anne was the backbone in the family. She made sure Louis had nothing but left Phoenix a millionaire. Shay was the devil's spawn but she got what she deserved in the end. Shay did terrible things that broke up Dot and Bo but true love never dies and they ended up together. Zola and Yatta turned their life's around. Qui and Ace were true friends to Kior and Phoenix and they found their happy everlasting. This was a very , very good series.

I just wanna stand up and start clapping. This was an outstanding book. I think Qui is my favorite character although I loved Kior, Phoenix and Ace she was really a ride or die friend that stood ten toes down for Kior. I am so happy with the outcome of Louis and Shay. They deserved to be put-down in the worst way. I loved Mrs. Anne to and my heart really broke for her. The cancer didn't even get the chance to take her out. I'm glad that everyone that deserved it was able to live happily. 💗💗

I like phon and ki but they friends definitely giving it up how they living. But I’m so happy everyone found the person. I definitely wanna hear back from the kids at least. Great read. This series was everything from the beginning to the end. I loved Phoenix and Koir together such a great couple. I also loved Ace and Qui. I’m so glad that Bo and Dot back together. I wasn’t disappointed in what Dot did to Shay because she deserved it. I’m glad that Louis got dealt with also. I can’t wait to see what you have coming next.

emotional roller coaster
When I say everyone got what they deserved. I was mad Anne and Zack had to die but all in all I loved it literally was half way done with in 45 minutes had to force my self to put it down til I got home. Dedra you did it again sent me on a straight emotional roller coaster

Absolutely enjoyed this book. Non stop reading lots of drama,funny parts and some steamy parts🌶️🌶️. It was a good book overall . Phoenix turned ruthless was a turn on not to mention his home boy Ace who wasn’t with the bs either lol. Loved how qui was a rider with the bestie.

I loved Phoenix. He was a good person. Anne was the sweetest mother along with Ms. Nova. Phoenix and Kior were good together. Shay and Louis were horrible individuals. I’m glad Ace and Qui got it together. Bo and Dot found a second chance at love. I hate Zack wasn’t able to live life to the fullest and Zola needed an old fashioned whooping!

First Love
Phoenix turned out to be Kior’s first love. I’m so glad Louis got his karma and so did Porsche and Shay. Talk about some snakes. Louis went out real bad. Yatta turned over a new leaf and finally grew up. I’m glad Zola found out that it’s okay to want more for yourself and not be a product of your environment even after trauma. Good book overall.

Hateful…
Between Louis and Shay, I don’t know which one was the most hateful. Wow, they were the worse. Why did Kior worked my last nerve with all of that woest me stuff? Qui was my favorite. As far as Phoenix , something about his love for Kior didn’t feel genuine. It didn’t translate well across the story.

Overcame the odds
This book was so touching in so many ways. It showed strength, determination, sadness, sacrifice, manipulation, deception and love. Shae was a terrible person to her own people but how she treated Kera was beneath all. I loved this story, it’s a must read because it touched so much

I'm so glad that Karma did her big one. What goes around comes right back around. God did not play about her. Qui is the friend that everyone need. His father mistress got off too easy. All that trouble she caused and nothing happened to her. Well at least that so called friend got what she had coming. I loved me some Ace. Now that is what you call a real friend.

That was a great read. I read both books in a day and a half. Everybody needs a Qui lol. Everybody got what they deserved. I feel bad for Zack tho. Keep up the great work and I can’t wait to explore more.
