This was a very touching account of the events of the Bluffton University baseball team bus crash that occurred in Atlanta, Georgia in 2007. The author was a survivor of this crash. He tells his story, as best as he can remember, since some of his memories were wiped out due to head trauma. It was a long journey of rehabilitation from an aspiring athlete with big dreams for his future, all drastically changed in just a few moments. This story is especially close to me, as I know Tim personally as a fellow coach and teacher whom I see and get to talk to frequently.

A very inspirational book. I will try and not be biased as I was a teammate(baseball )of Tim's and a graduate of Bluffton University in 2006. This book brought back a lot of emotions from the bus accident, I was not on it, but remember the day vividly. Tim overcame obstacles that only God could help win. God is good. My favorite reminder in this book is with God we can do all things. Science does not define us or tell us what we can accomplish. Trusting in Jesus as our Savior, is the only way we experience pure joy and healing. Thank you Tim and God bless.

I met Tim during his “ninth inning” and am grateful to have had a chance to learn more about his recovery after the accident that changed his life.
Tim is honest about his anger at having so much taken away from him and his struggles to relearn to walk, talk, and drive again. He also shares how his faith and his respect for his fallen teammates helped him to find purpose.
