We swore there would be no feelings involved. It looks like the four of us were lying.
Three billionaire Alphas looking for a fake girlfriend--how hard can it be? It's just a few months of playing pretend and having fun with no strings attached. But now, pack Axton is all I think about. Their delicious scents are a balm to my soul, and I swear there are hearts in their eyes every time they look at me. Until one of them ruins it all and reminds me of what I truly am. A broken, unwanted, and unloveable Omega. I'll never be enough for them, and by the time they realize their mistake, I've locked my true feelings for them away. They can have everything they want from me...except for my heart.
The spicy, angsty conclusion to Knot a Good Idea. Featuring a unique grovel and a delicious HEA!
Liliana Carlisle is a romance author that loves angst, drama, and passion. The spicier the better!
She resides in Northern California with her husband, stepchildren, and emotional cats. She started her writing "career" in seventh grade, writing Backstreet Boys fanfiction in her notebooks. When she's not writing she can be found studying classical voice, playing Fortnite, or gulping cold brew.
he asks for forgiveness by sending her a receipt that he went to THERAPY? LMAO (no lie, that’s kinda creative. i’ve never read that before lol)
donovan was genuinely so infuriating to read in this book, more than his behavior in book 1. he was so cold to her and it felt like she was talking to a wall every time she would try to reconcile. but him sending his receipt for going to therapy in an attempt to make amends was so fucking funny.
i feel like he didn't do anything particularly special that would warrant the fmc to like and care for him in the way that she did. which makes reading her scenes trying to talk to donovan so empty. i really didn't get any emotions out of it. and when we find out his reasoning for pushing her away, sorry i thought it was so stupid LOL. it was a REACH
also hunter and liam were already swept away and in love with april in book 1. so the progression and build up in book 2 was ???? just nonexistent to me ???
I was worried for a bit how one of the MMC would redeem himself. I loved this book. A good way to conclude Aprils story! I love this series a bunch and one final book left until I’m done! Of course Liam is still my most favorite Alpha from the pack! I think him and April are very similar and broke my heart when he was sad I’m glad everyone is getting their happy ending
I didn't realize when I started this that it was the second book in a duet in this series (the first was a standalone so I assumed the others were too). Thankfully it was very self explanatory and I didn't have any questions about what was going on. I'm actually glad I started with this one because honestly from what I went back and read in spoilers for the first book, it didn't need to be two books. 😬
I chose this book because the blurb says there's "a TON of grovel". There isn't.
‼️SPOILERS‼️
Not only is she already willing to forgive them almost immediately the first time the one alpha messes up, but the second time he messes up, they all just mope and leave her alone for weeks. The one alpha goes to therapy and sends her doorknobs to show that he'll never lock her in a room again (WHY did he do that to begin with????). Then she surprises them at an event and is immediately ready to get back together with them upon seeing them. Is the grovel in the room with us?
Other than that, the story was your basic OMV. Nothing new or special here.
This book was SO GOOD up until the part where Donovan literally locked April in her room!!! Like what the heck??!!! Like he literally knew that was one of her triggers but did it anyway. I was honestly really liking this book and absolutely LOVED her dynamic with Hunter and Liam, but Donovan got on my nerves literally the entire book. I honestly don’t think I can forgive him after everything he not only said about April, but did to her. Like come on. She’s his mate, yet he treats her like crap??? Idk it was just so annoying going back and forth every five seconds. Other than that this book was really great and I had a good time reading it! Also is anyone else literally DYING to play the cat board game that the pack was playing??! I’m so excited to have received this book as an ARC and can’t wait to read Devyn’s book!
This was awful. Both books in were not good. You have an FMC that goes on ad nauseum about how damaged and broken she is ("I came back wrong"), but this is only repeated in her head as her actions are not those of a traumatized person. I get that not everyone handles trauma the same. But I'm not sure the author has ever experienced trauma or loss, she writes it so poorly. You have a golden retriever MMC who is supposed to be a Dark Prince Charming (in children's book, maybe...) and another that's a Gentle Giant teddy bear.
And then there is Dickwad McGee, a-hole extraordinaire. In neither book does he do anything that earns her or that shows her how special she is to him. Can we PLEASE stop writing MMCs (or FMCs for that matter) that take the entire length of the book/series to come around? It's so exhausting. I want to read the love story, the trials and the victories as they navigate life and their relationship. I want to watch the love grow between them. I do NOT want to get to the 75% and one or both MCs are not onboard. This dude had TWO whole books to get his sh*t together. He does the worst thing he can do given her "trauma" and she gives him a pass after a week of silence. All of them, really, since the other dudebros went silent at well. Give me a freaking break.
Then there's the FMC's utter refusal to take the men who are showing up for her if she can't have all three. Like, girl. Be so for real right now. She'd rather stay with an emotional and mental abuser than take the two who adore her and treat her as she should be to "not break up the pack". GTFOH.
Don't get me started on the trainwreck that is Devyn. Whiny, immature, not a good friend. I will be stepping off this ride here.

I received an ARC copy of this book and breezed through it. Liliana has done it again. This series is definitely a unique take on the Omegaverse universe. The storyline is very interesting and grips you from the start with the kidnapping of omegas and then the aftermath of being rescued. Poor April has had a rough go over the last 3 books and finally she seemed to be getting the pack of her dreams. The only thing stopping her from her happily ever after is her reluctant alpha Donovan. Liam is the sweetest, Hunter seems like a blast, and Donovan.. well he’s definitely something. He’s the alpha that’s most obsessed with April, but he does everything he can to keep his distance and push her away. I was mad at him for most of the book. He finally comes around and gets it together after screwing up so astronomically that he realizes he could lose her forever. He makes it right, for her and his pack mates. I’m glad April gave them another shot. She deserved happiness.
I’m holding out for Devon’s story. She and Ben deserve their own pack. I would also love a cameo of the pack from the first book.
April signed a contract with Pack Axton to be their Omega. A limited alliance, and then it would be over. She was too damaged for a relationship, and this would allow her cafe to remain open, so it was a win-win. But along the way, she caught feelings. So did Liam and Hunter. However, Donovan made it very clear the contract would be enforced and nothing more. She is not meant for them.
Goodness. One character can ruin a book. Donovan is that character for me. I love a flawed character. I do not like a weak one. His cowardness turned me off. He was so scared of losing someone he wouldn't allow anyone in. Then, when he crossed the line and ran her off, the rest of the Pack let her go. Where was their love for her then? Where was the fight? And where was the groveling later? It's quickly becoming a pet peeve with me when the Alphas wrong the Omega, and she forgives them due to her heat hormones. This doesn't work for me. I need remorse and an atonement arc! The most endearing thing about this Pack was the cat board game they loved. I found it amusing.
In the second part of April's story, there is plenty of angst, and a good example of people getting in their own way.
Liam and Hunter are already in love with April, but Donovan has his doubts because he doesn't think he can take care of April. He is traumatized by losing his mom to cancer, and all his money couldn't do anything. Donovan insulates himself behind a stoic facade and over working until April makes him face his issues.
She should have made him grovel more, he was pretty cold and let that other alpha call her a Little Miss Nobody. Then when he gets April to talk to him again, she brings up his mother which he doesn't want to face so he walks away and locks her in a room so she doesn't follow. Locking April in a room is her trigger. Now, Donovan atones for this by sending her all the doorknobs and locks in the house and his paid in full therapy bill for the next two years... hilarious.
A good story I read in one day. I can't wait to read Devyn's story.
Loved seeing April get everything she deserved, and a pack that adores her after all the bullshit mind games she went through with Donovan. Hunter is like a hyped up puppy on Red Bull. He totally became my favourite in this book. Liam is the calming one and such sweetheart. Donovan? Well, I normally fall for the broody alpha, but it may take a few more books to get me to that point, and that isn't going to happen. There was really only one thing for me personally that frustrated me throughout the book, and that was April's ability to consistently give into Donovan so easily. I understand she's an omega, but I would have like to see her with a little more backbone. Make him grovel more woman! He deserves deep grazes on his knees! Overall, I really enjoyed April's story. A good balance of plot and spice. 💕
April is trying to be “normal” after being kidnapped and her blood used for a potent drug. She was looked in a dark room. She’s tired of everyone asking if she is alright. One day a broody customer comes in for coffee. He doesn’t know who she is. And she doesn’t know who he is. He asks April out to dinner. After getting everyone’s opinion, she accepts Donavon’s date. The date turns into a business dinner instead of a date. They need a fake omega for their ex’s wedding and several social events. Donavon asks her to meet his pack. When his pack, Liam and Hunter, meet her all bets are off. This is a great series. I went back and reread the previous books and let the story flow. I still loved them. I am looking forward to Devyn’s story.
My first OV read of the year……and it was amazing! This was my first book by the author and it won’t be my last. This OV had all my favorite elements-from the instantly obsessed alphas and the reluctant one, to an omega who thinks she doesn’t deserve a pack, and of course all the angst and spice you could ever need. There’s always the alpha who stupidly denies his feelings and you can’t help but be annoyed with him, but the groveling in this book was one of the best I’ve read. April, Hunter, Liam and Donovan’s story was an emotional journey filled with heartache but ultimately bound by love and I highly recommend it.
Absolutely & thoroughly enjoyed & consumed this conclusion to April's story. I found the writing completely enthralling: the immersive writing that effortlessly drew me into the intriguing plot that kept me absorbed thorough the entire story as well as the complex & multi-layered fascinating characters I CARED about. The pace was smooth & made sense with no jarring elements to pull me out of the story. The writing itself was I found to be evocative, easily conjuring mental images of the peoples, the scenes, the emotions, & kept me deep within the the plot. A wonderful tale I consumed & I cannot wait for this author's next book.
Knot a Bad Idea is the second part to April’s story and book 5 in the Bittersweet Omegas series. I would definitely recommend starting this series from the beginning. Book 1 Knot Inn Love can be read as a standalone but Knot a Trace part one and part two should absolutely be read before starting April’s story in Knot a Good Idea and then move on to Knot a Bad Idea since these four books follow the same plot, characters, events and locations.
This is a great conclusion to April’s story with her tormented Alphas. I love the involvement of all the characters we have met so far in the series and I am really hoping one of the other quirky Omegas from the bakery gets her own story. Dylan seems to be screaming too loudly to not be heard!
I was really excited to get the next book in this duet. I read this book pretty fast and loved every minute of it. The characters and plot had my attention through the whole thing.
I was so excited for April to get her happy ending! I had been waiting for it. I really love April she is one of my favorites! And each MMC is so unique and they fit together so well as a pack even with things they’ve each gone through.
Overall, I absolutely loved this book! I highly recommend if you love omegaverse! It was such a bittersweet read because it ended but I also loved it so much
I did enjoy this book, it didn’t go quite the way I was hoping it would, but the grovel gift was as heartfelt as it was amusing. I really felt like we took a long time to get to where we knew it would end up, and I’m sad we didn’t get more time with them all as a cohesive pack.
I really did enjoy the characters, and think this book could’ve done with another 50-100 pages, just to let everything settle into the HEA. I’m also sad we didn’t get the group scene I was hoping for.
The c-word is everywhere. The men are described as handsome in every chapter, no matter what they do. Liam and Hunter were fine, but Donovan was horrible. The grovel wasn't right. Sending receipts for therapy, which he didn't even start and sending the door locks? He is a walking red flag not a mate candidate. Additionally it was never revealed why Molly helped April? Her relationship with the pack was non existent, they werent mad at each other, she wasnt petty, it was never explained, just used a convenient plot point.

Let me just say, Liam is my baby. I love him. Hunter is hilarious. I laughed out loud at some of the stuff he said. Donovan…. I loathe him!!! But…. I guess I understand him. Man this was a rollercoaster ride of a part 2! So much happened, but it needed to. I really enjoyed it! I’m trying not to give spoilers away lol. But it does end with a HEA of course! And I’m excited to see where Devyn ends up!
April's Conclusion I'm so glad April and Pack Axton get their HEA! It was well deserved, of course the journey to get there wasn't perfect. This book was filled with emotional moments, drama, bits of humor, and spice.
I adored Liam and Hunter from the beginning. Donovan took longer. However, I'm very happy with his progress. He grows so much and finally realizes he deserves his omega. I continued to love April. She grows in confidence and strength. Overall, a great conclusion!
I think it’s safe to say I will love anything Liliana writes and this was no different. Liam and Hunter stole the show for me this time around. I loved how in love they were with April and wanted to give her the world. Both of them standing up to Donovan about his behavior was definitely a highlight as well. Donovan was a little difficult but his character development was great. The way he apologized to April was unique but very fitting for both of them, I kinda wish he would have groveled a little more but I was glad all of them were back to together and happy. Also the little sneak peaks into a possible new story staring Devyn…🫣🫣 I’m ready for it.
April’s story was such a heartbreaker but the ending left me feeling so much joy. We all have our demons in life and when you find people to share them with it makes it so much better. This story had all the feels and it just reminded me of why I love this author so much!
Knot a bad Idea by Liliana Carlisle this is the Continuum of April story from book 4 and I was here for it every chapter gripped me I was I was rooting for April and the in her pack and I love the adventure I love the spiciness of the romance I love the secrets being a reveal and it was a great Omega book. Liliana did a great job with book 5 I highly recommend
The actual storyline was great, and I would've given it 3 stars, but the guys never even grovelled. They apologised and she forgave them. I'm sorry and all that, but if someone hurts you that badly and they trigger you, you don't just roll over and accept it. Where is the grovelling, the begging, the pleading? I'm highly disappointed in the conclusion.
I was so excited to receive an ARC of this book! It was so good!! I loved watching characters as they work through their trauma. It felt so real! And it made my heart so full as they finally started to work through their problems! Thank you so much!
I loved the conclusion to April’s story. They still have so much emotional baggage to wade through, but they eventually make it. Plenty of groveling by Donovan. Unconditional love from Liam and Hunter. Lots of yummy spice to go with their happily ever after.
April has endured so much over the course of these four books and watching her live and grow within her trauma was aching and beautiful. We all are impacted by own scars and the rippling effect that can permeate because of them. There is such visceral pain as we watch this pack confront these demons. Yet, it made for the most breathtaking acceptance that Pack Axton found in each other.
As always, please check trigger earnings but I can’t urge you enough to read this heartwarming new chapter in April’s rebirth when it releases on January 18th.
The conclusion to April's love story. Alpha and Omega dynamics, MFMMM, AOAAA, no MM action. April's gets her heart broken by pack lead Donavan and he realizes his mistakes too late. Spicy scenes are medium to hot scale. Groveling is high with a HEA. Looking forward to reading Devyn's story.
4 1/2 stars Good drama with likable characters and a bunch of turmoil that added more drama, tension and intensity to their story. I loved their chemistry which was believable.
