About the author

TJ Logan is an award-winning author of romantic suspense anchored by strong themes of family, honor, and loyalty. Her writing journey began in 2012, when a bunch of strange voices popped into her head.

Hoping to exorcise the craziness, she started typing, which simply ushered in more—as if she’d cracked open some sort of portal for fictional characters to charge through. And boy did they ever!

She grew up in a military family, lived all over the country, and was surrounded by five brothers … and, shockingly, lived to tell about it. She was also a key member of a team that managed a secret program for one of the world’s top defense companies. All of these things have given TJ an interesting perspective on life. And every bit of it goes into her writing!

This is a fast paced thrill ride!! Jeffery and Maya's love for each other has lasted through twelve long years. Maya has also kept a secret from Jeffery and when circumstances bring Maya running back to him for his help the two rediscover those feelings. I absolutely loved this read from start to finish!

I LOVED this story! It started out with intense action and strong emotion and never let up. A real-page turner that could easily be a movie - in fact, I "saw" every scene in vivid color. I've really enjoyed every book I've ready by TJ Logan, but this Dangerous Protocol is my new favorite. Highly recommended if you enjoy intelligent, capable characters with great depth; detailed, fast-moving plots; and strong, believable emotion in a contemporary book with timely issues.

This book checks all my boxes of what I look for in a great read.

It focuses on characters (Maya and Jeffery) from previous books, and we needed their story.

It is a second chance romance, with the addition of a secret child. I also appreciated that the author acknowledged what happened and the pain cause and they were able to move on. We did not spend a good portion of the story having angst over the past.

It is an action-packed thrill ride from the beginning full of national secrets, spies and intrigue. I could not put it down. I sacrificed sleep to finish it!

Maya and Jeffery were such wonderfully written characters, they gave me all the feels and made my heart smile.

This has to be my favorite book of this series and of the O'Halleran Security Series where it all started.

Reading Jeffrey Burke’s Story is like a fine desert. You can’t wait to dig into it. Love every minute of it and once you’re finished, you want it all over again!
Coming across Burke in previous books, he was this secretive enigma you wanted to unravel and its final happening. An amazing Story with betrayal, hurt, loss and love.

I found myself pulled into the story. The emotional roller-coaster breaks your heart. I really loved how the author acknowledged the pain but had her characters move past it into doing what's needed instead. Maya & Jeffrey were wonderful to get to know. Second chance, secret baby and intriguing romance
I love it when the author gets us right into the action immediately; this is how Ms. Logan enthralls her readers! In the Prologue we see a couple: Jeffrey Burke and Maya Corbett who both live dangerous lives. Jeffrey is a Marine sniper and Maya works for MI6 as an operative.
Twelve years later she needs help and after trying on her own, she knows there is only one person who can do more than she has, but she really doesn’t want to need him for a variety of reasons. Jeffrey is now Director of the NSA and as such is privy to lots of secrets and avenues to find nefarious actors. Maya asks Jeffrey for help to find her almost 12yo daughter. Hmmm…Whoa! After she gets Jeffrey involved, things move quickly. I was attached to my book until I got to the end by this point. I guarantee you will too if you like second chances, secret baby romances with lots of intrigue. This book snagged me immediately and never let go. I’m just sorry it came to an end! What a well written and developed characters book. Jeffery and Maya had chemistry. They worked for agencies that were similar but different and on two different continents. Maya was MI6 while Jeffrey was NSA. They dated when they were together and then one day there was no more Maya. For 12 years Maya was gone until one day she sat in the coffee shop across the street until Jeffery came out of his office. What happens next will blow your mind. This has intrigue, death, stealth and love all wrapped up together.

If you are a reader of TJ Logan's books then you have already met Jeffrey Burke and we have always known that he had depths that were unplugged now we get his story Twelve years earlier he was betrayed by the woman that he loved now Maya Corbet is back and she hopes that he will forgive her enough to help her find her daughter. This is a fast paced read that has a lot of emotion and suspense A perfect read that i thoroughly enjoyed

I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Dangerous Protocol . I really enjoyed reading this suspense romance . It was action packed and intense from start to finish . Jeffrey Burke head of national security had an affair with MI6 Maya Corbett then she up and vanished . Maya found herself burned and pregnant staying on the run for twelve years to protect her daughter . When her daughter disappears and the worse is feared Maya seeks Jeffrey's help . Never expecting to see Maya again Jeffrey is shocked to find himself a father . Jeffrey with the help of OSI dark Ops set out to rescue his daughter and reunite his family . This is a fantastic read . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

This is my first TJ Logan book, I have heard about her for years and FINALLY gave one a go.

My favorite piece of this book was the suspense was there from beginning to end. The pace was great and even though this book is around 200 pages you had a well developed story and character.

If you have read other books by TJ you will recognize many of the characters that pop in.

Highly recommend.

Dangerous Protocol pulled me in right from the start with a sweet romance gone wrong second chance oops sorry I forgot to mention troupe there was danger action suspense and a nice heat level the cast of characters are well rounded and likeable.
I'm looking forward to the next release already.

A very good read

Working in secret sometimes making very hard decisions. Mays made the decision and had been running. Heeding the only man she ever lived help brings her full circle with a surprise. Read a well written journey that show that you need to trust your heart instead of running. That happiness may be late and it may come with a surprise. Can't wait to read the next one

I love the story, and can't wait for the next book. Maya's daughter is kidnapped and she is desperate to find her. She is a former M16 agent and she and her daughter have been on the run for years. She asks the only man she can trust, her daughter's father, for help. Jeffrey Burke is a former Marine Re-Con Sniper and is now the head of the National Security Agency. He is angry when he finds out that he is a father and how much time he has missed with his daughter and her mother. Will they find their daughter in time? A lot of action and suspense. Jeffrey Burke might be a powerful man now, but he had his “fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me” moments years ago and closed himself off from others so it couldn’t happen again.
When Maya Corbett steps back into his life he has no option than to let her in especially after her shocking revelation. And though Jeffery might have thought he was closed off, as his friends and colleagues rally round to assist in the most important mission of his life, he soon realises he has family, and the love of the woman he never forgot.
Loved this read, there is loads going on right from the start.

This is a beautiful romance with angst, it is part of a series and many wonderful characters from previous books put in an appearance but it can totally be read as a standalone.

When Jeffrey Burke, head of the National security Agency was contacted by ex MI6 agent, Maya Corbett, he was intrigued but determined not to be pulled in by her again.

Twelve years ago, Jeffrey thought that he and Mayer had something special but when he woke up one morning, head heavy from drugs and all signs of Maya removed he was heartbroken. Maya had a good reason for disappearing, her life, and by association, Jeffrey's life was in danger, the powerful ruler of Qadira wanted her dead.

When Maya found that she was pregnant she knew that she would do anything to protect her child including never staying in one place for long, never making friends.

When Isla disappeared a distraught Maya knew that she had been kidnapped and she knew by whom, she also knew that the only person that could find Maya was Jeffrey Burke, Isla's father, the father who didn't know that she existed, Maya was ready to eat humble pie and hope that Jeffrey would forgive her.

This story follows the reuniting of Maya and Jeffrey, the magnetic attraction that had never dulled, the trust issues, the closeness and loyalty of his team, the introduction to the daughter who was a stranger, the battle to keep her safe.

I really enjoyed this second book in the OSI Dark Ops series. Maya and her daughter, Isla, have spent Isla’s entire life on the run, constantly changing locations to stay one step ahead of a man determined to kill Maya. Now twelve years old, Isla is unaware of the danger surrounding her—until an online “friend” leads her straight into the hands of Maya’s would-be killer.

Desperate, Maya turns to Isla’s father for help. Readers will recognize him from earlier books as one of the “dangerous good guys,” and his role here adds both tension and emotional depth. Alongside the OSI team, he works to rescue Isla, leading to a gripping, action-packed storyline.

Beyond the suspense, this book delivers a strong message about love, forgiveness, and second chances. A satisfying and fast-paced read that kept me engaged throughout.

This was a highly engaging book that spanned the full range of emotions for this reader. From the very outset, I was captivated by the characters. Drive, determination, dedication... they blended together to face the advisary. Maya, the main character, showed the most growth throughout the book, though the challenges placed before Jeffery and Isla resulted in their growth as well.

I simply can't say enough positive raves about this, my first foray into Logan's writing. I'm a definate fan now and will be seeking out more soon (as in continuing this very series). If you enjoy fast paced action, suspense, mystery, and of course romance, don't miss out on Dangerous Protocol.

Jeffrey Burke and Maya. Burks has been part of every story in this world so far, either in his role with NSA, as a mentor, friend, father figure and god father. Now we get his journey to an HEA which involves events from 12 years ago, a missing love interest and an unexpected but joyfully life changing surprise. Burke is fascinating and his story shows his strength, intelligence and character. Maya is intriguing and pulls the heart as she has had a rough twelve years due to a situation beyond her control. Andi, Wolf, Mason and more were all instrumental to this story and I loved seeing Andi protect and then embrace this new relationship. A great blend of action, romance, intrigue and family. Highly recommend.

A wonderfully entertaining world that has some dark moments alluded too with strong characters. Jeffrey is the head of NSA Maya was MI6. 12 years have gone by and when Maya comes back she brings a fast paced story that Jeffrey runs with. If you want to be entertained, grab your favorite drink, put your feet up and see what's going on in OSI Dark Ops. This book can be read as a stand alone. I think I am in love with Jeffrey. Sigh. This was amazing and a first by this Author for me. Omg not my last by any means. So good.

Former native sniper Jeffery meets up with former MI6 operative Maya after she disappears 12 years earlier, needing help from him now.

Talk about explosive and volatile. The history these two have is hard to get over and the lack of trust between them initially takes time to resolve. But the attraction and chemistry is still there to build on.

Such a great plot with twists and turns along the way. The characters and team were so good and the complex history that Jeffery and Maya need to sort through worked well.

Can't wait for more from this author!!

This is the second book in the OSI Dark Ops series and I have loved both and am looking forward to reading the next one!
