I received this item through the Amazon Vine program in exchange for an honest review.

This is a pretty standard recipe book. Not sure why the recipes have to be gendered and be "geared" toward men but overall they're pretty straight forward recipes. I like when cook books have pictures and there's not a lot of pictures of food in this book which is a bummer. The recipes are sorted by breakfast, mains, etc. and tell you if they're good for groups or snacks or what.

Overall it's a pretty standard recipe book that would suit beginning cooks.

Although it was somewhat repetitive (75 recipes with variations would have been just fine), the book was pretty much what I was hoping for it--It has a bunch of different suggestions of things I can make without making a huge mess in the kitchen.

I love all of the skillet recipes.

Simple ingredients. Simple cooking instructions. Makes me want to fire up the skillet. Going to try the gumbo first with some cornbread from scratch.
