She creates stories to take readers on a journey of broken men finding and accepting love. She believes everyone deserves their happy ending especially people who have been hurt or denied love in the past. Love is the best human experience.
Heather read her first romance that she snuck off her mother’s bookshelf as a pre-teen. Her favorite books break her heart and then put it back together. She wants to do the same, so her goal is to write books that unbreak your heart.
Very spicy!! Definitely hott!!! I don't really read anything anymore that isn't MM, but I signed up for an ARC of this because I really loved the other two. I'm glad I did, this was an MMF and I loved these 3 are really sweet and Jayce and Emmet are so protective of Madyson. Seriously though, communication guys lol! I'm glad it all worked out for these 3 and that they found their HEA! And F Peter, what a monster!
In book three in the Unframed art series we get a M/M/F Emmet, Jayce and Madyson and oh boy do they start a very intense relationship. All three people have a deep and intense past present one very uncertain future and at surface level don’t make any sense as in a relationship. But the author takes you on an intense story of what true love is. Authors Blurb: Emmet and Four tortuous years since I laid eyes on Miss Rose. I’ve changed. I’m a man now. I’m not the needy teen craving her attention. She abandoned me when my miserable life imploded. When I needed her most. The authors writing is flawless and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shockingly intimate I have become a huge fan of this author. The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in multiple POV this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know you’re 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.
🎉 Happy Release Day "Emmet is ours. Ours to f**k. Ours to keep. Ours to help him make his dreams come true."🔥
If that quote didn’t already have you hooked, buckle up because this MMF romance is a wild, emotional rollercoaster that will leave you begging for more!
This trio—Emmet, Jayce, and Madyson—gives us all the drama and spice.
Emmet is the tortured soul coming back into their lives, Jayce is the overprotective grump, and Madyson is the glue trying to make them whole.
And let me tell you, when Emmet calls Jayce “J-Bear,” you just KNOW you're in for some heart-melting, tension-filled moments! 🐻💖 That nickname is cute and loaded with so much meaning, like when Emmet says, “Awww J-Bear. You’re my big, toppy, dominant bear. But you’re a teddy bear too.” 😭💕
Now, don't let all the cuteness fool you—this book is full of secrets, tension, and scenes that will absolutely make your jaw drop.
One of my favorite spicy scenes? When Jayce asks Emmet, “Do you want to prep her or should I?” and Emmet responds with that teasing "I’ll take over, J-Bear." Their chemistry is sizzling 🔥🔥, but also packed with emotion, making you root for their complicated love every step of the way.
And can we talk about Peter?! If I ever see him, he’s getting my hands.💥The way he treated Jayce and Madyson had me fuming!
But what really grabbed me was the emotional tension between Emmet and Jayce—like when Emmet pins Jayce to the wall, growling, “You’ve seen her?” with his hand around Jayce's throat. Talk about intensity!😳 You can practically feel the storm brewing between them.
Heather absolutely delivers on the second-chance, enemies-to-lovers tension, with a perfect blend of heartbreak and hope. You’ll laugh, you’ll gasp, and you’ll be flipping pages so fast your Kindle might just catch fire! 🔥🔥
So, if you're ready for age-gap goodness, enemies-to-lovers spice, and a trio that’s as complicated as they are HOT, run (don’t walk!) to get "The Truth of Our Secrets."
This one’s got 5⭐️, 4🌶️, and alllll the feels. Trust me—you’ll be calling someone J-Bear by the end of it!😏
The Truth of Our Secrets is a masterpiece of emotional depth, magnetic characters, and a love story that transcends the traditional. Heather Leighson brings Emmet, Jayce, and Madyson to life in a complex, angsty MMF romance that explores healing, redemption, and a fierce commitment to love despite the past’s dark shadows.
Emmet’s journey from a scarred, abandoned teen to a resilient, strong man is powerfully raw and heartfelt. His reconnection with Jayce and Madyson reveals intense, lingering wounds, yet it’s clear that there is something deeper binding them. Jayce, though seemingly distant and guarded, hides a fire that smolders each time Emmet is near. His fierce protectiveness of Madyson and his conflicting feelings about Emmet create a tantalizing tension that keeps you eagerly turning pages. And Madyson—strong, loving, and unyielding—is the heart of this trio. She is determined to mend the fractures between these two men she loves, driven by the belief that the three of them are meant to be together.
The narrative's slow-burn intensity, combined with themes of forgiveness and vulnerability, makes their journey feel real and earned. Leighson doesn’t shy away from the complexities of love, especially with tough themes like trauma and family rejection, but she handles each with grace and respect. Their eventual connection feels both cathartic and inevitable, and the beautifully crafted HEA is more than satisfying—it’s life-affirming.
If you’re a fan of deeply layered, angsty romances with well-developed characters and a strong storyline, The Truth of Our Secrets is a must-read. This is an unforgettable MMF romance that reminds us love can indeed conquer all—even the darkest secrets.

Wow, what an end of a series. Just when you thought the books couldn’t get any better, Heather says Hold My Beer 🍺
I thought this would be my least favorite book, but boy, I was wrong. I fell so hard for these three people.
Emmet, was so young but had to grow up so fast. Madyson, only wants the best for the people she loves. And Jayce, my man Jayce, is just trying to keep the people he loves safe.
Their love story is an intense one. Each one of them has been through so much in life already but together they make each other so beautifully whole. These characters see each other for what and who they are and care for each other on such a deep level. They’re so sweet, so thoughtful, and fall so hard. Plus, Jayce calling Emmet a fallen angel did me in. I think I fell just as hard for them as they did for each other.
I tried to go slow and savor this book but I devoured it in less than 24 hours. I just couldn’t stop reading it. This book drags you through all the feels and no one writes hurt/comfort like Heather does.
I’ve got sooo much to say but can’t without spoiling all the goods so please do yourself a favor and go read this book.
The Truth of Our Secrets gets the full 5⭐️ & 4🌶️ from me. I can’t wait to reread this book. Or the whole series for that matter. Because each book and every character in the Unframed Art series is unbelievable.
TROPES ✨ Age Gap ✨ MMF Romance ✨ Enemies to Lovers ✨ Second Chance ✨ Hurt Comfort ✨ 1st Person / Multi POV
I really wanted to give it four stars or more, because I think many people might like this book just as I loved the first two books. . But for me it is a big block not to be able to connect with the characters, I just adored and loved Emmet, my heart is completely with him and I would have wished the whole world for him. I couldn't connect with Madyson, since the second book I felt that I didn't like her, that she made everything about her and in this book I didn't like how Jayce and Emmet were functional to her. . I would have loved more romance. But in this series, although there is romance, a large part is the representation of situations and conflicts that many people can go through, and how they deal with that burden while trying to find their place in the world and their person. . The angst, the misunderstanding situations and the rivalry between the characters play an important part in the relationship between the characters and the steamy scenes are very steamy. So if you are a fan of love stories that have you hanging by a thread and praying that the characters meet and love each other like in a great love story as they find their place in the world, this mmf romance is for you. . I don't know if I can say much without spoilers, I am very passionate about my books. But it is a series that I highly recommend. . . . . Thanks to Heather Leighson and her team for give me a copy of this book in exchange for my honest and voluntary opinion.
✎ 𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝚃𝚛𝚞𝚝𝚑 𝙾𝚏 𝙾𝚞𝚛 𝚂𝚎𝚌𝚛𝚎𝚝𝚜 is the 3rd book in the 𝙰𝚗 𝚄𝚗𝚏𝚛𝚊𝚖𝚎𝚍 𝙰𝚛𝚝 𝚂𝚎𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚜.It an 𝙼𝙼𝙵 story.
✎ This story follows three different characters and their journey to breaking away from an abusive cycle, accountability, forgiveness, care and love.
✎ 𝙴𝙼𝙼𝙴𝚃 is a sweet young man,but he has a lot of responsibilities on his shoulders and he’s struggling financially, while also taking care of his mother and sister.𝙹𝙰𝚈𝙲𝙴 just got out of a marriage with an abusive and manipulative husband who’s is still bent on making his life miserable.𝙼𝙰𝙳𝚈𝚂𝙾𝙽 is a strong woman with a past that haunts her and a family who belittles and emotionally abuses her,but she was finally able to cut them off.But with everything going on in their lives, these three managed to formed a beautiful and strong bond, they found love, care and peace in each other.
✎ This story is about accepting the mistake we made in the past, taking accountability for our actions, working ourselves to deserves forgiveness from the people we may have hurt intentionally or unintentionally. Is learning that lies never makes any situation better and surrounding yourself with people who loves you and wants the best for you will always make you aspire to be a better version of yourself.
No, no, and no. I refuse to accept that Emmet stayed after all the lies. 😔
I love him. He's such a sweet character. I feel like he was used by Jayce and Madyson to save their fledgling relationship. You simply can not tell me that they had a healthy relationship. It was toxic as hell. All Jayce ever did was lie to her and treat her like some fragile little damsel in distress. NO. She wasn't any better with her constant whining.
I read this book for Emmet and Emmet alone. He deserves so much more than Jayce and Madyson. The man is sweet and gentle and has had to live through awful times. If there's anyone that deserves to find his person/people, it's him. ❤️
I will admit that Jayce and Madyson have one redeeming quality between them, and its that they are quite generous. But I can't get over all the lies. The foundation of their relationship is all lies. There's not a single truth to it. They are weird. Their dynamic is off, and I just don't see why Emmet has to settle for them.
Emmet has taken over my heart. I stuck it out for him because I wanted to see him RUN from the toxicity and find himself a person who would honor and cherish him. In my head, he leaves Jayce and Madyson after living out his high school crush/fantasy with them and finds his true HEA with someone who respects and cares for him from the beginning enough to always be honest with him no matter how hard that is.
Jayce turned me off in the early parts of the book as he comes across as untruthful in his relationship with Madison. There are layers and layers of secrets and misinformation. Enter Emmett…again. Anger and fear tear apart the connection that sings with sexual tension.
Friendship first. Holy hotness, those make out sessions lead to some of the most potent intimate scenes. Each has a role but they’re determined to tear down walls. And secrets and lies hurt them all but love can be healing. Trust even more so.
This is quite a journey for Emmett in finding love and for Jayce in trust and full honesty. The family they build is worth it all but it doesn’t come easily as they have to fight their pasts and not let the present and future be destroyed.
The friendships and family developed over three books with Cole and Shane, Alec and Von, Jayce and Madyson and Emmett. A great series with some 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!
This is the third book in the MM Unframed Art Series, and my second to read. This book features a MMF throuple.
The books in this series tell the stories of how different couples who are in the same basic network get together. The characters in this book were in the previous books and this book continued to have the characters from the previous books in it, even though they were no longer the focus.
For this book, it is Madyson, Jayce, and Emmet’s time to shine. We get a lot of background on each of the characters, and see how they come together. I enjoyed reading their stories and how they overcame the challenges they encountered.
There is a ton of spice in this book (and series), so if that’s your thing, these are the books for you!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher/author for this copy of the book.
Well written MMF romance, think it takes a special skill to really sell thruples/poly and it's not just a lot of smexy times. This definitely delivered with genuine character development, storytelling, and romance (all verra important!). As always, Heather nails it in the spicy spice department 🔥
Madyson, Jayce & Emmet are so good together (the chemistry!!!), and so glad they got their HEA. Madyson is truly a baby girl, Jayce is outwardly strong but vulnerable, and Emmet is incredibly mature and steadfast.
Technically, could read this as a standalone but reading the series from the start will give you better insight to the characters and POVs, this is on the same timeline as the 2nd book.
Really enjoyed reading this, think it was a fab way to wrap up the Unframed Art series - love the entire series!
Thank you, Heather, for my copy of The Truth of Our Secrets.
Book 3 in the Unframed Arts series The Truth of Our Secrets takes place during the same timeline as events in previous books. Though it can be read as a standalone, it does act as a spoiler.
I haven't read many MMF Romances and I wasn't sure if I would enjoy this, but I loved the rest of the Unframed Art series and I was so intrigued by Emmet, Madyson & Jayce and I need to know their story. Heather did not disappoint, like her other books, The Truth of Our Secrets has depth and multiple threads that had me gripped.
Things I 🤍 🤍 Hockey 🤍 Tattoo artist 🤍 MMF Romance 🤍 Why Choose 🤍 Epilogue 🤍 Second Chance 🤍 Resolution 🤍 Multi POV
The Truth of Our Secrets I found hard to fully engage and connect with the characters. All characters were very self conscious and had low self esteem, which would have been fine if there was room for them to grow. The whole story just felt forced and disconnected, like it was just meant for the sexy parts and the storyline was just the side. I was hoping toward the middle it would pick up but it just got more dramatic and kept repeating the same insecurities of the characters. Overall, it could have been better written and drop some of the low self esteem of the characters, it made them appear pathetic so the sexy scenes were not doing it for me.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC.
I am not sure what I was expecting when I started reading this book, but I was pleasantly surprised. From reading the previous 2 books in the series, I had a clear idea in my head of each of the characters and how I believed their story would play out. Boy, was I wrong, and I couldn't be happier. I knew that I would enjoy the book as I really enjoy Heather's writing style, but she really outdid herself on this one. Jayce had so many more layers than I was expecting, Emmett was so much more protective than I was read for, and Madyson was so much stronger than I could have been prepared for. This book was a great way to wrap up the series, and I can definitely see myself coming back to read it again.
The Truth of Our Secrets was another amazing addition to the Unframed Art series.
These mcs have some series character growth. Each of these characters have a pretty intense background story and although none are exactly the same they connect over their pasts so well. The author handled the more sensitive parts of this story with care and respect.
This book catches you off guard with how emotional it is. As each character accepts how the others help them all three become so emotionally whole. Their love is palpable and as they fall they fall hard. Madison, Jayce, and Emmett care so deeply for eachother.
I could not wait to read this book! I have loved Emmet since reading “The Truth of Our Past” so I’m glad we finally got his story.
This book was about 3 broken people, each with somewhat of a traumatic past, who find strength and love in each other and it was so beautifully written. It took me on an emotional rollercoaster, but it’s definitely my favorite out of the 3 books so far (which I didn’t think would be possible after reading Cole and Shane’s book). ❤️
Looking forward to reading more books from this author in the future!
Wow! Another great story of highs, lows and incredible love from author Heather Leighson! This is such a good series.
I’m not usually a fan of throuples, but I devoured this book. Her characters are a mixture of deep emotions and individual outlooks. Sensitive topics are handled with care and respect. The steam is fantastic.
I love that this is part of a series with beloved characters from the previous books. Is it too soon to say I’m looking forward to book 4..?!
And lastly, I love the dedication page: “…Do what’s right for you.” Amen to that.
I want my own Emmet! I love Emmet. His strength, his heart, his dedication and his honesty. It took me a while to warm up to Jayce. Lies are not acceptable to me. I was also skeptical about Madyson after The Truth of Our Past (Part 2). But I was captivated by her very quickly. As the story progressed, I became more and more convinced that Madyson and Jayce were exactly what Emmet needed. The ending of the book is really very satisfying!
WOW! Another amazing book by Heather Leighson. I think this was a great end to an amazing series. I really loved reading about their relationship and seeing how it unfolded. I love that the female in this trio was not forgotten and every relationship seemed to have equal amounts of love from every side. I absolutely loved seeing Jayce and Emmet get over the issues they had with each other and come together to protect Madyson. I think it was a beautiful story.
To be absolutely transparent this is not a MM novel it is a MMF from the beginning to the end. It is super spicy with maybe a few too many sex scenes, while they are sexy as all get out there are a lot. There is a lot of secrets hence the title and when you think you have got them all there are more but none of them are too crazy. I received an advanced copy of this book.
I received this book through a Goodreads Giveaway. There was a lot of potential with this story but I didn’t feel like it was ever realized. The characters were all so broken and needy and in Emmett’s case especially, pathetic and ridiculous. It became painful to read after a while. I wanted more tension from the story and more growth from the characters. Ultimately, it felt like a vehicle for an abundance of sex scenes and not much else. I’d give it 2.5 stars rounded down.
Each character has their own story but yet come together in the most beautiful way.
The message that this book gives off is, love is love regardless of sexual orientation. Love is unique, love is beautiful and worth the sacrifices you might have to make along the way!
I want to thank Net Galley for the ARC! Okay wow! This book was hot! There were a lot of heated scenes in this book! Madison, Emmett, and Jayce have all came from different places in life with different challenges. I loved how they all came together and helped each other out. They blended together so perfectly. This is an MMF book, which usually isn't something I read, but the story was good.
Received a copy through NetGalley in return for a review.. I wasn't a huge fan of the writing, but overall it was a good story. I liked how there was a lower class character, makes the story more relatable. I didn't like the fact there was only small parts with conflict, though. I was hoping for bigger issues with Peter. Those parts seemed a bit rushed to me. :/
This story is a complex look at a relationship between three people who very much want to be together and need one another. Watching as they and they and their connection transforms is interesting and kept me reading to the end.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Another great edition to the unframed art series. Jayce, Madyson and Emmett all have their own childhood (and adulthood) trauma to overcome/ work through to achieve their happily ever after. Lovely to see their found family supporting them and repairing damaged friendships. Allowing their secrets to blind them from the truth provides consequences and trust needs to be re-earned.
I have read these books all out of order, but I don't hate it 🤣🤦♀️. I had been wondering for several reads now why exactly Jayce is the way Jayce is, so I was excited that it was time for me to stumble upon his story. I loved Jayce and Emmet. I loved the group together. I loved Emmet and Madyson. I just didn't quite love Jayce and Madyson. Maybe I didn't forgive him, the way the others did 🤷♀️.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Holy hotness! Each book gets hotter! I loved the connection between Madyson, Jayce and Emmet. Their journey spanned over years and all the emotions will tug on your heart as you root for them. I loved it!
I think this was my favorite book of the series. The complexity of the characters kept this a page turner. I got no work done while I was reading it. And of course the sexy scenes were HOT!
Such a great ending to the series!!! I was a bit skeptical as this was my first MMF romance but I’m very happy with how their stories of life and love turned out. I will definitely recommend this series.
