Anna, the titular Margrave's daughter, is the odd one out in her family. She takes after her father and is more interested in weapons and warfare than she is in being a lady. When things go wrong on the battlefield against the enemy kingdom, Anna is given over to the enemy kingdom's general as peace offering. Anna has no intention of going quietly and when she finds herself in a violent situation with the general, non other than the enemy prince comes to her aid. The pince, however, has his own plans for her.
The art is absolutely beautiful and this is a promising start to the series. Anna is so far quite the typical arch type character of noble lady who would rather swing a sword, but I definitely like her so far. There is a good balance between humour and dark scenes that make the stakes feel reasonably high. The prince's motives are hard to read so I think this series will offer interesting romance dynamics.
Yet more of the stakes the country faces come to light with Prince Kenneth and Raven return. In the meantime, Anna has been busy turning the academy on its' ear and now seems to have won over the school in her favor, even above Iris' previous spotlight. With Kenneth now returning and Iris realizing Anna may be an even bigger threat and rival than she assumed, it will be interesting to see how the Eclipse family retaliates. Though Iris may at least think that her feelings are more true than her siblings, and that allows her a different fate, it seems she also is aware that she is just a pawn in her father's games and there is ultimately very little she has control of as events unfold. Anna, on the other hand, seems determined to blaze her own path and refuses to bend to demands, which just draws Prince Kenneth to her even more.

I’m interested to see how this all plays out but felt like this volume was definitely a filler volume where not a whole lot plot wise really happened. I am not expecting much from this series and debating dropping it in the future 😞
The story continues to be very fast paced but I've been enjoying it the whole way. There's quite a few chapters in each volume, I think like 11 chapters?! Despite that it goes by pretty fast. There aren't more pages than usual, only about 175 or so, so maybe the chapters are just short? Anywho, I'm enjoying the story quite a bit and the character developments. The little schemes to make political movements are cute too. In general it's just a nice read.
Sooooo good , I can’t wait to see more of the romance and I love Anna so much as a character !! I can’t wait to see her more as the navigate all the political things
I'm glad they're addressing Iris's feelings as she may be evil but she also has a point. I could easily see someone isekai-ing into her, let's say that.
