DNF @ somewhere around 130 pages. A fine book, lots of good ideas for games and things in it. I liked the checklists, too, and the little short journaling sections. But ultimately not quite what I needed for my (NAS, preemie, foster) son.

I absolutely loved this book and would totally read it again! It was super easy to read and fun. The author did such a good job going through each month developmentally. It is written in a tone more for anxious parents and with that, I was hoping for more colored illustrations to ease the anxious/new parent mind a bit. There were a lot of activities and games in which I felt colorful illustrations would have been a really nice touch. There were some interactions with the baby described that did not feel natural to me however, keep in mind every baby is different in ways as well as staying true to your intuition as a parent which I think it important to foster in parenthood. Overall, all great info, I will be getting the physical version of this book for myself and also for my work as a therapist as well. I also enjoyed how there was a development check list at the end of the book and journal pages after each month. So sweet. I am also looking forward to learning more about the Author’s work on education as well. I definitely recommend this book!

This is such a fun and useful book! Not only is it a great place to track milestones, it also contains over 150 age appropriate activities and games to play with your little one. It has checklists for all of the 1st year major milestones, side note with good tips and info for common problems, and each chapter fits with the corresponding month from the 1st month all the way up to 12 months. They each contains highlights and challenges as well as space to write notes about your baby and learning and development each month.
This would be great for an expecting or new mom gift!
There is also a place in the back of the book where you can write letters to your baby, "a day in the life" at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months, and spaces to write about places, books, games and more. I highly recommend.
I did get a copy from Callisto Publisher's Club but the opinions here are my own.

Excellent information! Very insightful and concisely written, which was helpful because I could keep up with it while having a new baby. Great activity ideas!

I found this book super helpful with understanding child development at each stage, what to observe my Baby doing, how to support Baby’s development, and engaging activities to enjoy with Baby!

...My parents said they wished they had had a helpful book like this when they were raising their kids.
