It has been six months since retired NYPD Detective, James Maguire, faced-off against his quarry.
Maguire has spent countless hours chasing down leads and sightings of the elusive serial killer, only to watch them slip away at the very last moment.
For Maguire, and the state police task force charged with capturing Banning, it is as if the man had never even existed.
Now Maguire’s old friend, Richard Stargold, has been appointed as the new NYPD police commissioner, and is offering James the opportunity to return to the department he loves.
While the specter of his past remains ever present, now an even greater danger looms just ahead on the horizon, a threat which will put even more lives at risk.
In a game driven by revenge, how much will be sacrificed to win?

He has traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe, something that he draws from in his writing. When he is not reading or writing he can be found engaging in his other passion, collecting and researching police and WWII military memorabilia. He is the author of numerous police procedural novels, focused on the NYPD, as well as a number of non-fiction works.
Great read! Not very comfortable with the explicit sex scene with Trish and Banning but that is just me. I enjoyed the twist and turns and because I love our first responders I wish the two NYPD officers had been able to neutralize the first terrorist instead of getting blown up. BUT then it wouldn't have been as interesting 😏 . it was action packed and fast paced. Looking forward to #3. Going to buy it now.
God gets blamed for things man does- or doesn’t do in his name!!! Melody uses the Queens Gambit to save herself, but… I enjoyed this story and recommend the book.
