This book is a time capsule, a look at a time when DC's top book WAS NOT Batman. New Teen Titans and Legion of Super Heroes were huge pre-Crisis. Levitz and Giffen juggle two dozen Legionnaires and their various plotlines and never drop any balls. I have to think Giffen used the lessons he learned on LOSH when he was helping to craft 52 decades later. The pace reminds me of 52 more than anything else. Each issue is stuffed to the gills.
