This book had promise and I think that was one of the most disappointing things. There was so much this story could have been, but it wasn't. We start with a group of friends who go out of country on a ski vacation, the characters fall flat there's a lot of pointless talk. This is not the age group that are typically in adult books, they think about nothing other than relationships and have no real personalities to them. I have no sense of who they are or why I should care if they are kidnapped. (Don't get me wrong, it is always sad when someone is kidnapped, but you need to make me feel something for these characters.) They get mixed up in a terrorist situation, where the terrorist thinks that they are spies. Should be pretty heart pound and edge of the seat action...not really.

We have torture scenes (including rape when it comes to the woman), I had a hard time understanding exactly what was going on with a couple of them and felt that they could have been better executed. As time moves on we go from the girls having paranoia and what should have been twists in the plot line were poorly written and implemented. The book had plenty of potential as far as plot, but it was disappointing to me. The book even had three alternative endings...that really did nothing for me. A lot of tell and no show, head hopping, flat characters, confusing time/scene jumps, I feel that the author could have done much more to polish up this book.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

Received a copy exchange for an honest review. I give this book 5 wonderful stars.

I don't normally read books like this but wow this author is brilliant. Will be reading more from this author.

It started out as a ski trip that turns deadly. The twist and turns in this book had me on edge. I read this book in less than a day. The storyline intrigued me from page 1 until the end. Speaking of the end. I didn't see that coming. I did feel bad for Allison, to have to go through all that. Thanks for allowing me to read this book. If you like mystery and suspense this is a book for you. I definitely will recommend this book. Great job

This was really good read . Once I got in to reading this book it was hard for me to put down. It picked up the pace of the story quickly. Yes it was dark and torture was gruesome, but i know that going in to the book thats what made the book a good creepy horror read. They hole story was not just days of what happen to the group but it went it to years of there life and how the dealt with things. . I will be reading lots more TJ Weeks books

I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this story, it was fast paced and intriguing with interesting characters and a great plot. I found one part of the story line to be a little far fetched but it made for an interesting story. I will definitely be looking for more titles by Mr. Weeks!

To be fair, I only read half of this book. The story was there, but the many grammatical errors and plot holes really ruined it for me. Not recommended.
