Prince of Darkness is an OTT, age gap, forced proximity,opposites-attract, secret pregnancy, dark mafia romance. Liam is an FBI agent with Bratva ties. Kate is the younger daughter of the police chief. Liam had put her into witness protection only to be advised by the head of the Mafia to retrieve her as she is the best friend of his wife. I am kind of at a loss on how much to put in this review as I don't want to give away spoilers. There are so many twists and turns, a ton of angst and a lot of steam. Liam and Kate had explosive chemistry. But they both really frustrated me at times. Liam was so hot and cold, and Kate just kept returning. Will she stay when secrets are revealed? Will Liam fight for her and their baby. This one was a hot and steamy roller-coaster ride that was worth the ride in the end.

surprise pregnancy trope? hell yes🙏🏼
this was definetly a wild ride cause at one point i really wanted to throw my kindle against the next wall... talk about miscommunication and "i'm not good for you" phrases🥲 but tbh this whole stuff kept me on my toes while reading which is what i love in a book. also both characters were really getting on my last nerves sometimes💀
but who really pissed me off were niko and elena (the mc's of the first book). like they were so annoying and sometimes just insufferable. they really thought everything still revolved around them and no one could have their own opinions and thoughts about certain things...

anyway i still kinda loved this one idk

This is a well written mafia romance with strong characters in Kate and Liam. The author does a great job developing the story and pulling you in. She takes you into their lives with the steam and kept me reading with the twists and turns as she delivers an action packed page turner. Loved and recommend this book.

Holy smokes hold on for a wild ride.

Prince of Darkness is book 3 in the Shadows of Redemtion series that follows Liam and Kate. The series is interconnected but can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend you read the other books in this series so you can see how all the other characters interact with each other and how Kate ended up in hiding.
Liam is an FBI Agent but works in secret with his friend and mob boss Niko as his consigliere. He also arranged to have Kate put in witness protection.

Kate wasn't brought up in organized crime in fact her father was police chief but she became friends with Elena who's father was mafia along with her now husband Niko who's also a mob boss. Through a series of scary events she ends up in WITSEC but that doesn't last long when her friend Elena wants her back in her life. Once again she's in danger.

This book is so well written and so full of emotions it will take you on a journey that's dangerous, suspenseful, brutal and dark. There are so many secrets, lies, twist, turns, betrayals, murder, chaos and steamy sex to keep you turning the page.

I can't wait to read Aria and Luca's story in Angel of Mercy.

This is the 3rd story in the Shadows of Redemtion Series that has Kate and Liam’s journey come full circle. Liam goal is to keep Kate safe from his dark world and they develop some hidden feelings during their interactions while being places in Witness Protection. Liam’s position in the FBI and being Niko’s consigliere of the Mafia has her quickly involved in the Mafia or Bratva worlds due to her friendship with Elena, Niko’s wife. Kate has no experience with the organized world and finds herself pulled into the fray. When Kate is returned to a normal way of life similar to growing up in with her police chief father things don’t go as planned. Liam is his own worse enemy by denying his true feelings for Kate and when Kate is heartbroken over it she realizes a secret she’s held close until it becomes a way first the enemy to use her against Liam. Their life will be challenged and be put into dangerously dark situations with death, secrets, betrayal and some twisted turns you will not see coming. The intensity between these two will have your heart rate going! Liam struggles with his choices until faced with a life altering decision…. While I was looking forward to the next instalment of this great series, I was disappointed when Liam fought his feelings for Kate after everything they had been through. Yes, he was still protective and had his reasons for what he did, but if he wanted to keep Kate away from the mafia life, he should have left her in witness protection. After all, who takes someone out of WITSEC just because his friend’s wife missed her BFF? By the middle of the book, I was thoroughly sick of Liam’s ambivalence and was climbing the walls with his “will he, or won’t he” actions. He was either f*cking Kate or pushing her away because he wasn’t good enough for her and she didn’t belong in the life. He wasn’t the only one driving himself crazy and I just wanted him to make up his mind. I hated the way he treated her too and was frankly surprised she kept coming back for more. In all other respects, the story was intense and fast-paced as Liam shed his FBI persona to become head of the Bratva, while trying to keep ahead of his nemesis Dimitri Babichev. In their final confrontation, the question Liam faces is not between life and death, but whether he has anything to live for, if Kate is not there by his side.

Lots of upside and downs!

Poor Kate,every time she settles she has to move after she is told she is safe.Liam tries to keep his promises but their is one man out there that wants her dead and until that is she has to move but when she does the guy blows up the places,tries to kill and even goes so far to run into Kate in the supermarket! Kate is fallen for Liam but every time he comes around she doesn't know if she get the dark Liam or the light Liam.Soon Liam is running out of places to hide Kate and he comes up with a plan to leave her with his friends and stand back but that's very bad,Kate puts up with it just so long and that's it.Liam gets into serious trouble and he almost gets himself killed, But things work out now Kate has her life back but Liam isn't in it,he goes of the deep end,the dark side so to speak,His friends try to make him see the light but he is to stubborn, finally one day he see'sthe light and goes to Kate but she wants nothing to with him but does listen to him after she gives him her concerns! They do have c a very happy ending! This story does have a lot of upside and downs,some places could be dark!Both main characters could be considered stubborn, one more than the other.

What I liked- This book was a page turner. I read way past my bedtime. I liked all of the characters, including the side characters. Except the villain, who wasn’t the cool kind of villain that you secretly fall in love with. I think it’s cool that she had a bookstore (in romance, it’s almost always a bakery, bookstore, or inn and I still love it).
What I didn’t- I’m not a fan of angst- and this book was very angsty- but I didn’t mind with this book. I felt it moved the plot and was very in keeping with the hero’s character and tortured past. The author wrote it well enough that it wasn’t annoying.

Their Unbreakable Connection -
Liam’s pull towards Kate from their first interaction was intense, which escalated every time she was in dire straits. However, Liam tried to stay away from her due to his dangerous lifestyle. However, Liam couldn’t contain his attraction for Kate, which led them to engage in a wild and steamy tryst, that changed their lives. Unfortunately, Liam’s fears about the dangers surrounding him caused him to make a decision that nearly cost him a chance at a happy life with Kate.

Luckily, his friends were able to give him the kick in the backside he needed to fight for the life he deserved. "Wow! I really enjoyed reading this fantastic romance story, that took me on a thrilling ride filled with plenty of twists, drama and action-packed moments. It felt like the characters were living a life in the Whac-A-Mole game, as just when they think a problem has been resolved, a new one pops up. The story drew me in and didn’t let go until I read the final word. Grab a copy of this book and you won’t be disappointed.

This was a wild ride of secrets & lies, betrayal, kidnapping, drama, action, mafia, FBI, WitSec, protection, passion and love and this is Kate and Liams story. Kate try’s to help her friend Elena escape her father and her husband Nico but it doesn’t end well for her and now she finds herself kidnapped and almost trafficked bbut is save by FBI Agent Liam Rostova who puts her in WitSec to keep her safe and to say there wasn’t an instant attraction to him she would be lying. FBI Agent Liam Rostova has to protect Kate and keep her safe after saving her from being trafficked so he puts her into WitSec where he can keep her safe but from who when his best friend Nico is the Mafia and that he works for him as his consigliere but his feelings for Kate are getting in the way and he fights the attraction but for how long and will she still want to be with him when learns who he really is and what part he plays.

I absolutely loved reading this book it was amazing, once I started reading I couldn't put the book down definitely worth buying the book. The story was written well and the characters were well advanced. This story was about Liam and Kate, Liam is dominant silver hair gorgeous man he worked for the FBI his job was to rescue a female and put into witness protection. Kate is a gorgeous smart caring person she didn't expect to be kidnapped and her life turned upside down. The chemistry between these two was hot explosive night and not to be repeated, or so he says. The were so many secrets, Kate brought the light into Liam's darkness, lies were told, pain when you find the person looks empty. This book was so good that once the betrayal, lies and secrets have unwovern themselves will everything work out.

Prince of Darkness is book 3 in the Shadows of Redemption series this is Liam and Kate's book.

After taking Kate out of witness protection, Liam made it his life mission to keep her safe, he leaves the FBI and takes over the Bratva where he is the rightful leader, he didn't want to but it was the only way to keep her safe from the others that are after him to take charge.

Liam tried to keep his distance and fought his feelings for Kate as every time he got close something happened, and he had to keep moving her.

This is a wild rollercoaster ride but well worth it, It is well written and has a good storyline, with other characters from the first two books appearing.

you are kept on the edge of your seat wanting to know if they will get together and he will look after Kate and his child.

This character plays a significant role in the series, building upon previous books to provide a deeper understanding of Liam's character development. Beginning as a principled FBI agent, Liam is ultimately compelled to reclaim his family's leadership position within the Bratva in order to safeguard Kate, whom he has long cared for. Their tumultuous journey is filled with obstacles and sacrifices, as Liam struggles with his desire to shield Kate by distancing himself. The compelling narrative kept me thoroughly engaged, and the resolution was particularly satisfying. I look forward to delving into the next installment featuring the younger sister.

The two protagonists of this story seem so unsuitable for each other one is the best friend of the wife of a member of the Mob and the other an FBI agent. It's an unusual combination but it seems to work. Their story is intense, and their romance is forbidden. They met when Agent Liam Rostova's best friend is Don Niko Leone tasked him to bring Kate back to New York for his wife Elena.

It doesn't take long for things to get hot and heavy between Liam and Kate but then the situation changes putting everyone in danger. This is a dark, fast-paced story that kept me on the edge of my seat anxiously anticipating what would happen next. There's action, chaos, danger, drama, surprises, twists and turns as well as palpable chemistry, heat and romance.

The FBI and the Mob is quite the combination in this fantastic, intense, forbidden romance. Agent Liam Rostova is so much more and being around Kate makes him feel so much more. His best friend Don Niko Leone, tasks him with bringing Kate back to New York for her best friend Elena, who's also Don Leone's wife. Things get hot and heavy with the Agent and Kate and changes are brought about that could put them all in danger. Prince Of Darkness is a dark, fast-paced story that'll keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. There's lots of chaos, danger, surprises, twists and turns that has it's readers anxiously anticipating what comes next.

Liam and Kate’s story. Put into protective witness program by FBI agent Liam Rostov, he comes back to get her so he can protect her from his sworn enemy who wants to take over the Bratva. Even tho Liam renounced his rightful position as head of the Bratva after his father’s murder, situations arise to pull him back as leader but he is targeted and Kate is his enemy’s way to get to Liam. Both of them are denying each other their true feelings and he keeps pushing her away because of his brokenness thinking anyone he loves leaves. Another great story from Ajme, I couldn’t put it down!

Liam has wanted Kate from the moment he saw her. As an FBI agent she trusted him to protect her. Now that he has returned to his roots and claimed his rightful place as the pakhan of the Bratva he knows he cannot have her. Kate's life was turned upside down when she learned her best friend was a Mafia Princess and her father was a dirty cop. But she trusts Liam, until she learns the truth.

This was a great book and a wonderful addition to the series. I look forward to reading the next book.

Wow this series just keeps getting better and better!

Liam and Kate really had all the makings of an intense and dark union that turned romantic in a twisted sort of way. They sure had chemistry but the one night of intense passion led to misfire in a relationship starting the wrong way.

Very well done I couldn't put it down, nor wanted to. I truly enjoyed Liam and Kate's relationship freedom start to finish and the strange way it came about. Certainly kept me guessing.

This is the third of the Shadows of Redemption, which is interconnected but it can be read as a standalone. Liam is a FBI agent who works as consigliere for his best friend Don Niko Leone. He is tasked by him to bring his wife's bestie, Kate back to NY.

Kate and Liam have such chemistry, after one night together he tries to keep his distance. But as they say that is all it takes, Kate is pregnant with his child. Will he be able to protect both of them from the danger coming?.

Kate had been friends with mafia princess Elena, which meant that she ended up in WITSEC after a criminal war. Liam was a FBI agent but he had always helped his mafia friends. He grabs Kate to protect her but then he finds that he doesn't want to return her to her normal life.

Will he be able to keep her safe?

This book is part of a series although it can be read as a standalone. This is a great series.

Unwanted

Kate came from a world where she grew up in a suburban life. She wasn't happy when her best friend brought the mafia life onto her doorstep. Due to her involvement in helping her friend, a hit was placed on her back. Liam suggested placing Kate in witness protection. During that time, he protected her until the enemy got close again. Both developed feelings for each other, but she wanted nothing to do with the mafia life.
There was too much back and forth in this story.

Probably the least action packed out of the series so far. I do like the story development but would've loved to see them after they had their baby (I'm a sucker for epilogues).
But overall, I like the character development especially with how Kate has an internal battle on whether she wants to be part of the Bratva or not.
I kind of wish there was a plot twist with Liam giving up the life but I know it's not possible.
So excited to read the next book! So many hints of Aria and Luca were scattered around the book!

I enjoyed reading this book. Once I started reading Prince of Darkness, I didn't want to put it down. The characters are fantastic and the storyline hooked me from the start. I don't want to spoil this book for anyone so I won't give details. I recommend reading this book. It is great! I have read numerous books by this author and I will continue to do so.

Prince of Darkness by Ajme Williams is the story of Liam and Kate. Whew!!! This story was amazing!!!! Kate is in major danger and Liam is tasked with getting her and putting her into a witness protection program. But, things end up slightly different than either of them expect.

Full of danger, passion, alpha goodness, and plenty of steamy romance! I loved these characters and was completely immersed in this story!!! Excellent read!!!

Doormat heroine. Commitment phobe male lead. She jumps every time he tells her to. He’s weak and emotionally manipulative. She’s weak and overly self sacrificing. It’s written well though. I just didn’t root for them and I thought she could do much better. In fact I’d read a book where a woman heals from her unrequited love with a better man who loves her hard. Maybe a mob version of Madeline Hunter’s Rules of Seduction. You can do better, Kate!

Williams delivers a wonderfully well written mafia romance that is sure to captivate and thrill. Liam and Kate's journey is steamy and delivers all the twists and turns that and turns to keep you glued to the pages. A roller coaster of a ride you won't regret getting on. I can't wait to see what thrills are to come next with Williams' new addition.
