Darkness & Light by Mahadai Murray is a page turner. I could see into her mindset and read exactly what she was feeling when she thought of the situation. It is always good to pen your feelings. I enjoyed reading this book with the lovely poems and paintings. You are talented Mahadai. I highly recommend this book, and looking forward to the next book.

Darkness & Light is a book that speaks on the totality of life being a woman and an immigrant. Mahadai's story goes within the experiences that women go through growing up in a complicated world, while still trying to survive and integrate beauty in her existence. This book captures beautifully the reverence for life.
