Teacup and Sorcery by Rosie Reed is a magical paranormal mystery that had me turning the pages to not only see what would happen next but to figure out who’s committing murders in Royal Windsor. It was nice that Evelyn and Alex, who we know from Maiden-Upon-Avon and the author’s other series, play a part in this story.

Teacup and Sorcery is Amber’s story. Amber could be a novice witch but never wanted any part of the magical world, but that seems about to change. We get to see her lessons and how she fares in helping others.

Multiple stories are being told, and they are tied together nicely. There are vivid descriptions of the location, its inhabitants, businesses, and especially the magical beings since only some are as they seem. Visualizing what the author relayed as she set the scene and told the tale was easy.

There is a good flow to the story with lots of twists and turns as Amber is, of course, helping the detectives solve the crimes. The story ended abruptly for me, but there is closure in solving some of the crimes. There’s one more murder that I hope will be solved in the next book in the series, One Fine Cake. I love the detail of the cover as well as the title.

Teacup and Sorcery is filled with magical beings and some evil as we envelop ourselves in this cozy mystery.

One Fine Day is the second book in the Cat Café Magical Mystery series by Rosie Reed. There are a lot of similarities with her English Village Witch Cozy series and even crossovers with the characters. Amber and Evelyn are cousins and also witches in training. Amber is front and center as an amateur sleuth with her magical training.

There’s a murder of a nonmagical being, and Amber jumps into action searching for clues and whodunnit, much to the chagrin of her werewolf friend, who could be more but is also a copper. There are a lot of Beings of Magic of different kinds woven throughout—werewolves, witches, and others living among the humans. There are also cute animals that have their own unique personalities and magic. I loved how Evelyn’s world and Amber’s coexist and often parallel each other. They also meet at different times and places and are there for each other.

The story has a good flow as many storylines are woven together. There are clues to sift through, and Amber is always by David’s side, giving suggestions and support as he works on the case. Amber is the one who puts all the clues together and figures out whodunnit, which offers nice closure. There’s a blurb about Reed’s next book, and I look forward to reading it.

One Fine Day is a cozy mystery set in England. It features lots of magic and Beings of Magic, and I was looking forward to finding out whodunnit.

Steeping Brew Tea by Rosie Reed is the third book in the Cat Café Magical Mystery series. It’s a cozy paranormal mystery set in England that kept my interest throughout. There are colorful characters, especially those who are Beings of Magic.

There are murders to solve, and amateur sleuth Amber is right by the coppers’ side gathering clues to figure out whodunnit. One of those coppers is David. Amber would love to be romantically involved with him. But is the feeling mutual? Multiple stories are related, and the story has a good flow, which happens over a short timeframe of less than a week.

It was nice to return to Windsor, but even better, there was the crossover to Maiden Upon Avon, where we meet up with Amber’s cousin Evelyn and her love interest, DI Alex. There are clues to collect and suspects to be interviewed to figure out whodunnit. Amber always seems to be one step ahead of both David and Alex in gathering the evidence and figuring out what’s essential and what isn’t. There is magic, tea, food, small businesses sprinkled throughout, and plenty of animals. There is a nice closure, but the ending felt rushed.

Steeping Brew Tea is filled with magic, mayhem, murder, and several Beings of Magic. Grab a cuppa, sit back, and relax as you enjoy figuring out whodunnit.

What a great way to enjoy this series than by getting this three box book set, that way the fun doesn't have to end. First off it is a great continuation for the authors English village witch series and it even contains some of the characters that we have come to love. Both series works as a standalone but I think they will be even better when read together. This book contains delightful characters from a bus with a mind of its own to a talking cat, even a quick witted Angel and of course the main character Amber and her hunky vampire boyfriend are just a dream team and a good reason to sit back with a cup of tea and enjoy. Amber is a great main character, I especially like how she uses magic to help things along in the investigation but it doesn't always go as expected. A novice witch but super sleuth makes for an entertaining story. Each of the three stories are very very different and the main murders get wrapped up nicely but there is also a long running mystery which we learn a little bit about with each book. I love all the super natural characters living among the humans in such a famous place, its a fun spin and so well done it could even be possible
Book one Teacup and Sorcery
For Amber after being fired as a reporter by her boyfriend, the only thing to do is return to her home town and reconnect with her aunt. Returning home is never easy and it is even worse when your very first customer drops dead just after you serve him and the policeman investigating the death is a sort of ex boyfriend, David Van Danté. Then she learns that her estranged grandmother has just died but she has no time to morn. Her grandmother's ghost wants her to use her reporter skill to investigate, the dead man's son has disappeared with her dog. Will Amber have to solve the murder in order to find the missing dog. Only if she finally embraces her witchy skills and learns to trust David Van Danté.
Book two One Fine Cake
Amber who turned her back on magic after the disappearance of her parents, now wishes she could wield it like a pro. She wants to look into her grandmother's death and hopefully learn more about her parents but first she finds herself investigating the death of an American tourist. He was discovered on the hill near the castle and with Sergeant David Van Danté investigating Amber can't help but get involved, purely to stop a killer, of courses. Especially as things seem personal on this case with David having a history with one of the suspects and her best friend having feelings for another. Can Amber uncover the killer? Or will her Novice sleuthing skills and fledgling powers put her in harms way? Should she have stayed out of it like David requested?
Book three Steeping Brew Tea
When her best friend asks her to co captain a boat trip down the Thames, Amber jumps at the chance to relax and enjoy a free trip. Especially as she was the one to provide the celebration retirement cake. Unfortunately things don't go to plan and instead of retiring Rosemary is found dead with Amber's cake lodged in her mouth. Having met the murdered woman and all the possible suspects at the party, Amber can't help but get involved. Learning new spells during a murder investigation might not be the best time for the novice witch but can she find the killer? Then another body is found in the quaint village of Maiden-Upon-Avon and the deaths seem connected but what is the connection? It's up to Amber and her friends to figure it out before there is another death.

Book 2

These books are cute engaging and humorous also the way both Amber and Dante dance around there feelings is sweet and I like the historical facts the author weaves into her stories can't wait to see what Amber gets into in the next story with her Vampire Detective.

Book 3
Oh my Amber just wants to relax and have a good cup of tea or a glass of champagne on her friend Harry's day cruise but people have a way of turning up daisies when Amber's around and her cake is the criminal in this murder or is it. When a retirement party for the local florist goes wrong it really goes wrong and the local lead inspector is as daft as they come think goodness her hunky Vampire David Van Dante hes also on the case other wise Amber would already be arrested by and over eager crime scene eating Detective DI Fletcher. And there are more clues revealed about David's family and one very unpleasant suprise party poor David. Such a great series, so fun!

Per book:
1 Teacup and Sorcery - A fun story!
I really enjoyed it, it had just the right tone, humorous, lighthearted, bubbly-in-a-good-way! Not without depth, not at all, but never heavy. It gave me that excited feeling, when you know you’ve got a fun book in your hands. Just what this girl needed! Amber made me smile a lot, in fact, I smiled my way through the whole book. Some slapstick moments, I even laughed out loud a few times, truly never a dull moment! Amber is a tad awkward, yes, but she’s also smart, kind and fun. I love the characters, with the special mention of course for Marmelade Sandwich, Amber’s familiar; I adore him! The setting is awesome, charming and magical. And very English! The mystery was well developed and clever, and there is an overarching plotline that makes me want to read the next book NOW! Lol. Always a good sign!

2 One Fine Cake - I loved it, it was so fun!
The opening immediately pulled me in, seemingly effortless I was taken to this magical fictional world. Well, Windsor is real, of course, but the magic isn’t! Or is it? A charming setting and a bubbly, friendly main character who manages to capture the readers’ heart. She’s clumsy, which is endearing, and just fun to be around! But make no mistake, she’s smart too. This author has a very distinct, recognisable style: fun, bubbly, light-hearted, enthusiastic and with heart. Very much with heart! And humour! I love her sense of humour. The mystery was intriguing. I didn’t guess whodunnit! The mystery was well explained and well wrapped up. The whole book was exciting and vibrant! But cat familiar Marmelade Sandwich stole the show!

3 Steeping Brew Tea - It feels exhilarating! What an outstanding book!
The descriptions make me really feel it, feel like I’m there. The magic is imaginative, which I love. I continue to absolutely adore Amber, who is fun and bubbly, smart and relatable. She makes me laugh so much! Hilarious moments made this such a fun read! A bit silly at times, but a good silly. A fun silly. As awkward as Amber is, make no mistake, she is very smart! And of course talking cat Marmelade Sandwich is so cute! It has an easy-to-read feel and a natural flow. The mystery element is well developed, clever and twisty. Of course the mystery is quite serious, but the whole vibe is one of fun and lightheartedness. Love!

A totally enjoyable series!
book 1 Teacup and Sorcery
This is the first book of a delightful series. Not only one murder, but two. One of them happens to be Ambers' estranged grandmother, who appears to Amber as a ghost. She demands that Amber not get involved in the murder of the B&B owner, Tony, but, focus on finding her missing Corgi and solve who killed her and why. Having been away for ten years, many see her as new to town. However, not only is her ignored magic coming to life, she runs into her heart throb vampire, whom she has not seen in ten years. Her bestie from childhood, Henry is an angel with a trickster side. The imp in him makes him a great character in the book. I laughed quite loud and often. Starting this series is a wise choice of reading time.
book 2 One Fine Cake
Amber again has her plate full. Another murder of an American tourist said to be seeking 'THE' golden fleece his grandfather stole from the royal family. Rumored to have been hidden some where on castle grounds, his search crosses paths with a number of people. People who are now suspects in his murder. Amber is still warned not to investigate and her inquisitive personality brings her many clues. A whirl wind of info cascading towards her causes emotional questions, along with questions about where her parents are. Another page turner from Ms. Reed. Totally enjoyable!
book 3 Steeping Brew Tea
A retirement party river cruise that Henry is captain of the ship ends with the woman of the hour, the retiree, being found dead. Was it murder? was she poisoned? Amber had baked the cake and instantly the lead investigator has her eyes set on Amber. Not all at the party are suspects, but Rosemary's inner circle of family and friends fall under the suspect lime light. A delightful character base and story line how they all interconnect is truly done well. I found myself cringing, laughing and calling out with cheers. A magical pull into Ambers' town.

Amber Eldrich is back in Windsor having been sacked from her journalism job in London. She is helping out at her Aunt Vicky’s cat cafe when someone suddenly dies. She also recognised one of the cats as Marmalade Sandwich who she last saw as a kitten. Amber does not want to use her witchy powers, but, she has to learn them because her Grandmother’s ghost tells her to. Grandmother also left her a lovely cottage to live in. One thing she’s not too happy about is that David van Dante is now a detective & working on the case of the death in the cafe. Of course Amber gets caught up with magic & detecting. Another enjoyable read in this new branch of the Eldrich clan’s saga.

book 2 Once again Amber annoys Sergeant David as she wants to, & does, help investigate a murder of a young American man. He was found in the grounds of Windsor Castle. He was looking for The Golden Fleece that his great-uncle had stolen from the Castle many years before. Doing some sleuthing with the aid of her dog who picks up the scent of something & she finds it. Lots of magic & fortunately Amber had just learnt two clues which help save both her & David from being killed. Great fun & a very easy to read book.

book 3 Once again Amber is on hand when a murder happens! She’s on a boat trip down the River Thames to celebrate someone’s retirement. Sadly Amber finds the lady dead with a mouthful of the cake Amber had made for the occasion. There are several suspects & an oddity. Over in Maiden when Amber & David go to visit her cousin Evelyn, Evelyn’s fiancé says he’s got a murder to solve as well. Amber seems to think they are linked. Then another murder happens & Amber is in danger herself, but, all gets solved in the end. A very enjoyable read & looking forward to the next one

Amber is a novice witch only because she denied her powers as a teenager and is now forced to accept them because her grandmother was murdered and when she moves home, Amber starts working for a cat cafe and another person dies and as the police are investigating they start to get hints that the deceased was poisoned and Amber finds a talking cat that leads her to her grandmother's cottage and her ghost comes to Amber to tell her that her corgi is missing and it's related to her murder and the murder in the cat cafe. Amber decides to move to her grandmother's cottage and investigate. The characters in this boxset are amazing and well thought, I especially love Harry the Angel and Bert his enchanted bus that has a mind of his own. This boxset is amazing and I can't wait to read more from this author.

When one door closes another one opens. Amber losing her job was the best thing that could have happed, except for her grandmother being murdered. In the midst of finding out who done it, she starts to embrace her powers and delves into trying to solve the mysteries she keeps tripping into while managing to stay up beat. With the help from her best friend Harry, her kitty Marmalade, Aunt Vicky, her cousin and the handsome Detective Van Dante she manages to keep everyone on their toes and solve the mysteries ahead of her.
You cant help but feel like you are part of each story and makes you wish you were part of the merry gang solving mysteries in Windsor.

The characters in this entire series are mystical, magical and funny! They keep you guessing on who done it! It always seems like the main character Amber is ALWAYS the suspect. You are going to wonder if the Vampire detective will get a new boss. Will he? His supervisor is somewhat of a know it all nothing and you can just envision the smirks behind her back. Hints at her going away are evident and certainly making the vampire detective happy. I never enter spoilers so you'll have to read the books yourself and start the guessing from there. Happy Reading!

This is an phenomenal boxset of books. I really love Amber and David and the fluffy Cat familiar Marmalade Sandwich. Each mystery is well written and unique. I also loved her Grandmother the Ghost. She was so much fun. There's so many fun puns, witty banters and Magical Items like a Talking Apple and the Talking Tour Bus of Amber's bestie Harry is just so unique and not like anything I've read before. I highly recommend this boxset and the whole series to be honest.

This was an absolutely delightful mystery series! I love the characters who are so deliciously different from each other that they work well. Amber is my inner spirit, I swear! From what she says: “If it’s a severed head, I shall be very upset” to her whole fiasco involving the mud puddle outside Hyacinth’s B & B! I enjoyed the solstice ceremony and the bonding ceremony was hilarious. Not the ceremony but the mishaps. Marmalade Sandwich is an exquisite example of feline fluff.

Such an entertaining adventure in magical Windsor! Amber is overwhelmed on her first day back in her hometown working in her Aunt’s cat cafe, Paws for Tea. She hasn’t nurtured her magical abilities and now has met a talking cat and witnessed a death in just her first day! Maybe it’s time to get a grip on her abilities and accept her heritage after all! These are delightful books!
