*I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*
Well, after binge reading the first book and this one in only two days, I can definitely say that I love this series! It's a whole new twist on the paranormal stories that we're all used to. Sunday is the Incarnate, which basically means that she is an ultra powerful badass. It also means that there are other people constantly after her because of the aforementioned badassery. So basically, being the Incarnate is no fun. She has all these crazy powers, but little control over them, and is constantly fighting against a destiny she doesn't want. Enter Cyrus (commence swooning). He's her mate. Her werewolf mate who has some anger issues, but his devotion and physique more than make up for it. At the end of the first book, Sunday runs from Cyrus to, once again, pursue a somewhat normal life. Which, once again, fails miserably. I didn't think I could love Cyrus any more, but this book proved me wrong. The agony he goes through in Sundays absence is heart breaking. Sunday, on the other hand, kind of pissed me off in this one. Because of reasons. (Grrr) But, I guess I do understand where she's coming from... I just... I just want her and Cyrus to be happy and together and have lots of witchy-werewolf babies and live in a house made of candy and rainbows IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK???
Apparently. *sigh*
In closing, this series is only getting better. The plot is fast paced and unexpected. The new characters in this one were interesting and diverse. The main characters continue to develop, and are killing me slowly, but in the best way. <3 I definitely recommend it and I'll be eagerly awaiting the next one (fingers crossed for that candy house guys, fingers crossed...).
