Wilderness Rescue Tides of Love: A Sapphic Alaska Rescue Romance

Rate this book
Some days change your life forever. This is one of them.

Serena lives for adventure, but when a once-in-a-lifetime storm sweeps her into a dangerous rip tide off the Alaskan coast, she ends up stranded on a rocky outcropping, face-to-face with a cute, but unimpressed local.

Bree, a self-proclaimed Alaskan loner, wants nothing to do with the thrill-seeking surfer. But when the rising tide traps them, they’ll have to rely on each other to survive.

What starts as a fight for survival turns into something much more—one storm, one day, and an undeniable connection that neither of them saw coming. Bree’s calm heart and Serena’s carefree spirit couldn’t be more different, but maybe that’s exactly what they need.

The excitement of the rescue takes a backseat to the spark between them in this sapphic Opposites-Attract Romance.

Author’s Immerse yourself in the swoon-worthy love story, pulse-pounding rescue, and dose of forced proximity tension, Tides of Love delivers! Explore the heartwarming stories of the Wilderness Rescue Series for more standalone adventures in Alaska’s untamed wilderness.

Tides of Love by Harmony Noble is a short insta-love, like change your life after spending a day together kind of thing. It is also full of witty dialogue, tender moments, and shared vulnerability. Bree and Serena are fun, likable characters who, as opposites, challenge and balance one another.
This short but sweet small-town romance takes place in Kodiak, Alaska and the setting descriptions are lovely and help to bring the story to life.
Tides of Love is a standalone in the Wilderness Rescue series, of which I am a fan.
I love the covers in this series, too.

I received a free ARC from the author. This is my honest opinion.

I could picture really clearly the first few scenes. Which perhaps made it more disappointing when I then couldn't picture the next few when the mains conversed. Possibly because chapter 2 began 5 mins before chapter 1 but the conversations between the mains weren't the same. None the less I enjoyed the beginning.
The next 2 chapters do the same, different conversation/ different versions of the same conversations; not shatteringly different, "she said, she said" but it confuses me that both are telling the story but the stories don't match. Not a turn off but frown.
The chapters are alternate view point but this means there is a lot of "she" and "I", which, since I some times couldn't remember who's chapter it was, therefor found the voices a wee bit indistinct, which they shouldn't be as both mains have very diffrent backgrounds.
Having said all that, as the novella moves on, the alternate views continue as does a lot of "she" and "I", but I am not confused as much by who the I is, so perhaps it is not indistinguishable voices so much as they had not come in to focus for me at that point.
It's a short book, so a short run-in to love but I do feel the writers revealed a lot of the mains core values, so it doesn't feel unreal. I also love the slices of Alaskan life and land that are shared. I really love the love and respect that comes through for Alaska.
These books are a slice of happiness I recommend.

This is a lovely feel good book that makes you want to drop everything and fly to Alaska. Serena and Bree are semi-fleshed out for a shortish book although there was lots I’d still like to know about them.
The backdrop of Kodiak Island and the Atlantic are like a third main character highlighting that as beautiful and wild as the scenery looks there’s always a dangerous undercurrent lurking to trip up anyone stupid enough not to respect it.
That would be Serena aka Siren at the beginning.
She came, she saw, she surfed, then she got her arse saved but will she stay?

Siren was just planning to surf in Alaska, but will a crash change everything?
A sweet sapphic romance about finding yourself and what you want. Great storyline and wonderful characters.
I received a copy of this book from the author. I am leaving a voluntary and honest review.
