Life in Hollow Cove has finally settled down—or so I thought.
I’m ready to enjoy my new life with my newish husband, but apparently, peace and quiet just isn’t in the cards for me.
Enter Lilith—the Goddess of Night and Queen of the Netherworld—who shows up unannounced and demands a favor. Saying no isn’t really an option. I mean, how do you tell a literal goddess to shove it when refusing means she’ll kill you? So yeah, I agree.
Big mistake.
What she’s asking for is more than I bargained for, and I’m not sure I can go through with it. But if I don’t? Well, she’s made it clear I won’t live to regret it.
To top it all off, my aunts and I have been honored with an invitation to compete in the Arcane Summit—the most prestigious magical competition in our world.
Prestigious, sure. But it turns out these games are anything but fair, and they’re far more dangerous than anyone let on.
With a goddess breathing down my neck and deadly trials ahead, I’m running out of options. If I can’t pull off a miracle, I might not make it out of this alive.

Very cute!
A 4-hour read to chase away the blues on a stormy Sunday afternoon. Very cute, lots of funny dialog. A bit of Golden Girls meet Sabrina.

This was a good jump back into Tessa's crazy world.
Delores' character though made me want to give her a piece of my mind, usually she's a know it all and I have come to accept it but she was just a big ol' B this time.
The ending was definitely predictable, I was hoping for a little more creativity but the overall story was creative and different so I will take it.
Looking forward to the next read!

A battle of witches
This was another fun romp with the Davenport witches and their friends. Have to babysit a godling and compete in the ultimate witch competition is all in a weekend of fun. Look forward as always to more Hollow Cove adventures.

At this point, we know Delores is tall and don't need the descriptor every other page. I could go on about all the other characters but you get the point. The story is good but the writing is just very childish to be 15 books in. I read these books when I'm in between heavier books.

Another amazing book!
Yet another fantastic novel by Kim Richardson. I absolutely love these characters. Their personalities are full of humor, loyalty and determination. I can’t wait to read the next adventure.

La vie de Tessa n’est pas de tout repos. Alors qu’elle commence à apprécier sa vie de jeune mariée, voilà qu’elle est convoquée à une sorte de concours avec ses tantes. Il s’agit d’affronter des sorcières lors d’un championnat particulièrement violent. Notre héroïne ne voudrait pas y aller sauf que les sœurs Davenport insistent. Alors, elle doit s’entraîner le plus vite possible. Or, Lilith fait intrusion chez elle et lui casse littéralement les pieds. Elle lui confie son fils Samaël. L’insupportable créateur de Storybook est âgé de huit ans. Soi-disant, il ne se souvient de rien. Menacée, Tessa ne peut pas refuser. La voilà coincée : elle doit faire du baby-sitting avec un marmot insupportable et participer à des combats dangereux contre des sorcières. Rien ne va plus pour Tessa ?

Tout est bien qui finit bien parce que Tessa ne déteste plus Samaël et parvient à passer l’épreuve de ce baby-sitting vraiment mouvementé. Et c’est ce que le lecteur souhaite avec les sympathiques sorcières de Hollow Cove. C’est toujours aussi drôle et plein d’humour. Les chamailleries entre les tantes sont toujours amusantes surtout quand elles s’insultent. Beverly est traitée de prostituée sous tous les noms et Dolorès est moquée pour sa rigidité. Tous les types tombent aux pieds de la blonde séduisante et c’est amusant. Personnellement, cette fois-ci, je n’ai pas aimé l’incursion de Lilith dans le rôle de la casse-c* de service. Elle passe son temps à menacer une sorcière qui l’a pourtant délivrée. Quelle ingrate, celle-là ! Samaël, son fils est aussi insupportable qu’elle. C’est un peu du déjà-vu et même répétitif. Heureusement, la vilaine déesse rétablit la situation pour le meilleur. La suite au prochain épisode. Le style d’écriture du livre est du simple langage parlé. Produit en langage familier trop drôle, l’ouvrage se lit aussi rapidement que les précédents. Il est tout aussi distrayant, sans « prise de tête ». A conseiller aux lecteurs veulent passer un bon moment.

Tessa la niñera.
Si, la bruja Tessa tiene que cuidar un niño , Samael el niño dios, por un fin de semana. Las sorpresas, intrigas y acción no se hicieron esperar. No puedes perderte esta excelente aventura de Tessa Davenport.
