Leo Finding a Daddy to love isn’t easy when you’re surrounded by preschoolers and living in a city where hookups are easy. A single dad with a cute baby who needs me. How can I resist?
*** Leo is a standalone MM Holiday Romance in A Little Christmas Season 3 multi-author collaboration. Each book in A Little Christmas is a standalone where every little is silly, unique, lovable, and downright adorable, so why not read them all?
R.A. Frick is a queer author of steamy queer romance, often with angst, always with a HEA! Focusing on non-binary, trans, and gay characters is close to RA's lived experiences, though they have written everything from YA dystopian time travel to dark taboo romance, and added paranormal romance to their repertoire in 2025.
RA's books have been on multiple bestseller lists, and they are usually found writing with their corgi in Northern California.

* ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book was a surprise. I read a title by this same author, in this same series, A Little Christmas: Sawyer in 2022. It was terrible, confusing, meaningless, not good at all. So, this one was a good evolution of the author's plot development. It's blatant.
The beginning was monotonous, I wanted to give up, but then it got going and turned into a good holiday read.
It's a romance with themes of age difference, size difference, Daddy/Little, single father, meddling family, death of a relative, mental problem of a family member. No angst, no suffering, no cheating, no action or drama.
Leo, is 24 years old (I think), recently graduated in early childhood education, lives with his sister and nephew, who he has been babysitting since he was born. He got a job at the school where his nephew is going to study. Isaac is a successful financial consultant (I think. I read the book a few days ago and have read 4 more since then). Anyway, he is surprised by a baby at his door, who I soon discovered is his daughter. After some difficulties, his life gets into a routine with his daughter, but this is interrupted by the teething phase. The couple meets at the park where both children like to go. Soon, Isaac, who is straight, finds himself attracted to Leo, who starts helping with some advice to improve his routine with his daughter. And that's it. Nothing too deep or impactful or revealing, but a good story. Easy reading. Of course, not everything is roses and snow. We had some problems in the book. Names were changed. Information divergence from the beginning of the book to more than halfway through. It needs better editing. Dual POV. Leo and Isaac. Chemistry is good, but sex not so much. The BDSM dynamic is a bit strange, there is no good construction of the theme, it is kind of thrown in there, I found it a bit forced.
Absolutely adored this story! Issac ended up becoming a dad when his previous partner could not handle raising the daughter she had from their relationship. So he puts his dating life on hold to raise his beautiful girl, enter Leo a sweet man who helps him in his struggles as a single dad, making him question his attraction to a man for the first time. These three make a beautiful family full of love and support. This is a slow burn compared to other books I've read from RA, and I believe this was necessary for them to establish a strong bond before becoming intimate. Their dynamics are just beautiful, and hea, that is that perfect closing to a sweet story.
This was a sweet story. I liked how Leo and Isaac met. Their friendship grew after Leo helped Isaac when his daughter became ill. I liked how their relationship progressed throughout the book.
I love that Isaac didn’t let how he “thought” he identified control how he felt about Leo. I definitely appreciate the diversity in this story as well as the cutest slow burn!
Isaac is a man who just found out he was a father when his daughter is literally dropped on his doorstep. Learning the challenges of being a single parent is difficult at best. When Isaac meets Leo at the playground, while Leo is Mannying his nephew, and also studying early childhood education, it isn't hard to seek the young mans advice for all of his daughters issues. Isaac thinks he's straight, or has been all along, but there is just something about Leo, that makes it harder and harder to believe. This is the last book for the season, so we'll have to wait until next Christmas to read any more.
