Shifting Reality #3

Unavoidable Turbulence

Rate this book
When help is needed to evacuate paranormals from their homes to the strongholds, Boston Niska doesn’t hesitate to volunteer. They need more pilots and several jump right in, but Boston notices one in particular.

Gorgeous, delectable Seger Granite, who is nothing like the fairytales told about his kind. In fact, he is quite the opposite. Boston falls hard for the shy little pilot, hoping to help with the deep, unknown hurt Seger suffers from and keep his new man safe from all who want him.

Seger has a hard time coming to grips with what is going on in the world. All he wants to do is retreat to his family home and remain in the background, like he always has. But he can’t help but want to be with Boston and learn how to be a part of something—if he can convince Boston’s five meddling brothers that he’s worthy of Boston’s love.

Words, accusations, and misunderstandings litter their relationship in ways neither is equipped to handle. Will the two be able to pick up the pieces and find their way together, or will there forever exist unavoidable turbulence?

I admittedly haven't finished reading this book. I can't at the moment. The focus of the book is too much on the relationship. and seriously, the relationship happened at the click of fingers.....unrealistic, and that's a lot coming from me who loves fantasy novels. I really enjoyed the first two books, especially the first one, although I don't agree with the whole sharing your partner idea, but it had story aside from the relationship. I am over the whole sob story of Seger. I get the he is a troll and that they are usually solitary, but I just wish he'd get over his issues already. I mean he's already let Boston in to a point, so why stop there?...

And I feel I need to defend Boston's brothers, especially Seattle. He is just worried about his brother and I would rather have an over protective brother than a brother that didn't care about me.

I am just under half way through the book, but so far I am not liking the shift away from the storyline of the extermination of all paranormals. The focus has shifted too much to the story of Seger and Boston. Yes, I want to know about Seger and Boston, but I really want to know about what's happening to all other Paranormals too.

Read it for yourself. I rarely judge a book by what others had said bad about it as what one person doesn't like another likes. So read it for yourself and maybe one day I will finish it and change my review.

Boom

This is the third book in the series. As I established it went boom. What it was the best so far. why? because it did everything I look for in a book series. Kept up with the series. Had previously mentioned characters and kinda updated them. I like know what happened after their book is over. I laughed out loud several times, and once so hard I cried. Then I actually cried because Flynn made this story so real to me I felt it. Then, it gave a somewhat ending to this specific book, but keeps you waiting and wanting the next release.

Flynn Eire keeps the suspense flowing in this 3rd installment to her newest series. The tension is rising with the conspiracy to wipe out the Paranormals.

I loved the main character Seger a man born to fly, I thought the take on his paranormal nature was interesting and very well done. Boston is an interesting man willing to anything for his family and the new man in his life.

I really like this series and am eagerly waiting for the next book.

Too much angst for me, and I happen to enjoy angst a lot of the time. Interesting troll love interest and I did like the troll abilities, but ugh, Boston was such a wanker. And the back and forth in this relationship made me want to poke my eyes out with a spork.

I loved Seger! I felt so bad for him. It was nice to see him gain some confidence and stand up for himself in the end. Glad to see some of my favs from the previous books. I love the direction this series is going. It's just a great read. Definitely one of my favorite authors. :)
