Is this story unique? No. Is this a healthy relationship? No. Is there an ungodly amount of miscommunication but I can’t stop reading this and stayed up until 5am reading this? Unfortunately yes. To be fair, the art is gorgeous, but every time I think it’s going to get better something else arises to cause a new miscommunication issue. I’m currently like 49 chapter into this whole series and I’m still unsure if I’m going to finish it.

ZERO STARS - TOXIC!
This is so bad- it glamourises and romanticises a toxic relationship fraught with jealousy, lack of communication and controlling partners, and what's worse is that it all began with forced seduction. Do not read it if you value your time and the quality of the literature (if we can call this literature) you consume. The story does not have a coherent, strong plot, as a story should- all it consists of is the torrid, unhealthy relationship between the main characters and everything that is done to keep them apart. It's really cringy, and gives me second-hand embarrassment to read about all the characters talking about how dragon intimacy is fatal. Half the time they talk about sexual themes, and we could all do with a bit less indecency in our lives.

I read it on webtoon. And I pretty much like it. The art work is so good. The character development is nice. Over all it's a good read.

Ich bin ja schon länger um diesen Manwha herumgeschlichen und war mir echt unsicher, aber ich konnte jetzt meine Neugierde nicht länger zügeln und habe mir die ersten beiden Bände geholt.

Was soll ich sagen? Ich bin absolut nicht enttäuscht. Die Geschichte Lucina und Harlan hat mir gut gefallen, die Fallstricke und Intrigen sind nicht zu unterschätzen. Garette könnte ein wirklich gutes Leben führen, wenn sie nicht von ihren eigenen Ambitionen und ihrer trügerischen Gier geblendet wäre. Aber das sieht sie leider nicht. Sie nutzt jeden zu ihrem eigenen Vorteil aus. Das kann meiner Meinung nach hoffentlich nur in einem ziemlichen Drama enden.

Il aborde des thèmes classiques comme le mariage arrangé, la découverte de soi et la confrontation à l’inconnu. L’intrigue de ce livre est captivante et envoûtante. Une fois que tu ouvres la première page, il est 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 de quitter cet univers.

Nous suivons l’histoire d’une jeune fille, Lucina, qui est maltraitée dans sa famille illégitime. Elle endure jour et nuit les humiliations constantes de la part de sa famille. Elle désire qu’une seule chose, fuir, et vivre enfin. Quand un événement vient tout chambouler, elle devra apprendre à vivre sans survivre. Cette histoire est vraiment totalement 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲.

✧ 𝐋𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬
Luciana est une héroïne très 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗱𝗲 et 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲̀𝘁𝗲 marquée par un passé difficile. L’évolution de son personnage est magnifique. À la rencontre du roi dragon, elle devient plus forte, plus sur d’elle. Leur histoire est l’élément central de l’histoire. Le roi dragon est un personnage puissant avec un passé très sombre et triste. Il ne désire pas donner son cours, et pourtant… Chaque homme fort à ces 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀.

✧ 𝐋’𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐡𝐞́𝐭𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞
La qualité du livre est un point fort. Les graphismes sont 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘀. Les illustrations sont tellement colorées, réalistes avec des touches de « kawaii ». Cela rend la lecture beaucoup plus fluide et agréable. Les dessins sont tellement bien pensé qu’ils nous plongent dans une immersion totale.

Uh, das hat mir viel viel besser gefallen, als ich zuerst dachte. Lucina ist anderen Menschen gegenüber sehr schüchtern und wirkt sehr unterwürfig (was daran liegt, wie sie in der Vergangenheit behandelt wurde), doch sie will mehr aus sich herauskommen und mutiger werden. Mit anderen Wesen wie Feen oder Drachen hat sie keine Probleme, da sprudeln die Wörter regelrecht aus ihr heraus! Hakan ist der Drachenkönig und wirkt sehr imposant (natürlich auch sehr attraktiv.. 😌💦), da würde jeder erstmal sehr klein laut werden. Doch hinter der harten Schale scheint sich ein weicher Kern zu verstecken..

Der Artstyle und die Charakterdesigns sind sehr cool, der Plot ist spannend und das Pacing ist auch sehr gut gewählt. Man wird zwar teils direkt ins Geschehen geworfen, bekommt aber auch genügend Infos zu den Charakteren, so dass die einem nicht so fremd vorkommen. Mir gefallen die gegensätzlichen Wesen von Lucina und Hakan und bin gespannt, wie's mit ihnen weitergeht!

I've never seen Game of Thrones, but I got such vibes from the story of this dragon lady. Forgive me, I've never seen the series. I like Lucina, and she comes across as so authentic after everything she's been through. I think Hakan is great as her counterpart; I like him, and you can see that he's been through a lot too. I'm definitely going to get volume 2 because I'm so interested to see if Lucina finds her way back to her old self. I would be happy if the two of them were happy, and honestly, Garret should be put in his place. I really don't like him because I feel sorry for Hakan's brother because of her.

Petite découverte de ce Webtoon grâce à ma fille aînée et c’est un sans faute. Que ce soit l’histoire de Lucina mariée au roi dragon de Tayardafin de sauver son frère et sa belle-mère, ou celle d’Hakan héritier de la couronne qui recherche assidûment la petite fille qui l’a soignée sous sa forme de dragon. Tout est intense dans cette histoire. Sans compter sur l’intrigue qui est captivante et qui promet de beaux moment de suspense. Les dessins sont agréables à regarder surtout Hakan 😍. Je vais de ce pas commencer les tomes suivants.

good? no. but very pretty. i like that the MMC has emotional conflict and feelings but things are pretty one note. i don’t like that the plot is just based off of no one communicating and the resolution is literally so simple. and i wish we saw more dragon

I was enjoying it—even with the miscommunication trope since it makes sense from both parts. However, while the art is lovely and I'm kind of curious to know how it continues... It's toxic. Unnecessary jealousy, miscommunication taken to dumb levels, etc.

This is a really strange one, it's well drawn generally but there's so many baffling story decisions that I struggled between giving this a 2 or 3 stars.

"The Dragon King's Bride" starts with our MMC raiding the castle of the FMC's family (she's the daughter of a prostitute and her "mother" is actually her step-mom who abuses her). He brutally kills a bunch of no-names and his skin is of a darker color than his enemies, his people are simply called "barbarians" by her family. So you know how this series is going to handle race.

He then marries the very white (literally) FMC who behaves like an abused child, doesn't know that she's pretty and hasn't been treated well for one second of her life. He immediately kisses her against her wishes and says that she must bear his child to be a real queen and then we learn that child bearing usually (!) ends in the death of the dragon wife.
And this wife here is extra fragile because of her past.

So.
Generally I'd recommend this if you are just thirsty for some drama and art that looks good, but keep in mind that it will be the annoying kind of drama, like a character not telling another something for bs reasons or an evil lady being evil just because she can.
And uncomfortably icky as the main evil lady is the guy's sister in law, and he'll always talk about her and his brother's relationship because he admired him so much.

The MMC is "a nice guy", but disappears for weeks without telling her and despite being king he does nothing against the evil women in the castle she's forced to live in. Not to mention that he's dumb as bricks because he doesn't wonder why a mother would give up her child that easily... obviously something has to be wrong there.

I liked that she has an ally in her servant Titi and that there's some mystery about her magical abilities and a forest sprite she befriends. And the dragons.

I dunno it wasn't the worst webtoon, really, it just left me in some kind of "huh so that was that" mood.
