Ahhh this was like coming home I love Good Hope Another heartwarming romance I just want to live in a community like this As I happen to love Christmas too this was spot on So many activities going on people so warm helpful and friendly and those parties well I can dream In a world where so many are rushing through life thi story slows us down and helps us reevaluate the important things Goodbye Good Hope I shall miss you or maybe start the series all over again ❤️
Revisiting Good Hope is always such a pleasure, being able to visually immerse in this fictional town brings a warmness to me. In this final book in the Good Hope series we meet Roe and Boone. Two individuals who are stepping into Good Hope temporary. Krew and Dakota(who we met in the book Reunited in Good Hope ) lend out their home to Roe and Boone without the other family member knowing about it and both individuals end up at the house in shock of one another. Roe and Boone decide to compromise since the home is so big and both stay. As with the Good Hope series main theme there is always a function happening and this being the Christmas season they are balls, party and Glady's the matriarch of the town 100th birthday which is celebrated by the town. I thought Ms. Kirk did a great job by introducing to us again in this story the first couple in this series and the rest of the sisters who the series started with was a great touch to the story, and setting up Callum and Briann interaction for the next Good Hope spinoff was also a fabulous touch.

Christmas is in full swing in Good Hope. Sharing a cabin isn’t what either Roe or Boone had planned, but they quickly discover that there is no better place than Good Hope to embrace the magic of the season and to fall in love. I absolutely loved this book, the characters, plot, setting, etc. And this series is one of my all-time favorites. I mentioned in one of my other book reviews that I would move to Good Hope if it were a real place because the people and the setting and everything about it lightens my heart. I am sad that this series is ending, but I'm hopeful that the new series will continue on in the same vein. I want to thank Cindy Kirk for all of her stories that lighten my heart and give me hope for a future that's a little kinder.
This reads like a predictable Hallmark movie. The characters and their romance were not well developed. The town setting was picturesque and cozy. The pace was rather slow, but that matched the cozy book setting well. There was no real plot as you could predict the outcome by a few chapters in. It was a cute and cozy read, but the predictability and not well developed characters/romance made this something I would not recommend or reread.
There is no place like home for the Holidays in Good Hope! This is a wonderful story taking place in a small town where strangers are friends they haven’t met and got to know yet. I loved the characters old and new and found it easy to get immersed in the holiday happenings.
Rosalie Carson, who is also known as Roe, has lost her job and apartment. Her friend, Dakota, has offered to let Roe stay at her family’s cabin to contemplate her options for the future. She gladly accepts the offer and has decided to stay until Dakota’s wedding in February. The fun starts when Roe finds an intruder staying at the cabin. After calling the police and talking with the unexpected guest, they find that Dakota’s dad, Krew, invited Jason Boone to stay at his cabin while Jason recuperates from an injury playing football for the Grizzlies football team. Once their stories were confirmed by Dakota and Krew and apologies were made for the mix-up, Roe and Jason decided to share the large cabin as neither wanted to be alone for the holidays.
Roe and Jason meet the people of this charming town as they explore the Christmas festivities. Making friends and memories and trying to fight off attractions for each other. This can only be a short-term relationship but the heart speaks louder than the mind. Of course, in this special town we have the 3-resident matchmakers by the names of Gladys Bertholf, who is soon to be 100 years old, Ruby Rakes and Katherine Spencer. I enjoyed the banter of these three women and the fun of preparing for the celebration of Gladys birthday. The three matchmakers have their eyes on Roe and Jason and do what they can to help the relationship move along. I love how Gladys reminded everyone at her birthday celebration to be kind and always remember the importance of love and family.
Another charming Christmas story by Cindy Kirk taking place in Good Hope. I highly recommend this sweet romance that is like a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter’s night. This story is guaranteed to warm your heart.
It is the time of year when I love to read Christmas themed books and Cindy Kirk is the best for those type of stores. Once again Cindy, did not disappoint with the writing of Celebrate In Good Hope.
Two new characters that include Rosalie Carson (Roe) and Jason Boone. Roe recently had been invited to Good Hope by her good friend Dakota after being laid off from her job in Minnesota. In turn Dakota’s dad, Krew, who was a NFL coach for a team in Denver invited his star player who had been injured and had major surgery to recuperate there in Good Hope. Little though, did Dakota and Krew knew, was that they each invited Roe and Jason to stay at the family cabin.
After Roe and Jason have the surprise meet up at the cabin they come to an agreement (with the size of the cabin) that they could both stay and cohabitate without getting into each other’s way at least through the 1st of the year.
Slowly both Roe and Jason decide to enjoy the holiday season as it is there in Good Hope and enjoy it together. With this holiday season also comes the big 100th Birthday celebration of the town’s matriarch, Glady’s which includes a play of her life. With Roe’s theatre experience she is asked to help with the production and eventually Jason is asked to help out himself.
Throughout this time, back in each of their minds is Roe’s need to find a new job (where she could end up who knows where) and Jason’s need to get stronger in his rehab to enable him to return to the team.
But, can the attraction that Roe and Jason have for each other be ignored? Can they enjoy their time together and come to the realization that it is more than a holiday fling? Can they open up to each other that they each want a future with each other?
Read and enjoy this last book of the Good Hope series. So sad that there will not be any more stories or new characters of Good Hope. But as they always say “All good things have to come to an end”.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it.
I love all the Good Hope Novels. I fell in love with Ami and Becket in Book one and was hooked. This chapter in the Good Hope story took me back to that first book. I believe you can read the Good Hope Novels as stand-alone, but I really think this is great as your first or last Good Hope Story. This story starts with us meeting Roe. She isn't from Good Hope by is staying at a friends house while she is between jobs. Roe has a part time job at Muddy Boots and has a run in with a customer, like ran into him with hot soup. When Roe gets back to the cabin she is staying in she find a stranger and calls the cops. We come to find out the house was double booked by the family and our other house guest happens to be the poor man Roe covered in soup. Roe decides that she can share the house and doesn't kick the man out. Jason Boone (just Boone) is an NFL player who is recovering from surgery and needed some R&R and his coach offered him his family cabin in Good Hope. He hopes he can relax and recuperate in peace. Boone and Roe start as just being roommates, but fate (and maybe Gladys and her friends) seem to have a different idea. Christmas in Good Hope is a magical time and both Roe and Boone and not immune to its charms. While we watch Roe and Boone start a relationship they are both forced to face the cross roads their lives are at and make decisions that are suddenly harder now that they have met each other and found Good Hope. Also during this time the town is getting ready to celebrate Gladys 100 birthday. She is still as vivacious as ever. While I am sad to know that this chapter in the Good Hope Series is over, this was a great ending and book ends so well with book one (Christmas in Good Hope). It was fun to see so many of our old friends showing up, but since both Boone and Roe are new to Good Hope, it's perfect for new readers. I am excited for the next chapter and can't believe this is book 22!
All Rosalie Carson wants for Christmas is to get back on her feet. After losing her apartment and her job, Roe is on the verge of being ho-ho-homeless. Out of desperation, she accepts a friend’s offer to stay at her family’s cabin in the woods outside Good Hope. Roe is looking forward to a quiet Christmas alone. Only when she arrives back one evening she finds a man in the cabin. Not any man, Boone the 8 times season star of the NFL. He's hot, he is gorgeous and it turns out he has a heart of gold. Allowing him to stay, Roe decides is the only choice. It's cold, dark and late and he is recovering from a spleen rupture. Can these two work it out after a chilly first encounter. What is not to like about this book? Good Hope is the perfect location for the holidays with fun, warm and fuzzy characters that make you feel part of the atmosphere. It is touching, sweet and utterly romantic. The banter is light and uplifting. Roe and Boone are both strong, independent people who find themselves inexplicably drawn to one another. I loved how this book made me feel. Like a warm blanket on a cold night. Kirk draws you powerfully in having you invested in her characters from the off. Roe is in need of holiday cheer now finding herself single and sweet, handsome Boone needs a lift after his injury. But what will these two decide to do once the holidays are over. He has a place in Denver and a promising career to continue with. Roe receives two job offers - one in Good Hope and on in Texas. Will they follow their hearts. Oh my heart, this books was amazing from start to finish and now I have to go back and read the series in order. Know that it doesn't matter if you haven't read the series from the beginning, this book can be read as a standalone. The author keeps you on track with back stories as she goes. A fantastic book to wrap up with and binge read. Kerry Kennedy Author
The perfect ending to a wonderful series. Good Hope is where it all started for me. Good Hope led me to Ms. Kirk and hooked me on any and everything she writes. I will always be a fan, but the ending of this series is bittersweet. I fell in love with this town and all of the wonderful characters. Let’s get into the final installment of this wonderful series. Rosalie Carson is a friend of Dakota Slattery. She was in Good Hope for Dakota’s upcoming wedding. Roe was given a place to stay and was working a Muddy Boots. In walks all of our favorite characters. Roe is looking for a job as a theater production manager after being unexpectedly laid off from her previous job. She had applied to several jobs but none had panned out. Roe had somewhere to stay until February.
Jason Boone is a player for the Colorado Grizzlies, the football team that Dakota’s father, Krew, coaches. He suffered a bad injury and decided to go to Good Hope to recuperate. Unbeknownst to them, Jason was also promised the use of the Slattery cabin. Roe and Jason decided to be adults and live harmoniously. The strangers quickly became friends with the hint of more. As is the Good Hope way, both Jason and Roe were recruited to help around town. A huge event was coming up and the town was pulling out all the stops. Gladys Bertholf’s 100th birthday was being celebrated at the end of the year with a play about her life.
Jason and Roe were not the only focus of this book. There was a lot going on, but they were always in the background. Will these two move beyond a friendship? Decisions have to be made by both Jason and Roe. Both are at a crossroads. Will their roads continue to cross or will they live separate lives? I loved this ending to this wonderful series. All of the books in this series can be read separately. Please take a chance on this small town. Fall in love with Good Hope.
I love returning to Good Hope, especially at this time of year. Ms Kirk has done it again with the final book in this series. Christmas time in Good Hope is the place to be & this book is no exception.
This time round we meet Roe & Boone. Both are temporarily in Good Hope for the holidays; Roe to stay until Valentines Day to be a bridesmaid for Dakota’s wedding & Boone to recover from surgery.
Roe & Boone are staying at Krew Slattery’s cabin just outside of Good Hope due to a mix up in communication. Both are happy to stay as the cabin is plenty big enough for the both of them. They end up partaking in events and functions in Good Hope for the Festive season and, like all the other characters before them, eventually fall in love.
Celebrate in Good Hope not only see Christmas being celebrated but the 100th birthday of the town’s matriarch, Gladys Bertholf. Gladys along with Ruby Rakes and Katherine Spencer are the town’s matchmakers and enjoy helping along the way with Roe and Boone’s blossoming romance.
Although this is the last book in the current Good Hope series, it is by no means any less worthy. Returning to Good Hope one last time is like returning to your favourite spot on the couch with a blanket and cup of hot chocolate. It will leave you feeling warm & fuzzy.
Celebrate in Good Hope is the 22nd and final installment in The Good Hope series but each novel can be read as a stand alone story but I suggest reading the previous stories for a little character background on the secondary characters but also for the pure entertainment and delight of a wonderful series. Rosalie (Roe) Carson has come to Good Hope to regroup while she tries to figure out what to do with her life now that she has lost her job in Milwaukee. Her best friend, Dakota, is getting married in a couple of months and offered Roe the use of her cabin until the wedding. Krew Slattery, the coach of The Grizzlies NFL team and part-time resident of Good Hope has told Jason Boone, one his players that he could re-cooperate in his log cabin unaware that his daughter has given it to a friend. Boone suffered a major hit in a game and had to have surgery, he is frustrated with the time it is taking to heal but when he meets Roe, his attitude begins to change. Roe agrees to allow Boone to stay since it is a 5 bedroom cabin and as the two work together, their feelings begin to develop but each is afraid to commit knowing that this arrangement is only temporary. This is a story of love, friendship, finding home and celebrating the joys of season as well as the community and people we have met along the way. I am truly going to miss this series because each book was like meeting up with old friends for some laughs, cheer and holiday spirit. Thank you Cindy Kirk for creating this wonderful town with amazing characters.
I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher but all thoughts and feelings are my own.
It is always great to go back to Good Hope. Characters have evolved and aged but like an old friend, it has stayed the same.
Rosalie (Roe) Carson and Jason Boone both are staying at the Slattery cabin in Good Hope as Roe is licking her wounds after losing her job in Minneapolis (and waiting for Dakota Slattery's March wedding) and Boone is rehabing his football injury. Both embrace the nature of the small town and all of the Christmas activities, but soon discover that the friendship has turned into love. They know that their is an end date to the romance, as Boone needs to go back to Denver for his job and Roe is looking for work and has applied for a position in Texas.
Roe ends up accepting a new job in Good Hope as the theatrical manager and Boone decides that Roe is worth retiring from football and moves to Good Hope to be with her.
Established characters play pivotal roles in their love story including Gladys, whose 100th birthday we are celebrating, the Bloom sisters as well as their children and there is even an appearance by the relationship cards.
Wow what a fabulous story. I love visiting with the townspeople of Good Hope, especially Gladys who’s celebrating her 100th birthday on New Year’s Eve.
Boone and Roe find themselves in Good Hope after having their lives upended.
Roe loses her job and apartment so Dakota who’s about to be married offers her dad’s cabin until her Valentine’s Day wedding so she can hopefully sort her life out. Boone an NFL football player suffers an injury that will sideline him for the rest of the season so Krew offers his cabin for him to recuperate in. The snag is they fail to tell Boone and Roe so they end up sharing the cabin.
Boone and Roe attend many holiday events and grow close. Then Roe is offered two job offers, one in Good Hope and another in Texas. Boone is upset so returns to Denver before she makes her decision. Along the way we have are reacquainted with several Good Hope characters. This was a fabulous story as all the Good Hope books are and I can’t wait to read the next generation stories
When I saw that this is the final installment in Good Hope I was a little sad. I started reading this series with a Christmas story and it is fittingly ending with a Christmas story. This was a sweet story of falling in love without really trying. Boone and Roe met in a way that could have definitely deterred any type of relationship, and maybe would have if not for the fact that they ended up being put together in the same cabin, unknowingly. I enjoyed the progression of their relationship and happening through Christmas season made it even more special.
One of the things through this entire series is getting to "know" different people. It was nice that this included Ami, Fin and Marigold, with some appearances of others we have gotten to know. And, having Gladys being highlighted for celebrating her 100th birthday was an added bonus. She has been THE constant in the entire series. After all, where would we be without her?
I have received an ARC for my honest review of this book.
Rosalie (Roe) Carson moved to Good Hope when she was downsized. She is friends with Dakota Slattery and was given permission to stay at her family’s cabin until Dakota’s Valentines Day wedding. She is grateful for a place to stay while she is job hunting.
Jason Boone is a player for the Grizzlies football team. He moved to Good Hope to recover from an injury incurred during a game. He was given permission to stay at the family cabin by Krew, Dakota’s dad.
Dakota and Krew didn’t know that the other had given someone else permission to stay at the cabin. So Krew is surprised to get a call from the Good Hope sheriff. Roe had gotten off work at her temporary job at Muddy Boots to find a strange vehicle parked in front of her temporary home. Sheriff Rallis escorted Roe to the cabin so they could get everything sorted out.
Will Roe let Boone stay? If she does, will they just be friends or will their feelings develop into something more?
Another in incredible novella by the amazingly talented Cindy Kirk. The final instalment in the Good Hope series, I devoured them all. This novella is another page turner that you will not want to put down. A beautifully written and heart warming read.
Primarily about two new characters, Rosalie Carson (Roe) and Jason Boone (Boone), and also the wonderful townsfolk of Good Hope. It is Christmas time, time to celebrate the festive seaso. And Glays’s 100th birthday. After individual unfortunate events, both Roe and Boone find themselves staying at a cabin in Good Hope. As the story unfolds, both Roe and Boone become a part of the community.
I highly recommend you reading this novella and all the novellas in the Good Hope series. You will become immersed in the lives of each character. Filled with life lessons every novella is an amazing read.
It’s time to get cosy, grab a blanket and a cup of hot chocolate. Settle down to delve into the lives of the townsfolk of Good Hope.
I love a good no angst/low angst feel good small town holiday romance. Revisiting Good Hope brings a smile. Its like touching base with friends you haven't seen in a while.
Boone and Roe's romance felt a little surprising although so knew it was coming. They started off with a touch hesitantly, and I was thinking it might be a slow burn. Something seemed to click for them and their romance blossomed from friendship to something more.
I enjoyed the description Good Hope and all of the holiday festivities. I also enjoyed how welcoming and accepting the people of Good Hope are to people in their community as well as new people. It would be nice if the world were really like that.
I wish that I could have gotten a little.more time with Boone and Roe. At least to see her reaction to what he had done. This was a sweet, romantic holiday romance.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Welcome back to Good Hope! I just love how Cindy Kirk brings back characters from previous books. In Celebrate in Good Hope we meet Roe (Rosalie) Carson, she's new to Good Hope and has just started a job at Muddy Boots as a server. She came from Minneapolis where she worked for a children's theater. When the company was downsizing she lost her job. Dakota, Roe's friend gave her the use of the family cabin while she's there. Next meet Jason Boone, he's from Denver and is in Good Hope to recover from a football injury while playing on the Grizzlies. He stops in at Muddy Boots for dinner when he gets to town he has his first encounter with Roe. After rushing out of Muddy Boots he heads to the Cabin his coach has offered him to recover in. It seems the cabin has been overbooked. Both Boone and Roe have some decisions to make regarding their future. Will fate keep them together or tear them apart? Read to find out! Enjoy! I know I did!
I was quite sad thinking this would be my last visit to Good Hope. This has been one of my very favourite series and I feel as though these characters are my friends. It was so lovely to be back in Good Hope and to catch up with all of our favourite families......and the youngsters forging their own way.
But back to Celebrate in Good Hope. This was yet another fabulous story from Ms Kirk, she just knows how to draw you in and keep you hooked. Roe and Boone were thrown together by a mix up with their cabin and thank goodness Roe gave Boone a chance to stay. Their love story was a perfect end to the series......and with that I think I may have to go back to the beginning!
Bravo Cindy, this has been an absolutely wonderful, life affirming series and I am sad it has come to and end, but am excited for whatever comes next.
This is like reading a Hallmark channel Christmas story where the main characters will have problems to get through before they find their happily ever after. Roe and Boone's story has elements that people can relate to in real life. Roe was downsized, and Boone is out with an injury. She's trying to make herself helpful in Good Hope while hoping those contacts will help her find a new job. Boone doesn't know how to sit still, and so is struggling a bit to rehab slowly. As in any Good Hope story, the community tugs him in. I can't imagine the series without the matchmaking trio of Gladys, Katherine, and Ruby and their shenanigans. The town is one you wish were real as the sense of community, kindness, and friendly people make it a place you'd like to live. A must-read for when you need some happiness in your life.
I have had the honor of being on the review crew for Cindy since book 2 of the Good Hope series and I can't believe our time with these residents has come to an end at book 22, although we are not done in Good Hope.
I love this town and the heart that everyone in it has, I have enjoyed seeing everyone grow their families and find their happily ever afters. I can not wait to see where the new chapter will take us. This was a very fitting end for Gladys and the ladies, I will definitely miss them, but I have no doubt that they will be brought up in conversations as we get to glimpse at the children's lives later on. Roe and Boone came together so organically it was sweet to see, you could tell they just meshed together from the very first time they met.
Thank you again to Cindy Kirk for allowing me an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.
Oh, Good Hope! How I wish this was a real place I could move to. This installment of the series was about following your dreams and staying true to yourself. This series is one of my favorites. I love being able to just fall into a community that loves and respects each other. Sadly, Celebrate in Good Hope is the last of series, but I can see myself going back and reading the series again from the beginning.
In addition to following the main couple, this book also focuses on Gladys. Oh Gladys, I love you and your group of friends. It was so fun to see a little more of them in the book and get to celebrate Gladys and all she is!
I highly recommend this book to someone looking for a hopeful book. It is part of a series, but you don’t need to read them all in order (but I recommend doing so, a lot of character reappear in each book).
What a great read to end this series! Roe needs a place to stay, needs to find a new job, and is in a February wedding. She is off to stay in Good Hope at her friend's family cabin until after the wedding. Will she be able to find a job over the holiday season? What will she do while job hunting? Jason has been injured playing professional football and now needs to recuperate. His coach sends him to Good Hope, to the family cabin for rest. Yes, the same family cabin - daughter and dad didn't chat about the use of the family cabin. Wonderful story as Roe and Boone begin to "heal", get to know Good Hope, get know each other, and where better to spend Christmas. This has been a great series and I have enjoyed being an ARC reader for this run and writing my reviews freely. Looking forward to what is next for Good Hope!
How do you say goodbye to a beloved series? Well you don’t. Not really. The stories are always there for you to look back at. Sure, you’re not going to read about the current hijinks of the Good Hope gang but know that there’ll be some things happening. This series was so special to me. Came about a time that I needed something to give me a smile in my life and the stories were something I would always look forward to. That being said, the current story about Roe and Boone was about finding your place and person. Setting down roots and finding love. It was great to read about Gloria reaching her 100th and celebrating in style. The style we’ve grown to love. Reading about the other couples we fell in love with, and their growth arcs. Thanks to Ms.Kirk for an amazing series.
I love Good Hope and am always happy to visit there. I'm sad this is the last one, but happy I can go back and revisit any time. Ro and Jason are both in Good Hope to rest and reevaluate. I like how they start out slow and gradually build a friendship, then have to really think about whether or not a relationship could work if they're not in the same place. I loved that Jason realized that dreams aren't meant to last forever, and new dreams are just as good. Loved seeing familiar characters, especially Gladys, and was grateful to be part of her 100th birthday. Friendship, love, and happily ever after all tied up beautifully in this very satisfying story.
Perfect conclusion to a great series! Christmas is beautiful in Good Hope. Roe is to stay at Dakota’s dad’s new home during Christmas and is looking for a new job. Boone is recovering in Good Hope from a football injury at his coach, Krew’s, new home. Guess what? Krew is Dakota’s dad. It was double booked! It was a big house so they decided to share, and you know how that will turn out. All this coincides with Gladys’s 100th birthday celebration. Together they fall in love with Good Hope, and each other, but they are only here for a time, not forever. Of course, there is a HEA. I highly recommend this fun, romantic book. Now is time for a reread of the entire series, it was that good.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book & voluntarily reviewed it for the author. The Good Hope series is a favorite of mine. Every time I read a new book, it’s like coming home. Rosalie “ Roe” Carson has come to Good Hope after losing her job. Boone has come to Good Hope to recover from a football injury. Without knowing it, both of them are booked to stay in the same cabin. At a crossroads in their lives, they both have to make decisions about what to do next & where. In the book, you will see familiar faces pop up. The only thing I didn’t like is this will be the last book in the series. Thanks to the author for many hours of enjoyable reading!
What a wonderful way to end this series. This is the 22nd book in the series, and I loved getting to know all of the inhabitants of Good Hope. Rosalie, aka Roe, Carson has just lost her job and her good friend Dakota is letting her use her family cabin in Good Hope while she looks for a new job. Of course, Dakota’s father Krew (coach, and former NFL player for the Denver Grizzlies) also let one of his players, Jason Boone use the cabin to recuperate from an injury. Since this is a pretty big “cabin”, they agree to share their space. They develop a wonderful relationship, and there is no major tension, other than their lives may take them to different parts of the country. I loved catching up with all of the great characters from this series, Gladys and the meddling grannies, the Blooms, and everyone else. This is a nice, sweet end to a lovely series. I received an arc of this book from the author for my honest review.
Celebrate in Good Hope is the final book in this delightful series. I’ve read this entire series and loved them all. In this final trip to Good Hope I was filled with nostalgia and delight with all supporting characters I’ve grown to love. Then I met Roe and Boone who became accidental roommates who shared a near instant connection that quickly became a romantic entanglement. Their story was sweet, both characters were at major crossroads and never expected the town of Good Hope to help ease their journeys into their next chapters with so much promise. I think it was perfect to end this series with one final Christmas romance!
I have read every Good Hope book since the first installment and have come to look forward to visiting the town and catching up with its residents so imagine my shock to learn that this is the last installment in the series. I am usually left very satisfied by these books and while this was a fantastic way to wrap it up, I must admit that I don't feel as happy and light as usual as I am in mourning at having to say goodbye. I know that I can reread the series as often as I want but it's not the same knowing that this is it.
Thankfully, the author has other series that are just as good to keep me going.
