Palestinian Refugees: The Right of Return

Why are the so-called Palestinian refugees the only refugees afforded such an iconic status? Why have all the other refugees from the second half of the twentieth century all been completely forgotten-is it because they were absorbed into their host nation while the Palestinians have achieved the status of a nation-in-exile and have not been absorbed, precisely to give the Muslim world a sword with which to destroy Israel
Not many people would point a finger at the Czechs and Poles for expelling ethnic Germans from their territories (even though they had lived there for generations) simply because the Germans started the war and it accepted should have born some penalty for this.
Nobody speaks of the Hindus expelled from Pakistan and the Muslims from India in 1947 or the hundreds of thousands of Greeks expelled from Turkey.
What about the Asians expelled from Uganda by Idi Amin in 1971?
Arabs attacked Jews in Palestine from 1920 when they started to peacefully return to their ancient homeland
Pogroms took place In 1920 Jews where massacred by Arabs in Jerusalem, in 1921 in Jaffa and in 1929 in Hebron. Thousands of Jews where murdered in 1936 to 1939 in the Nazi inspired Arab Revolt. The Arabs attacked the tiny fledgling State of Israel again
in 1948 despite it taking up such a small proportion of the original Palestine Mandate.
In 1947, the Jewish state settled on 18% of the original British Mandate land. This was accepted gratefully. The Arabs rejected it with a vengeance and seven Arab states immediately declared war against Israel.
In 1948, the Arabs were encouraged to leave Israel by Arab leaders promising to purge the land of Jews. Most of them left in fear of being killed by their own Arab brothers as traitors.
. Jewish citizens of Arab countries had been forced to flee from Arab brutality, persecution and pogroms.
The number of Arabs who left Israel in 1948 was 470,000 (this figure was later inflated after UN offered them free help). The number of Jewish refugees from Arab lands is estimated to be the same. these refugees left Arab lands with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. They and their Israeli descendants should be given restitution by the Arab countries which expelled them.
Dont forget the 1948 War of Independence and how hundreds of thousands of Arabs were commanded by their leaders to leave Palestine and did so, to make way for Arab armies to sweep in an annihilate the Jews.
