Ovni Michaels is a new to me author and wow can they write a book! I love how this book starts!! Killian is a well established bad boy and was caught speeding. In his attempt to get out of it, he claimed to be rushing to the hospital to see his partner who is having a baby. Shockingly enough, when he arrives at the hospital (escorted by the police officer) he sees Bailey and plays it cool as if they are in a relationship. I loved how Bailey went along with it after striking a deal where they both benefit from that situation.

In the beginning of the book Killian comes across as entitled but it was great to see him grow as a person and fall for Riley & Sienna. I thought it was hilarious how Killian happened to be in the right place, at the right time and could help Riley out. Riley is a new single mom and is struggling not just financially but with everything. Being a single mom is quite challenging for her and how she has a helicopter dad and uncle trying to "help".

It was awesome to see Killian step up and care not just for Riley but Sienna too as well as Riley accepting his help.

Here's one of my fav lines in the book by Killian in Chapter 13: "Bailey had no clue how badly I wanted to tell her I loved her. She was cute, awkward and embarrassed herself so many times this evening, but she had so much grace and passion. Listening to her and Dad talk was like hearing the only two people in the world who I cared about connect and I almost got jealous of how well they got along."

This is an awesome book, it kept me up quite late because I had to know what was going to happen next. I'll definitely be exploring more of Ovni Michael's books!

Wasn’t expecting to like, or even resonate anything with the characters as I read the blurb and thought this was a DNF type of book… but I was spellbound by the characters - I didn’t like Killian at first - he was everything I dislike about this type of character but his charm and interactions with Bailey really grew on me. The story started with a deception and evolved with spice to a character building and life changing episode for both charters. Endearing read.

Killian & Bailey: Book 5 of Illusions Of Love: Fake relationship/ single mom-playboy billionaire/ forced proximity/ interfering family: I enjoyed reading this series, and Killian & Bailey’s story was a great addition to it. This was an addictive and fun quick read.
