This was a pleasant surprise.
Very steamy. Very sexy.
Young woman is forced to apply for a job with a mob boss to save her father from his debts. She must become Alejandro's Nanny for his young niece as well as his mistress. All the while, she must spy and try to learn his secrets and try not to lose her heart to him.
This was fast moving and sexy. The writing left a little to be desired and I didn't quite feel the gravity to the story at times. Also, things got wrapped up WAY too easily once all the cards were put on the table. However, I still enjoyed myself.

What a fantastic read! Super fast paced and well written, it has a dominant, older hero paired with a much younger and submissive heroine. Lots of secrets and betrayals make for great twists and turns. The chemistry between the two MCs was awesome and it made for some 🔥🔥🔥 smexy times. I've really enjoyed this entire series and cat wait to see where the author takes us next!!

The “Dark Syndicate” series has become one of my favorite mafia series and “Ruthless King” has just moved up to my favorite one. Lucia and Alejandro pulled me in from the very first chapter and I could not put this book down.
Lucia was kidnapped and her father is being held as ransom. The man who kidnapped her wants her to be the nanny for his enemy, Alejandro, in exchange for her Dad living and information on how Alejandro runs his life and house. She reluctantly agrees and is hired by Alejandro after a very intense interview. Alejandro is about 20 years older than her and the attraction they have for each other is undeniable. But El Diablo is after Alejandro, his daughter and his life.
I loved Lucia and Alejandro. They are the hottest couple in this series. I loved their chemistry, it was super hot. They were also sweet and caring to each other right away. That’s when they became my favorite. The mafia world Faith Summers has created is dark and twisty. I loved the plot twist of the book and did not see it coming. I’m not sure this is the last book in the series but I hope it isn’t! I could read 20 books in this series and never get bored.

Ruthless King is the sixth book out of the Dark Syndicate series. I am in love with this series, and how each of them is individually done. With Ruthless King, we have an age-gape, nanny, and mafia troupe.
Faith Summers is a great writer and brings her characters to the front of the story. There is so much hotness and great sex between Lucia and Alejandro, BUT the story is strong. I couldn't put this book down, I had to know what was going to happen next and who the bad guy was.
This is a must-read story! Another great book by Faith Summers!!

Absolutely stunning story of love, love lost, and love found.
Lucia is put in a terrifying and desperate situation to save her father by becoming a nanny for Alejandro, leader of a cartel, in order to save her father.
But she was never supposed to develop feelings for Alejandro or Mia. The espionage and inner workings of the cartel are not enough to save the catastrophe that is inevitable.

This is the sixth book in the Dark Syndicate and might be my favorite. If you like mafia romances you'll love this book. Once you start reading you'll find it almost impossible to put down. Well written with a page turning plot and interesting characters. Steamy and overflowing with suspense. I read an advance reader copy via Bad Boy Update and voluntarily chose to write a review.

Alejandro will stop at nothing to find the killers of his brother and sister-in-law and as Cartel King when he does much blood will be spilt in revenge for him and Mia his baby niece that has now been left in his care, but he needs a nanny, maybe with a little benefit on the side and when Lucia arrives from NY to take on the job he knows things are about to get a lot more complicated, but is Lucia all she seems to be, she is hiding something he just doesn't know exactly what. Lucia has been put into a terrible position but she will do what is required to help her father, even if it means sleeping with the devil himself, what she wasn't expecting was the devil to be quite so attractive and the longer she is with Alejandro and the sweet Mia the more difficult it will become to fulfil her promise to the men who hold her father captured.
A hot suspenseful older guy mafia romance, intrigue and deception set amonest the hot tropic nights of Brazil.

I liked this one.
I was very curious about Alejandro in previous books so when I finally read his book I was left with wanting more.
I wanted more flesh out characters. I got some of their chemistry but still I felt something was missing.
I felt like some background story or some structure within the cartel was also missing eventho I have read the previous book in the series minus one, but that didn’t decrease the pleasure of reading this one.
Overall, I think this was a really good entertainment book with a lot of sexy times so if you like that then make sure you check this one.

I really liked reading this suspense action book. Every now and then I just like to throw myself in a good action book or movie and just enjoy the unbelievable action scenes. Like the hero gets beat up to a pulp but manage to escape with a limp. But, that doesn't happen here. We have a much older man Alejandro doing anything to keep his love one's especially his Niece safe and protected. But, some how Lucia is put in a position be a Nanny to Alejandro's to get info for his enemies. You see Lucia's father has been kidnapped and for collateral she as a choice be a spy or have her father killed for her lack of participation. Secrets will be shed, but what will happen if Alejandro finds out Lucia is spying on him to pass the information to his enemies? I was thoroughly entertained and heart throbbed through the action and suspense scenes.

Ruthless King by Faith Summers is book 6 in the Dark Syndicate Series. This is the story of Alejandro Ramírez and Lucia. I have read the previous books which did add to my enjoyment of this book. Alejandro is a older man who is very dangerous leader of a cartel who is looking to get revenge for his brother and sister-in-law who where murdered. Besides seeking revenge, Alejandro is now the care taker of his baby niece Mia. Alejandro needs a nanny for which is how Lucia enters his world. Lucia and her father have been taken by El Diablo because her father owes him a great money debt. Lucia is told that if she spies on Alejandro and send back information her father will be freed. But what Lucia didn't realize is that she would have instant feeling for Alejandro and his niece.
This was a good Mafia Read.

I love the dark, mafia romance trope and Ms. Summers does it magnificently!
I did not want to put the story down, but eventually, those lids just wouldn't stay open!
I loved the hours of entertainment I got.
I loved both mains, and the age gap, oh la la! Loved it!
I will keep coming back for more! No doubt about it!

Can I just say that I want Alejandro for myself? Even just saying his name had me all hot and bothered. He is intense but sweet and caring. He is ruthless however and the chemistry he has with Lucia was explosive. Not everything is at seems though and the twists and turns and danger also had me on the edge of my seat.

This book is a must read that needs to be read. It moves along at a great pace which is neither too fast nor too slow. It has interesting characters that you will love and want to know more about and a story that keeps you interested and reading until the very end. This book is a must read that needs to be on your TBR list, no doubt about it.

The mafia/cartel aspects mixed with the hot chemistry and age gap make this one super entertaining. I haven’t read any other books in this series but had no trouble keeping up, it can definitely be read as a standalone.

this was.. interesting.
okay so I actually enjoyed this book–surprisingly so.
I'm not a fan not against age gap, it truly depends how it's used in the story and the age of the characters, and here I didn't mind much tbh (she's 26? I believe so, or 25 almost turning 26, some would say the bar it's low but trust me I've encountered books where the fmc is 18💀💀💀) and he's 48 (that chris rock meme who says DAMN about the age etc)
the plot was actually interesting, I think it wraps up well but the plot in the entire saga didn't–i think a lot of things got unresolved and it did bother me even tho I stopped putting hopes in regard a well executed plot books ago.
now–this book was going for 4 stars! what did happened?
first of all, as I said, I don't usually mind age gap and I liked she was older and even tho it's noticable she's younger than him–they actually build a relationship where that's not a problem itself. she's as mature as someone her age is, it's not unrealistic and they don't make you uncomfortable making her act like a brat 💀 but I didn't like comments as 'i could be her father' like brother ughhhhh WHAT WHY WHY WOULD YOU WRITE THAT gave me the ick.
then, it felt as insta love. sure, they're attracted to each other since the first time they see each other, lust? no problem at all, but suddenly they have this great intimate relationship and all they did was fuck like ??? yes they start to open to each other but it felt out of nowhere tbh, it felt rushed.
it also made me uncomfortable how from the very first start he wanted a nanny he could also fuck.. idk knowing how a lot of times nannies are "expected" to do so to the male tutors of the child they take care and how it's an actual issue and horrible stereotype? (I don't know how to call it sorry) it brush me wrong. if he had needs it whatever just look somewhere else why would you want a girl who do both idk it's dumb and horrible to be honest.

Despite the large age gap of which I'm not a big fan, I found the characters likable and the story intriguing.
Alejandro and Lucia have seen a lot of loss in their lives and can't afford to be falling in love with each other with all of their secrets and the danger that invokes them. However, love knows no bounds as Lucia falls for the man and not the monster everyone fears. His love for his niece, Mia, melts her heart as she grows to love the adorable little girl as well. It's Lucia's secret and guilt that is tearing her apart as she lies about why she is there. Alejandro thinks she is there to be his nanny and more as the contract says, but Lucia is not who she seems as she tries to protect everyone she loves without getting them all killed.
Alejandro's friends and family are being killed one by one by the evil and mysterious El Diablo. It's an inside job and Alejandro can't trust his closest friends and confidants anymore. As he gets closer to finding out the truth, he is shocked to find the secrets and betrayals that come to light. His first priority is protecting little Mia, and he gives his trust to the one woman who is about to destroy his life.
The characters are well-developed as we slowly learn their tragic stories, and the plot is intense as the reader eventually finds out El Diablo's shocking identity and who is betraying Alejandro. Lucia and Alejandro's chemistry is immediate and believable and I did guess correctly how Lucia would unknowingly receive Alejandro's forgiveness because, after all, he's the ruthless Cartel king and danger comes with the territory.
If you enjoy hot sexy suspense between two opposites with dangerous secrets, give this book a try. Also, check out my review for Merciless Hunter, book 4 in the Dark Syndicate series. All these books can be read as standalones.

The characters are well-developed as we slowly learn their tragic stories, and the plot is intense as the reader eventually finds out El Diablo's shocking identity and who is betraying Alejandro. Lucia and Alejandro's chemistry is immediate and believable and I did guess correctly how Lucia would unknowingly receive Alejandro's forgiveness because, after all, he's the ruthless Cartel king and danger comes with the territory.
If you enjoy hot sexy suspense between two opposites with dangerous secrets, give this book a try. Also, check out my review for Merciless Hunter, book 4 in the Dark Syndicate series. All these books can be read as standalones.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "RUTHLESS KING" OMG!!!!! Dark Syndicate one fantastic series you just have to have so full of intrigue, suspense, angst, secrets, lies, betrayal, humor, passion, evil, danger, violence, twists that make this one very addicting read.
Alejandro Ramirez Cartel King to Ramirez Empire & someone wants him dead they want everything he has EL Diablo is behind everything he doesn't know his identity his brother Eduardo his wife Priscilla killed in their home betrayed but little Mia his daughter survived.
Lucia Ferreira & her father William have been kidnapped he's a tech genius freelanced for Gov't Dept of Defense but life has a way of screwing with you he's so on debt to EL Diablo he will use Jim for his own agenda.
Alejandro needs a new nanny as Estelle nanny to his daughter Mia wants to return to Argentina be with her family Cristiano finds the perfect nanny for him he's his second in command he's arranged for her to do other things for om like be in his bed whenever he wants.
EL Diablo arranged everything for her to get the nanny job her father hid her past records he wants her inside Alejandro's home to get info on him about everything or her father William dies.
Lucia gets the job but never thought she fall for Alejandro & love his baby girl Mia who grabs your heart she to precious but Estelle knows somethings off she doesn't trust her but Mua seems up love her so she's hired on a three month trial.
I definitely recommend to get this book you'll he hooked from the start so much happens you can't stop reading until the end you'll live all the characters.

Amazingly so hot! Alejandro is the Cartel King who is ruthless & has the respect of the other Mafia leaders. There is a rise in murders in Alejandro's closest circle of protectors & his family members. Everything points to El Diablo, the mysterious man whom no ones lives to tell what he looks like. Alejandro is at wits end & doesn't know who to trust to protect him & his daughter. Lucia is thrown into the dark world, along with her dad who is being held as hostage. Lucia is threatened to provide valuable information to El Diablo in order to fulfill her dad's millions owed to him. What she didn't plan on, is to fall in love with Alejandro & his little daughter, Mia so quickly. Lucia has to figure out how to save her dad & protect Alejandro & Mia and to protect her heart from being broken when he finds out he is being betrayed.

Ms. Faith Summers, aka Khardine Grey, is the best kind of Author. From the characters to the riveting storyline, this woman has talent in spades. I have had the absolute pleasure to have read every Dark Syndicate release in the Series, to date, and Ruthless King is just one more example of her creativity. What I enjoy most about this dramatic Series is revisiting past characters and catch up with the happenings surrounding each of them.
In this installment, we get to delve further into the life of Alejandro. After the tragic death of his Brother, the danger surrounding Alejandro ramps up to epic proportions. However, after hiring his new Nanny, Lucia, everything changes yet again. This book was completely engrossing to me. Reading all through the weekend, sitting on the couch, is where I found myself for most of it. At one point, I actually had to plug in my Kindle, just so I could keep going.
Lucia and Alejandro have unexpectedly given in to their crazy hot chemistry, but sometimes Alejandro gets the feeling that Lucia is hiding something from him. Already he trusts no one, but when he discovers just what Lucia is after, what's left of his heart shatters. How can Lucia redeem herself in the eyes of the one and only man she's fallen in love with?
I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy, from The Bad Boy Update, in exchange for my honest and voluntarily given opinion.
I highly recommend reading this release, as well as the entire Series as a whole.

RUN AND BINGE! As I said before, this was my first time reading a book by this Author so this is a completely unbiased opinion. Everything from the characters to the plot were perfection. This is book 6 in the series, but can be read as a standalone.
The characters, main and supporting, were superb. The Author did a fantastic job portraying Alejandro's grief and Lucia's guilt. The chemistry between the two was sizzling and probably one of the better age gap romances I've read.
Let's talk about the plot. 'Ruthless King' will have your head spinning and your mind reeling. Alejandro is the new leader of his cartel and someone is out to take him down. Lucia has been kidnapped to pay her dad's debt and to pay this debt she has to work for Alejandro and collect information for the one trying to take him down. That's not all. We don't know, who exactly, is trying to take down Alejandro. All we have is a couple of pseudonyms and the fact that it's an inside job. Trying to figure who was behind everything was thrilling and unpredictable. That's all I'm going to say.
So, if you haven't read this one yet I can't recommend it enough!!

Lucia father owes some bad guys money and rhe only way that she can pay them off and not kill him or her she will become a spy for the bad guys. Lucia will work as a nanny for the bad guy arch enemies and she will in return gain Alexjandro trust, become intimate with him. Lucia is to learn all Alexjandro secrets and then tell them to the persons holding her father hostage. I found this story to be absolutely amazing, adventure, intriguing, age-gap, suspenseful, emotional, dark romance, but so inviting and captivating that I simply could not stop reading it.
Alexjandro was sexy, strong, good provider, demanding, protector, his attraction towards Lucia is powerful, intense, and the chemistry when these two come toghether intimately is explosive. I love the writing style, plot of Faith Summers, she is a crafty, creative, and knows how to bring the read into a story. I now have buy more of her books, because her stories are so addictive and delicious.
Lucia was put in situation that she had to do whatever it takes to save her loved one, but she did not expected to fall in love with such a brutal, powerful, dangerous, and then betray his to save her father.
Lucia has a trouble past, and is deeply attracted to Alexjandro so much so that she is the first to fall and even Alejandro call her on desires for him.
Great story, wonderful characters, mafia, criminal action and I loved it all.

This story about Alejandro a Cartel Leader is my favorite in the Dark Syndicate Series and my does he like to be in control! Each story in this series gets more intense than the last one and how each man from the other stories are there to offer help when trouble comes for them. With the death of his brother Alejandro finds his niece, Mia alive and raises her knowing that she is really his own daughter, keeping the secret to protect her. Alejandro needs a nanny and his 2nd in command finds just the right person for the position, Lucia, and much more. Lucia is qualified for the job, speaking 9 languages along with her experience but no one knows her father has been kidnapped by his enemies and using Lucia to get information to be used for harm. These 2 have a undeniable attraction and Alejandro is warned not to trust Lucia but he allows his broken heart to start mending when it comes to the power Lucia has over his heart. As Alejandro continues to investigate who is responsible for killing his brother and sister in law, secrets are slowly revealed, danger comes to him and his family, deceit, jealousy, death, kidnapping and so much more! This is one amazing story and series. Hopefully we see another story with these alpha men and the woman they fall in love with with trouble around them! While Lucia and Alejandro are attracted to each other, I did not feel the chemistry between them. It was super fast insta love...which unfortunately I do not care for. She doesn't know anything about this guy except that he's a cartel leader, killer, murderer and is swooning minutes after she meets him. Knowing he will use her as a human pin cushion. On top of that, she is supposed to be taking care of the most precious thing in the world to him and getting inside info to give to the guy who her dad owes money to.
I saw some of the reviews were glowing for this story and I'm sorry to say that I wasn't able to connect with the characters. I have seen this storyline before and really need a twist early on in a book for me to like it. Sadly this story did not do it for me, contrary to a lot of readers. A few steamy scenes kept my attention but other than that I skimmed a little. Maybe like the majority of the reviews, you will fall in love with this book and enjoy the insta love.
