Maisie Quinn has three goals. One, to get through her best friend’s wedding without blubbering. Two, to make sure as the maid of honor she is, you know, honorable and shit. And three, to not punch a certain groomsman in the face—or sit on it. You see, Dane MacCloyd, the groomsman in question, is a walking red flag. Every charming, tatted-up, bad-boy mechanic inch of him. Plus, he’s a little too friendly with all the tourists who visit Pine Bluff, Maine, a memo Maisie didn’t get until it was too late.
But when the wedding is over, Maisie finds herself caught up in small-town corruption, and Dane is the only person who can keep her from harm. Vowing to protect her, Dane whisks Maisie away on an impromptu road trip, where they’re forced to face their misunderstandings while fighting every instinct to collide.
Will a little time away give them the answers they need? Every adventure must come to an end, but could this fling turn into forever?
Maggie Maren is a lifelong weirdo and misunderstood mystic. Combining her deep love for nature and romance, she enjoys playing mountain man matchmaker. Her stories transport readers to cozy cabins and the great outdoors, where kooky characters find love.
While earning her English literature degree, she worked as a bookseller, because clearly temperance isn’t her strong suit. Her curious ways have led her to some interesting forays as a librarian, professional tarot reader, crystal merchant, and some dark ages in corporate America.
When she isn’t scowling at her laptop writing, she is usually reading. If she isn’t reading, she is either dancing, sipping iced coffee, yipping at the moon, adventuring with her own mountain man, or ugly crying over a majestic sunset. She loves to hear from her readers, preferably in the form of a haiku, but hey no pressure.
Some books sit with you. Some series sit with you. This is one of those. I love being in Pine Bluff. I’ve loved Dane since Stormbound. The hot mechanic. Yes please.
Some books also hit a little close to home. Did Connor remind me of my ex-husband. Yes. Did I meet my current husband in a similar way to Dane and Maisie. Yes.
Dane and Maisie felt so real. Their relationship, tension and banter was amazing and intense. Dane is literally the perfect book boyfriend. He listens, he’s there for Maisie, and it’s like he just knows what she needs. He’s also the touch her and die type.
I loved how they both said what they felt. The changes they needed to make for themselves, before they could be what they needed for the other.
The spicy scenes were so good. The garage scene, the pool table scene, and the lighthouse scene… these will live rent free in my mind.
This is the third book in the Pine Bluff series and brings Maisie and Dane's story. The author does a great job developing the story and painting her scenes perfectly. She takes you into their lives with past hurts, emotions, banter and chemistry and kept me turning the pages with the misunderstandings, twists and humor. She moves the story fluidly and delivers another terrific read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and are freely given.
Wow, what a roller coaster ride 🤯🥵😍😭 I was hanging onto my seat for the entire thing!!! Maggie delivered another amazing book for the third story in her pine bluff series; this whole series has such a special place in my heart. We got to know Dane and Maisie from the first two books, and while this can technically be a stand alone, I highly recommend reading the first two books as it will give you a much deeper appreciation for the story. We also get spoilers for the other two main couples!
Speaking of spoilers, I will keep this review spoiler free, but it will be so hard!
We have our MMC, Dane. He is a tattooed mechanic, biker, and has a bad boy player reputation. He is the last surviving member of his family, hasn’t ever had a serious relationship, and thinks that he isn’t worthy of someone sticking around for him (everyone always leaves). Our FMC Maisie is a tiny feisty tornado who has bold style choices, pink hair, and has never been shown real love by anyone including her own mother and her ex-husband. Her best friend Kaylee is the only one who she can be herself with. Oh yeah, she also owns her own boutique selling adult toys 🤭.
They both met at their best friends’ engagement party where there was an instant connection. One that altered them in a matter of hours and before they could explore it further, something happened to turn their encounter sour, and now they have to figure out how to be civil with each other for the wedding. When they are forced to see each other again though, the undeniable chemistry is still there and they both can’t help but get drawn into each other again. Their fire is hot and they have to be careful not to burn each other.
After they get their friends happily married, and make it through the event without hurting each other, we get another curve ball. Something happens that will force Dane to come to Maisie’s rescue and a motorcycle road trip ensues. With the forced proximity and their burning emotions, they have to figure out what to do when their past traumas catch up to them. How can they be together when she has to go back home to Texas?
Make sure to check trigger warnings. While this isn’t a dark romance, it does address some very heavy themes (but are handled so well).
The spice was also amazing 🥵🥵🥵 It pulled out one of my favorite moves I don’t think I’ve read in a romance yet…
Tropes: -small town -enemies to lovers -road trip -one bed -hate to love -he protects her -touch her and die -spicy open door romance
PS, Dane goes to therapy and is okay crying. He is truly the greenest of green flags!!! He is honestly so self aware and for someone labeled as a “bad boy”, so good at communicating and so emotionally mature. 🫠
This is book 3 in the Pine Bluff series, my first book from this author. Can be read as a standalone, but it may mean, like me, when you read about the amazing side characters in this book, you will want to read them all.
Maisie is in Pine Bluff for the wedding of her BFF, who is practically the sister she doesn't have. She met Dane at their engagement party several months prior, and he left a sour taste in her mouth (excuse the pun, certainly not intended....lol). Maisie comes from a real place of hurt, and has never felt good enough, whether that be from her Mum or her ex husband, so when I say she laughs off those personal questions, or runs when the heat gets to her, thats exactly what she does. Dane has experienced is own level of hurt, so whether by reputation or design, he allows what the small town says about him to define who is, never correcting. He has a deeper secret that few know about, something which he doesn't want to have others know, well, for right now.
After miscommunication and confusion around the events from the engagement party, Dane and Maisie swirl around their feelings, putting themselves last to ensure their mutual best friends have the wedding celebrations they deserve. A part I love most is all the signs there that says that these two are destined, along with crystals, tarot cards and fortunes found, this book had it all. There was darkness to survive, that threatened their very existence but what a book. If you are hellbent on one hell of a read, it's right here. Deserves more than 5 stars, devoured it quickly because I could not put it down.
Wowza! This book was a slow beautiful build of their story. It started at Kaylee and Harley’s wedding shower and then slowly progressed.
Once they gave in to their passion for each other WATCH OUT! It was absolutely powerful how their chemistry was!
I loved how he wasn’t super into the “woo woo sh$;” like Kaylee/Maise/Rosie but he said he just felt this inextricable pull to her.
Even when selling his shop and motorcycle he went somewhere tied to her in some way.
Dane is such a sweet man. He’s a goofball on the surface but has this super soft underbelly that is so vulnerable.
After the INCIDENT and him pushing her away but not truly letting her go and rebuilding himself and she did the same. Then coming back together was so poetic!
And their wedding was so them! Small, simple and beautiful.
This book has everything. Friends as close as family, romance, suspense, steamy scenes so powerful they make you feel it deep down, and just CONNECTIONS!
I could talk about almost every chapter in this book! It’s so well crafted and woven into the other two so well that you don’t necessarily NEED to read the other two but if you haven’t you will sure want to after this one!
Hellbent is the comforting cake you're excited to dig into; comforting, silky, with thick frosting. Then when you cut into it you discover not only is it comforting in all the right places, it's ALSO a layer cake with the best cream 😉💦
Hellbent was my first introduction to Maggie Maren. I signed up to read it because of an Instagram reel. Maggie's genuine personality shined and hooked me (keep being yourself!).
I expected the MC to be a bit brutish and was so pleasantly surprised to find out he was in fact a decadent, well rounded cake king 🥵📚
I moonlight as a boudoir photographer and preach body acceptance, the importance of safe, intimate relationships, knowing how to set healthy and safe k!nk scenes, and knowing your body inside and out.
I was very pleased to see safe intercourse and the breaking of taboo topics around it, discussed between the characters. The characters start off snapping at each other and the tension is thick... but we all know that won't last long before they come together like butter and sugar. And oh, wow does it come together so nice and creamy.
An open door spice book - there is open door SA and it is handled kindly, pushes the plot forward, and is resolved well. Maggie doesn't shy away from the grief, and the need for healing. I so appreciated that Maggie gives the characters the opportunity to have mature discussions and growth. So much character growth. I'm so proud of our two spicy lovebirds and their personal journeys.
This book got my cake rising and my frosting whipped. Would highly recommend!!! 😈 I enjoyed meeting the characters that other books have been written about but I didn't lose out on anything by reading this 3rd book first.
Thanks, Maggie! I can't wait to dig into more of your world. Forks Up!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
4.5 stars. I enjoyed this series a lot and I'm looking forward to the 4th story. I like the spirituality aspect of the book and the fact that the characters aren't afraid to be themselves. There were a lot of bumps on the road but I loved Dane and Maisie's path. The book needs a bit more editing but otherwise it was great.
It was lovely to return to Pine Bluff for Dane and Maisie’s story! 🌲💕🌲💕 You don’t have to have read the prior two novels to read this one, but the experience is definitely enriched if you do.
We have met both characters before, in both Stormbound and Feverburn. Dane is the wise-cracking bad boy mechanic that has a reputation for providing *hospitality* for the women visitors to Pine Bluff, Maine. Maisie is the sarcastic, silly, and fiercely loyal BFF of Kaylee, the protagonist of Book 1. And Dane is best friends with Harley, the MMC of book 1. He owns a body shop. She owns an adult boutique.
When Maisie visits Pine Bluff for Kaylee and Harley’s rehearsal dinner, there are instant sparks, but not all the good kind.
These characters are so much fun. And they have so much depth and heart. They both have past traumas that are causing roadblocks. The way that the author writes their process of dealing with those and learning to find each other is so beautiful. Not to mention funny and spicy too! 💕
There are some great moments with secondary characters and the womxn’s friendships in Maggie Maren‘s work are always top-notch.
As previously mentioned, the spice is excellent. The author places a lot of emphasis on communication and consent in all of her books. That is still here and there are some other really progressive things that happen around the spice that just make me so happy to read. We don’t have to set ourselves back 50 years in order to enjoy a spicy romance. I am giving this one five peppers because there is one scene that I think about constantly. And I learned something new! 😂 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
In terms of diversity, some of the secondary characters are women of color and Maisie herself is multi racial with a Latinx father and white mother. There are also queer characters in the Pinebluff universe though they remain among the secondary characters. In thinking about diversity, I think it’s also important to acknowledge just how progressive and justice oriented, the author’s works are. While these aren’t necessarily factors in diverse representation, I think it’s still important that she casts a critical eye on patriarchy and oppressive social institutions and creates characters who are empowered to challenge those institutions. Her work is a joy to read and I never feel like a bad human for enjoying it. 😂
Overall, I really loved the story. Even though book 2 remains at the top spot in my heart, these two characters charmed me. They made me cry, they made me laugh, and they made me swoon. OK, and they also made me squirm in my seat a little. 🥵
I gave this book 5 stars and five chili peppers. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Maggie Maren’s Hellbent is a captivating romance that deftly weaves together passion, vulnerability, and the complexities of love. Set against a backdrop of emotional turmoil and personal growth, this novel explores the intricacies of relationships in a way that feels both raw and authentic.
At the heart of the story is Maisie, whose journey of self-discovery is beautifully intertwined with their romantic entanglements. Maren excels in crafting characters that are relatable and multi-dimensional, allowing readers to invest deeply in their hopes and fears. The chemistry between Maisie and Dane is electric, filled with tension and tenderness that keeps readers eagerly turning the pages.
Maren’s writing is both lyrical and poignant, with vivid descriptions that bring the settings and emotions to life. The dialogue is sharp and engaging, showcasing the characters' personalities and their evolving relationship. The pacing of the romance feels just right, balancing moments of heart-stopping intensity with quieter, introspective scenes that allow for character development.
One of the standout themes in Hellbent is the exploration of vulnerability in love. Maren deftly addresses the fears and insecurities that often accompany deep emotional connections. Through Maisie and Dane, readers witness the transformative power of love, as they navigate their own pasts and learn to embrace the present.
Maren also tackles the idea of second chances and the importance of confronting one’s own demons. The growth of the characters throughout the story is inspiring, making their eventual connections feel earned and deeply satisfying.
Overall, Hellbent is a beautifully crafted romance that offers both heart and depth. Maggie Maren has created a story that resonates with anyone who has ever experienced the complexities of love. With its compelling characters, emotional stakes, and lyrical prose, this novel is a must-read for fans of contemporary romance.
Maggie does it again. I don’t know what kind of spell she is weaving, but the men of Pine Bluff are just *chef’s kiss*. Dane is a consent king and an absolute feminist without losing any of his rugged and powerful masculinity. Too often in these small town mountain men books they are portrayed as super toxic and consent is questionable. Maggie shows us just how sexy a feminist man can be.
Stuck in the town he grew up in, haunted by all he’s lost, Dane seeks connection where he can find it. Even if it makes him some sort of playboy. That is until Maisie blows through town, leaving him an absolute wreck and unable to forget the pink haired pixie.
Maisie is happy for her best friend, she really is, but did she have to meet her lumber daddy out in the middle of nowhere Maine? And did the best man have to be so deliciously tattooed and sexy and such a pig?
Misunderstandings suck, will this one ruin any chance of Maisie and Dane discovering just how explosive they can be? When Maisie gets in trouble with a local, Dane is the one who rescues her and whisks her away on the back of his motorcycle. A road trip that will change them both forever.
This book had me up all night reading it. I laughed at their antics, cried at their heartbreak, and was absolutely shocked at twists this book makes. And of course, as always with Maggie’s books, the spice just hits it out of the park. Habanero hot.
This book is a little darker than the previous two, so check your content warnings!
Road trip with my enemy? Sign me up! The adventure Maisie and Dane go on sounds a lot like a dream vacation.
I absolutely love, love, LOVE the banter, tension, and chemistry between these two. Dane and Maisie have this unique slow-ish burn between them. It reminds me of those last few glowing embers of a fire that’s mostly put out. When you least expect it they reignite and it gets hot. They are raw and unfiltered. It leads to some very emotional moments. I found myself choked up a few times. Be ready to be in it for the long haul with these two. There’s a lot of push and pull. They don’t make it simple or easy but the ride is worth it!
This book, their journey…just wow! 🤯 I don’t think there was any way to prepare myself for all what was going to happen and I’m okay with it.
Dane and Maisie are two of the deepest characters I have ever met. These two are going to stick with me. There are very real and relevant topics that are brought up. They could be uncomfortable things for some to talk about but it was just natural for these two. They don’t push or pry one another. They go with the flow. And it’s done beautifully.
I really could go on for days about this book. Instead I’m going to simply say - read it! It still has the magic that only Pine Bluff can bring even though Maisie and Dane are on the road. It can be read as a standalone but I would highly recommend reading the first two books in this series. They are all interconnected standalones.
🤫Don’t tell Harley or Carson but Dane is my new favorite 🤭😍🥵🫠
This made me feel a lot of things…full review to come
**** Well I went into this book expecting a cute, small town, quirky characters kind of read and yes all those things were there but I was not expecting the realness and emotion mixed in. With real characters with a lot of real problems and real (sometimes infuriating) decision making.
I loved the genuine female relationships and even the slightly contentious ones. They felt authentic and grounded in reality while also being graphically and surprisingly funny at times. I will admit I always think I am very far away from the more free wheeling, a little hippy, vibes and chill kind of characters prevalent in this book but in between sometimes rolling my eyes at their kooky "I just knew so therefore it must be" mentality I can admire it and wish that I was a little more open and chill in those ways. That said if you find yourself upset and put off by the depictions of female characters in this series you might want to ask yourself a little more closely why that is...These characters, in my opinion, voice very real feelings and beliefs that do exist and I for one am refreshed to see a different perspective of the female journey represented in these kind of books. Ok mini soapbox rant over!
That said Maisie and Dane had me so freaking frustrated and yet incredibly invested in them as individuals and as a couple. They have very interesting and complicated pasts that heavily influence their current lives, relationships and how they view themselves. I was often legit mad at them for their inability to communicate effectively with each other but also was able to see how their very real trauma and history played into this.
The side plot outside of them as a potential couple got much darker and more serious than I expected. This could be a significant trigger for some because it did feel very realistic and you end up really going through the fall out with the characters. Involves harassments, cop, abuse of power and significant assaults' leading to a death.
Overall I really enjoyed this book and the emotions it took me on were not always pleasant but very memorable...and yes it was actually much hotter than I would have guessed! I am a crazy gremlin of a reader and will admit I did not read the first two books in this series before this one. Its just the way I am but I am very impressed because even with alluding to the previous stories and meeting characters from those books in this book instead of feeling spoiled or not interested the way they were introduced to me in this story and the way their previous stories were hinted at actually makes me very interested in going back to read those book as well.
Loved the pink arm pit hair! There I said it!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
That quote sums up the FMC Maisie in a nutshell! She is such a kooky, stubborn, headstrong woman and I am here for it! The banter in this book was amazing and I loved each interaction the main characters had (both spicy and non-spicy). I legitimately laughed out loud at this book many times and the first time was in the first paragraph, what a way to suck you into a book!!
There were a few interactions or conversations in the plot that felt a bit extreme to me considering the circumstances and the 'I want you but I can't be with you' mentality went on a bit long for my liking but despite these, I still ultimately really enjoyed the book!
Between Maisie healing from her trauma, both past and present, and Dane coming to grips with the fact that staying put may not be the best thing for him, I loved reading about these 2 coming back to each other time and time again. Now I think it's officially time to go back and read the other books in this series!
A huge thank you to Maggie and BookSprout for providing me an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest feedback. Happy Reading!
Maisie and Dane, oh my god, like really, how are these two even working. On paper these two just dont work, oil and water, enemies through and through. But you know what they say opposites attract. And boy do they attract. Maggie takes you on a roadtrip with these two and the journey they go on brings out so much of each other. The lumbersnack version of Dane and the kooky and crazy ways of Maisie makes you not want to put this book down. Life ain't all hunky dory for Maisie and Dane whisks her away , well u read and then see why whisking away happens. Just cause its small town everything is not sweet and easy. Hellbent has a dark theme and its bought out so beatutifully at one point i was thinking " wait is this small town or dark romance" but i was in and in completely! This is just, I can't give out much more details without it being a spoiler but oh my god! You will not see that going the way it did! Dane and Maisie 4eva!!
Maggie… you always give me exactly what I want and need. The disclaimers for this book are exactly right. There is a distinctly different feel to this one than the other two. It belongs in this world but is also its own presence.
Maisie lives up to Dane’s nickname for her. She is chaos personified but in a very different way than Kaylee is. I loved her fearlessness and vulnerability that’s only for Dane. The hair, the car, the shop. I love her.
Dane… like whoa way to check all the boxes. Tattoos, check. Motorcycle, check. Self-awareness, check. Reader, check. Dexterity, checky check check.
The road tip is excellent. The interaction with the characters from the other books (including the upcoming books!) is sweet. The mystical vibes were front and center.
This book is a slower burn than the two before it but the wait pays off. Dane is a reformed playboy and all that preparation paid off for Maisie!
I have a confession, I loved the first two books in the Pine Bluff series but put off reading this one as didn’t think it was for me. I was sooo wrong - it’s amazing. I wish I had read it sooner.
I love how the books all interconnect but can be read as a standalone with only some mild spoilers but if you want the best experience read from the first book and consume them all one after another.
This story is 👌. Dane as the MMC is absolutely gorgeous. He goes and joins Carson from the 2nd book in my top 10 MMCs of all time list. And Maisie as the FMC is equally as great, joining Rosie from the 2nd book on my FMC list. Be warned Maggie Maren writes the best characters!
The writing is great, the story is fab and I don’t not what else to say. Read this book!!! Now!! I read it within 24 hours and will now order a physical copy as I need it in my life not just on my kindle.
Small Town Romance / Enemies to Lovers / Road Trip / HEA
A Pine Bluff Novel - Book Three. Maisie Quinn has returned to Pine Bluff to stand as Maid of Honor for her best friend, however, the best man, Dane MacCloyd, is a nightmare. Tattoos, mechanic, bad boy, top the list of red flags. They first met at the engagement party and snuck away for a bit of privacy but there was some miscommunication and they parted enemies. Maisie is being harassed by a local and runs to Dane for help. They take off on his motorcycle to get away and clear their heads. I loved the first two books but this one really resonated with me. Thank you Maggie for the opportunity to read an advance copy. Looking forward to adding a physical copy to my collection very soon.
This was a new author for me and I honestly really wanted to like this book. The premise and tropes were everything that I love about a book but there was just something about the writing that put me off. I think that maybe it was a little too descriptive in places it didn't need to be which made it feel kind of clunky and just difficult to read and get into. I think if I could've got past the way it was written I would've loved this book, but sadly it just wasn't for me. However I may pick it up in the future and give it another go, who knows 🤷♀️ for now tho I have DNF'd
The author provided me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review
I love the whole witchy vibes of the series and enjoyed watching these two main characters learn how to fight for themselves and each other instead of just fighting with each other. The struggles these two go through definitely were curves that I did not see coming and I fully appreciated the well rounded development of these characters with common struggles you can relate to but that you don't see so frequently in this genre.
The whole series is now on my recommend to my book bestie list. And I cannot wait for book four!.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book had me hooked by the first chapter. The characters were relatable. Especially the FMC, Maisie. It was so easy to connect and get in the feels with this book. There were times I was like “OH! COME ON!” But not in a this is boring kind of way. More like frustration. But it probably didn’t help I’ve made decisions similar. The overall story was overall organic which made it that much better. It wasn’t a fairytale or basic small town romance. There were twists and turns and real life situations. I highly recommend! If you have triggers, you should definitely read the trigger warnings in the note to readers.

This was alright. I’ll be honest both the FMC and MMC needed to process their own shit before diving in so I’m glad the author walked them back a bit in the middle of this book. Dane has some repressed trauma and was so self-conscious of his issues he couldn’t let anyone really in and Masie lacked an ability to trust anyone outside of her BFF. I will say Dane showed up and did what needed to be done on both the fronts with Boyd and their relationship even though it crushed him. Dane is a good man. Masie needed to heal and grow and I’m glad she was able to do that she could trust and love Dane unconditionally.
I almost feel bad for how quickly I devoured this book. I already knew it was going to be good because the first two in the series were epic. This book was not only entertaining and an fantastic love story, it also managed to heal a part of my soul that I didn't realize was broken. This didn't feel like just another romance book. There are parts of this story that will stay with me long after the last line is read. I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series. 4/5 spice

I loved this story it was a roller coaster ride. Dane is a tattooed bad boy biker mechanic with a bad boy player reputation. He's the last surviving member of his family. Maisie is feisty with pink hair, and never been loved by anyone including her own mother and her ex-husband.They met at their best friend engagement party and felt an instant connection. Maisie & Dane: Book 3 of Pine Bluff: Maid of honor-groomsman/ friend’s wedding/ road trip/ forced proximity/ friend group/ small town RomCom: Interconnected standalone, some spoilers if read out of order. Maggie Maren has done a great job with this series, and I loved Maisie and Dane’s story with their banter, spice, and chemistry. I was hooked right away with these characters, and the storyline kept me entertained throughout.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book is perfect for an ADHD reader. It has so many twists and turns, there's no way you'd get bored! I lived Dane in book 1, hated him in book 2, then saw he was the MMC of book 3. I almost didn't read it, but the author had done such a good job of describing bits of his past in the other books that I couldn't resist. I love Maise, as a fellow liberal Texan. What a great story, tge spice was super hot. The character development was intriguing and satisfying. definitely would recommend!
Trigger warning that i didnt see before reading, SA.
To say that I loved this book wouldn’t be enough. This whole series is phenomenal and this newest addition did not disappoint! Maggie just has a way of writing that sucks you in.
Maisie and Dane are both so broken and flawed, and I was completely absorbed in watching them grow and find healing while also finding each other.
Also the spicy scenes were 🔥🌶️🔥 and so well written, and didn’t feel purely gratuitous, which is rare for romance books I feel like.
Absolutely amazing my all time top 5 star read of 2024! This book had me in my feelings, I felt all the emotions throughout reading this book. DANE & MAISIE what can I say the banter back and fourth between them at times was so funny, and other times they broke my heart. This is definitely a must read to add to your tbr. It is amazing, I can't say that enough!!!! Can't wait to read her other books!!!!
I absolutely loved this one!!! Maisie and Dame are so good together! Watching him grovel when he didn’t even realize what he had done wrong was so sweet. He was throwing out all the stops just to prove his feelings were real and it was so endearing. I love him so much! He’s sweet, tattooed and good with his hands 😏 Maisie is definitely someone I would love to hand out with, I also wish her store was real, lol.
I gave this one 3 stars because honestly it was just hard for me to read. The story line was good but all the focus on the pink hair like it was such a big thing. Like ok i get it you have pink hair and it’s your personality. I almost DNF this book but i forced myself to finish it. I was glad I did because the climax of the story was unexpected. However the break up kind of pissed me off. At this point i probably won’t read the next in the series.
The third novel in the Pine Bluff, Maisie Quinn and Dane MacCloyd's enemies to lovers, road trip story is well written with strong characters and a very good storyline. There is past hurts to overcome, emotions, banter, chemistry, misunderstandings and romance. I found their story to be well worth reading. This is a new Author to me, I want to read the rest of this series. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
