I was on an emotional high reading the struggles that Nathan and Eva have to go through to try an keep their relationship together. Just when you think that it is perfect in walks another competitor in their lives. It was a constant fight like any true relationship. If what you want is there then you will FIGHT whomever and whatever you must to come out victorious.
Fight is the continuation of Struggle by P. A. Jones. Nathan and Eva finally have the relationship they want and low and behold momma comes to town with a hidden agenda. Eva's mother is not the only problem to contend with in their relationship. Nathan's hatred of his nemesis Peter and his need to win in the octagon may just be getting in the way of their happiness. For Nathan to feel successful he must compete in a tournament across the county and take himself away from Eva. With other planting seeds of doubt in Eva's life about her goals, Eva must do the unthinkable and work for her mother. Will Nathan and Eva be able to keep there relationship or will the struggles of work get in the way?
Decent story line! Way too many typos! Had to read over so many sentences to understand it because of the typos! Other than that frustration, I liked the characters!
I loved the cover and how could you not be enticed to read this from that alone, still unconvinced? Ok let my man Nathan lead the way lol. Struggle 2 follows Eva and Nathan's story from the first book which I had read. We catch up with these two amazing beautiful characters, we see them work at their relationship to stay together. Whilst being in love, they both try to resolve their own problems and insecurities, Eva fights with her conscience to give up her dreams of having a career in running or run the family business, and Nathan's dream to make it as a professional mma fighter, beating his nemesis Peter. This couple had to fight their way out of obstacles that seemed to keep tearing them apart. Eva's mother was one manipulative woman! Eva was such a sweet and gentle girl, one who couldn't seem to escape her mother's plans causing her heartache and looking at making sacrifices, she tried to find her own way out of her dilemma, when she had no one else to lean on for support in her times of crisis, and at times frustrated the hell out of Nathan who could clearly see what Eva's mother was all about, all though at times she even shocked him further as to the lengths she went to break them up. Now Nathan was just so sweet, dreamy, possessing not only good looks, charm, physique and edging on just damn perfection! He sure hits a low and has much more on his plate to deal with than Eva, his business, his fighting career, his ex and his best friend Mason. I loved how Mason was bought into the story and how he put Nathan first attempting to rebuild their friendship. This is a sweet romance novel, not too antsy, one that I really enjoyed reading, the scenes were hot and Nathan had such a way with words lol, also told in both pov's. I hope there's a third book as I need more from Eva and Nathan. This published copy is not error free in spelling etc. but I let Nathan and Eva keep me on the path to their love story, and it's nothing a re-edit couldn't easily resolve. Give it a go!
Hmmm absolutely loved Nathan and Eva, but I wanted to shake them both hard.
Nathan was having a hard time financially, and got an interview for a great job, which came with a catch! The position was with Eva's mothers company, what an awful, terrible woman! You don't know why she is doing what she is doing, but she is definitely used to getting her own way! Why he didn't tell Eva about the things her mother was doing didn't add up!
We get a bit of a history of Eva's relationship with her Mother, because lets face it she is not a Mom!
you can still feel the love between Nathan and Eva, but somethings are changing, the love is very deep, but they are both hiding things on the surface.
Thought Chloe was behaving kind of odd, but she was having trouble with her boyfriend Martin, he turned out to be a douche!
So on the whole, when Eva and Nathan were together they were great, but Eva's mother was determined to get between them.
Eva listened to her mothers sob story and instantly her views towards her mother changed, it just wasn't going to end well.
Nathan decided he was going to put more effort into his hobby, his fighting, as his career was nose diving.
I loved how Nathan finally got his mind in the right place, He appeared to have lost his way with their relationship but they both didn't communicate properly and feel that before we get a satisfactory ending they are going to have to do a lot of talking.
Ok the second book in the struggle series keep me on my toes and a rollcoaster ride I guess you would say with Eva and Nathan . Just when you think you got something figured out oh heck no here comes the dosey to mess it all up again . In this book of course you find out that Nathan has some financial problems because of some lost accounts then in comes Mrs . Clark which is Eva mom which is nothing but big ole trouble that wants nothing but Nathan out out of Eva life .At the same time durning this story the wicked ex-wife comes back around to start trouble to so many roller coaster rides in this book but you never see Nathan lose faith in the love he has for Eva but there is times you just wish they would be honest and he would tell her what her mom is doing to him but he is trying to keep from hurting her but he is losing everything to save her ... A wonderful story I think well written.
This is the second book I the struggle series and I must say it is a book you don’t want to pass up. Nathan and Eva’s story ended in the first book where Eva’s mother was coming to live with Eva. But Eva’s mother had other thoughts for Eva’s live and it didn’t include Nathan in it. After offering a job to Nathan as long as he would move away and never see Eva again, Nathan had and wanted to defeat his archenemy Peter. Eva does something she would never want to do but if it means that she can help and be with Nathan forever she will. Will Nathan accept what Eva is doing for them or will he walk away and try on his own. You don’t want to miss this next book as you will have some ups and some downs and it is totally worth it. I couldn’t put it down. Check it out today.
I received an ARC eBook in exchange for an honest review. This was an emotional rollercoaster ride for young lovers Nathan and Eva. Ex-wives, arch enemies, meddling and manipulative mother are just a few of the obstacles that continually try to come between Nathan and Eva. Our hero Natan had numerous fights in this book and the fight scenes were very descriptive. There were a lot if grammatical issues in this book, but I didn't think it took away too much from the overall story the author was trying to convey. There are still a lot of questions and situations that need to be addressed, so I look forward to reading Book 3.
Oh my goodness this book was just amazing! Nathan and Eva have been through so much and this book was just one thing after another. Evas mother constantly trying to tear them apart was making me nervous, but i loved how Eva trusted Nathan and didnt make big deals out of everything. I was definitely worried when Eva left, but Nathan proved that he wouldnt let her go and got her back! I cant wait for the next book. Evas mother definitely needs to be taken down a notch. I hope Nathan exposes her! This is a must read series!
Well as I feared the book looks like it was not edited. The story in this book was ok. I don't know much about any type of boxing, those parts maybe me feel like I was watching a match. But the rest left me not feeling what was going on. I will read book 3 since they go fast and I hate to leave things unfinished. Please have someone edit these then put them back out.
The writing in this book improved quite a bit from book 1 and I am very happy about that. This couple is sweet, but kind of immature. He needs to come clean with her about her mother...what a witch. I am really starting to like Mason and hope that he and Chloe can have their own stories.
