This beautiful Anthology was a gift from Greta Rose West and a group of fellow authors.
I’m going to do a rolling review of the stories as i read them.
4 🌟Naturally,i went straight to Greta Rose’s story first,since i know and love her stories.
Long Lost Christmas Cowboy was no exception,it was sweet with a bit of spice and heartwarming.
Lizzie and Evan found eachother at Manny’s bar at a time they both were hurting.
That evening left a lasting impression on both,right until they found eachother again six years later.
In different circumstances,their lives miles apart,but still having that connection.
Lizzie has become the singer/songwriter she wanted to become,and Evan is a famous wildlife photographer while living quietly on his patch of land on the Teton Mountains.
But Lizzie has been deeply hurt by her ex and her financial manager.
Luckily,Evan will be closeby to pick up the pieces….
This story had all the things i adore in Greta Rose’s stories,and it left me with the smile she always leaves me with when i’m finished.
3🌟 Ride With Me by Brooke Montgomery is about Katie/Ruby who built a new life for herself after serving a sentence for shooting her stepfather.
She just got out of a 6 year relationship with Nash,who refused to commit himself to her.
The advice her friends give her to get over him by getting under another man sounds like a good idea to Nash’s former friend Levi,who’s had his eye on her for a very long time.
But while they’re getting close and comfortable,Nash isn’t ready to let go…..even if he had another girl.
Things get dangerous for a bit,and her past gets dragged into it,but she gets saved.
Only,what does Levi think of her once he hears who she really is?
Sweet story,with a bit of spice,one that i enjoyed.
4🌟August by Ashley James
Is the story of how the adorable virgin barista Tripp breaks the bad habits of the playboy cowboy August after bumping into him with a large container of flour. August is the love 'em and leave 'em kind of guy,but he can't seem to be able to let go of the cute guy after getting a healthy taste. Only,once Tripp hears from his collegue Chloe what a playboy August is,he tells him straight out he's not going there with him....How can August convince Tripp he really,really wants to keep him?
I enjoyed this sweet little story.
4🌟 It’s Your Love by Bailey Hannah
Is the story of how cowboy Beau and country star Keeley reconnect when he finds her livestream.
They used to live next door to eachother,but lost contact when her family moved.
When his contribution to her livestream is an instant hit,she asks him to join her on stage when her tour hits Canada.
That turns out to be a succes too,and not just because they sing so beautiful together.
So,when her manager asks if he’d like to join them on the Canadian leg of Keeley’s tour,he jumps at the opportunity.
Playing her “fake” boyfriend comes so naturally the lines start to blurr quickly,and before long,they both have feelings that are very real…..
But what will happen when the Canadian leg of the tour ends,and she doesn’t ask him to come to Europe with him??
Another sweet story that i enjoyed.
3🌟 Wild Storm by Kacey Shea
Is a story about how 30 year old Jamie doesn’t care what the town thinks of 48 year old widower Charles Jones,and treats him like a human being.
More than that,she wants to get to know him,find out what makes him tick,and get dirty with him.
Her opportunity comes when he’s her last customer at her father’s store as a winter storm is gaining strenght.
Going home with him to make sure he has all of his supplies means she’s stuck there….and gets her wish!
What will happen to these two after the storm,after the roads are cleared,is the question i’m left with…..
4🌟 To Hell Fire and Back by Bonnie Poirier
Is the story of how Natalie found herself alone in the world after her granny died.
Deciding it was time to broaden her horizon,she accepted a job as a nanny for the summer on the Hell Fire Ranch.
The girl’s grandparents that hired her,tell her about Millie and her father Dixon on the way home,so she knows a little about what to expect.
But meeting Millie and Dixon is nothing like she expected,at all…..and once she gets to know them,she knows it’s going to be very hard to say goodbye when her time is up.
Because they’re quickly becoming the family she’d love to call her own….
Sweet story of a lonely girl finding a new home.

Is the story of how Skylar gets the best Christmas present ever after finding her boyfriend cheating on her….
Even worse,finding a flat tire on her car makes her call her best friend Brad,only she calls his dad by mistake.
The dad she’s been secretly wanting for a long time,and knowing it would kill her friendship with Brad,never acted on it.
Only,it seems Lucas is very much aware of how grownup Skylar is…..and has been having the same problem she has.
With Brad and his partner Flinn at Flinn’s parents for Christmas,there should be no harm in indulging a little….right?
But can they leave it at that,or can they have it all??
A hot little story of how dreams dó come true sometimes.
3🌟A Sky Full Of Stars by Elizabeth Bright tells the story of Jenny and her brother’s best friend Ted,who she’s loved for a very long time.
Only problem is that he’s put her in the friends position and she doesn’t think he’ll change that….ever.
So,maybe it’s time to forget about her dreams,and find someone else to take his place?
Only,Ted doesn’t plan on letting her get away that easy…..because losing the only woman he’s ever loved isn’t an option for him.
Sweet story about how taking a chance is so worth it,and friends cán become lovers.
3🌟 His One And Only Cowgirl by Erin Parisien is about Jana who ends up on her former CO’s ranch after leaving the army.
Finding a place she fits in,finding friends that end up feeling like family is the best thing that could’ve happened to her.
Well….second best,because meeting the ranch mechanic Ethan is the very best!
If only their first date hadn’t ended in disaster…..
But Ethan can be very patient…..and once she’s ready to give them another chance,he’s right there.
Sweet little story that i enjoyed.
4🌟 Whiskey Cowboy by Walker Rose is the story of Iverson and Sunny.
He and his brothers work on Hawthorn ranch,but Myles Frost,who’d been a foster kid in the same house as them for a short while,has been asking him to sell the land their father left to them.
He’s willing to give a good price,but the brothers hold back because they know that money won’t last….
One night at the local bar,he meets a new face,and she’s looking for a good time.
So,he gives her one,but that one night was enough for Sunny to get under his skin….shame he’ll never see her again.
Until,to his shock,he does the very next day,and Sunny turns out to be his boss’s daughter Jamison!
And his boss has a strict rule of “no fucking around on the ranch” and especially “no fucking his daughters”!
Can they find a way around it,or will it end in disaster……
Lovely little story of taking chances,and stepping away from the beaten path.

This is a series I’ve read and am up to date with. So this was fun. This is set after fall with me, and before only with me. Ruby, a hand at the ranch, winds up she’s got a little bit of a hidden past. Levi, the ex boyfriend’s childhood friend & team roper. There was a lot that happened in the second half of this, holy Jesus. I could’ve read a whole book of them.

A collection of 10 novellas, all cowboy, all spicy, and wow so much emotion! Wow each story is emotion filled, HEA yes but oh they gotta go through some things, it doesn’t come easily at all. Some stories though just end, yes novella so I had to expect but stings a little. Some ended but it closed, just some that left soooo many open ends. Still very good.

Cute anthology!! Full disclosure - I did not read all the stories in this anthology and thus only the stories I read are reflected in this review.
Ride With Me - Brooke Montgomery - 4 stars!
Ruby gets out of a relationship and finds herself getting under her ex’s ex best friend in the best ways.
Levi has always been attracted to Ruby and now’s his chance to show her how good they can be. But the past is about to rear its ugly head. Sweet and spicy story with a HEA.
August - Ashley James - 3.5 stars!
A notorious and confident playboy meets his match in shy and cute Tripp. August is a smooth talking cowboy that’s never wanted a relationship until he meets Tripp. But Tripp doesn’t want to just be another notch in August’s belt. August is going to have to convince Tripp they’re not just one and done.
Both August and Tripp were refreshing characters and their personalities surprised me. I am not a fan of the whole manwhore trope but here it worked. I think I hoped Tripp would have been a little more alpha. But overall a sweet and spicy read that ends on a HFN.

Bailey Hannah proves why she's one of my new favourite authors! This felt so young and wistful and just gave a different and unexpected vibe from the rest of the Wells Ranch series but in the best way. It still make me feel warm and cozy and had a sexy, dirty mouthed cowboy to make it fit right in with the rest. Nance is MVP and thank you for the immaculate Country Strong vibes!

Van and Eli have a strong connection and share stories about the reasons for their sadness with each other. Eli shares that she wants to be a singer. Van convinces her to sing for him in the parking lot of the bar. After she sings for him, they share an amazing kiss then Eli leaves to pursue her dream of being a singer. They both think of that night at Manny's often over the years.
Six years later Eli is returning to Wisper and her thoughts return to that night in the parking lot with Van. When she once again encounters Van, they realize the spark is still there. As they reconnect Evan and Lizzie's connection is much deeper than the night they shared at Manny's. But Lizzie's life is singing, and Evan doesn't want to leave his home. Will they once again walk away from each other so Eli can continue to pursue her dream?

She's just gotten out of a 6-year relationship with a guy who wouldn't commit, only to find out that he was playing around behind her back for months before they broke up. Ruby starts spending time with Levi, who just so happens to be Ruby's ex-boyfriend's long-time friend....
Ruby and Levi have a pretty great connection and great chemistry...Ruby's ex doesn't like them being together and he knows Ruby's deepest, darkest secret......one she is terrified will alienate Levi and those close to her for good.

My review for Ride With Me by Brooke Montgomery

Ride With Me by Brooke Montgomery is a Novella from her Sugarland Creek series. If you are new to the series, have no fear, you can read Ruby and Levi's story as a standalone. But, be warned, this novella will have you wanting to jump head first into this series!
Ruby thought she found the love of her life at eighteen years old. But, six years later and still no ring has her ending her long term relationship. Still heartbroken, Ruby decides to heal her heartbreak by spending a night tangled up in the sheets with a stranger. But Levi, Nash's friend, has an idea of his own when it comes to Ruby.
For years, Levi has stood on the sidelines and watched his best friend sweep the girl of his dreams off her feet. Now that Ruby is single, he's not about to let her out of his sights for a second time. It's now his turn to show Ruby how a real man treats the woman he is in love with.
My Thoughts:
When I found out that Brooke Montgomery had a novella coming out in the Saddles and Sweethearts collection, I just knew I had to get my hands on this book as soon as possible! I'm obsessed with her Sugarland Creek Series! Everything from the swoony moments to the small town vibes were a love for me!! EEK! Let's get started with my thoughts on Ride With Me by Brooke Montgomery.
Ride With Me is told from both Levi and Ruby's point of view. As I said above, this novella can be read as a standalone. This novella does come with a few slight triggers, such as child abuse (Off Page) and gun violence (On Page). I'm going to avoid as many spoilers as I possibly can. But given the fact that this is a novella, that task may be more difficult than I'm imagining so bare with me.
Let's start with Ruby! Ruby is tough as nails, but growing up in the house she grew up in will morph any human into that persona. Given the fact that this is a novella, I was worried that I wasn't going to be able to connect with Ruby's character. Surprisingly, that wasn't the case at all. I felt myself cheering on Ruby when it boils down to finally finding her happily ever after. My heart loved her point of view, and her overall story. I also loved the fact that she worked hard for everything she has earned in life.
And then we have Levi. I loved Levi's ambition when it comes to getting Ruby to see him for the man he is. I loved the 'I refuse to be shadowed by the man you used to be with' vibes he was throwing off in this novel. He made it his life's mission to prove himself to Ruby, and I think the task was done effortlessly!
The main reason why I dropped a ½ star on my rating was the for the sole purpose that I wanted more! I wasn't ready to let these two leave my life. It felt like I had just got invested in a story and it was over. That is mainly my issue. I have a love/hate relationship with novellas.
Overall, I think Brooke Montgomery did a great job of bringing the emotions to the surface. I felt the chemistry and the connection between Ruby and Levi from the very start!! These two are fire! If you have the chance to read Ride With Me by Brooke Montgomery, I hope you love this romance as much as I did!!

It was cute. A lot of cute short love stories. Now, I admit I have only read 3 of them; those were the only 3 I was really interested in, to be honest. Maybe I’ll read the others a little later, but for right now, the 3 I DID read were really cute. The 1st one I read was “Ride With Me” by Brooke Montgomery; I was really interested in reading it ‘cause I’ve been reading her Sugarland Creek series, and this was a little short story based on that series. It was good, not great, but good; hence, the 4 star rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I like the Taylor Swift’s “You’re Losing Me” energy I got it from it. Trust me, if you read it & you’re a Swiftie like me, you’ll understand what I mean. 😉 The next story I read was “August” by Ashley James. I just chose it because I was intrigued by the author’s email that I got about it. It was also good, not great; so, hence the 4 star-rating overall. It actually turned out to be my first gay-cowboy romance that I ever read. I didn’t realize that going into it at first, but I’m all for the LGTBQ+ community, so I totally didn’t mind reading a gay romance! 😊🏳️🌈 And the last story I chose to read was “Long Lost Christmas Cowboy” by Greta Rose West, (even though Christmastime is far away from now 😅). Same thing happened with this story as with the 2nd story I read: I got intrigued by the author’s email about her series. Now as far as I know, this short story is a standalone & not part of any series, but don’t quote on that. 😉 Now, her SERIES is what intrigued me (mostly ‘cause it appears to have gay characters in it, as well), so I’ll be reading that next. 😊 THIS short standalone story itself was also cute & sweet, again, not great. So, once again, the 4 star-rating I gave it. Like I said earlier, maybe I’ll read the other stories later on, but for now, these are my thoughts on the 3 stories I DID read in this Anthology! 👍🏻😊

Started well enough, but unfortunately went off rails towards the end; it asked me to suspend way too much disbelief, far too quickly. I also found the dialogue awkward, with minimal personality. Unfortunately, this one was a miss for me.
“August” by Ashley James, 4⭐️
Solidly written throughout, this budding romance features focuses on new experiences for both MMCs. August and Tripp had good chemistry, which made for some adorable and spicy moments.
“It's Your Love” by Bailey Hannah, 5⭐️
Well written all around, with the perfect amount of spice and romance. The tension and chemistry between Keely and Beau was electric. I’ll be checking out this author’s novels in future.
“Wild Storm” by Kacey Shea, 3.5⭐️
A little too insta-love, but I could totally get on board with the insta-lust, as the chemistry was crackling. However, the ending was super abrupt, just when it felt like the story was really starting.
“Long Lost Christmas Cowboy” by Greta Rose West, 4.5⭐️
Cute, heartfelt, and engaging. There was great chemistry between the FMC and MMC, supported by well thought out and believable back stories.
“To Hell Fire and Back” by Bonnie Poirier, 2⭐
I ultimately didn’t mind the premise, given that I'm not into parenting tropes. However, the narrative was let down by characters with minimal personality, awkward dialogue, and little evocative writing. Unfortunately, a miss for me.
“Bouquets & Buckles” by Elliott Rose, 5⭐
I’ve recently learnt that I have a thing for age gap forbidden romances, and this story featuring FMC Skylar and MMC Lucas lived up to all my hopes. The tension. The smut. The angst. The pining. The happy ending. *chef's kiss* Perfect. All perfect.
“A Sky Full of Stars” by Elizabeth Bright, 5⭐️
This was a sweet friends-to-lovers story with great chemistry, with impressive character depth given the short form. Additionally, it was hot AF. Overall, super enjoyable, and an author I’ll be sure to look into in future.
“His One and Only Cowgirl” by Erin Parisien, 4⭐️
A solid friends-to-lovers plot with cute chemistry and second chance vibes between FMC Jana and MMC Ethan. The spice was hot AF, and the hurt/comfort finale made for a strong finish.
“Whisky Cowboy” by Walker Rose, 5⭐
Steamy and romantic, and featuring two of my favourite tropes: age gap and forbidden romance. For a short story, there was plenty of depth to FMC Sunny and MMC Iverson, and so much chemistry that I thought my kindle was going to go up in flames.

It is a lovely selection of stories with a good mixture of sweet and spicy. Each one is different, and some have to work hard to get there HEA. I enjoyed each one as I've only read one of the authors before, Elliott Rose as love anything Crimson Ridge and ot didn't dissapoint. Added several new series to my TBR, including The Wells Ranch series by Bailey Hannah, as the writing was so detailed that you could feel the emotion and excitement in Its Your Love. Brooke Montgomery Sugarland Creek as Ride With Me left me completely hot and wanting more. Greta Rose West lovely second chande story with Long Lost Christmas Cowboy and Kacey Shea Wild storm with Lizzie not listening to the town but her heart. Whiskey Cowboy by Walker Rose was a lovely story and I look forward to reading more. I still haven't finished all the stories, but it's been great so far.

I think this is a very well rounded anthology. It not only does a good job of representing different authors' styles but also contains a bunch different tropes, so that it doesn't feel repetitive at all. Of course, some stories are more insta-lust/love heavy but it is what to be expected with stories that are on the shorter side.
My personal favorites are the ones by: Greta Rose West (no surprise here, since she's the one that introduced me to this collection and I've already been a fan of her books), Brooke Montgomery, Erin Parisien and Walker Rose.
One thing's got me thinking though - since quite a few of those stories are winter and Christmas themed, wasn't this collection supposed to be published during that time of the year?

I’d loved this idea and I loved this book. I read from the first book to the last book. I didn’t skip around because I wanted to read different authors and different writing styles and fall in love with different characters and as I finish books I went to the authors pages and saw what else they had and added it to my Tubi red list And I just really enjoyed this whole concept of coming together and writing Novella’s about a certain genre and giving each person their own spotlight where you get to learn what you like to read or how you like an authors writing it’s the perfect book to learn exactly who might be your favorite in a certain genre

Riding the Bull scene was 😍😍😍😍
This novella is part of the Sugarland Creek Series, that I love, and we finally got to see more from Ruby. I loved her back story, and SO HAPPY she finally got rid of that dead weight ex boyfriend. She did it right, she got the sexy cowboy.
Wish this was longer, loved their banter, their spicy scenes and seeing them fall in love.

Such a lovely little peak into Crimson Ridge and I loved it! I love Rose’s writing and storytelling style. I ate this little novella up and can’t wait for more stories from the small cowboy town of Crimson Ridge!
