I am unwell. Honestly, I am considering picking up the light novels to read this! It’s so fricken good! Top tier yearning and I love that the fmc Reinhardt has so much DEPTH! Like she wants revenge, but she also doesn’t want to see the people she cares for get hurt. Also Wilhelm the man that you became 🫠🫠🫠🫠 👌 Who will literally burn the world for the woman he loves ahhhhh!!!!

Thank whatever diety there is, it is finally over. This shitstorm is over.

These characters have nothing to do with their season 1 selves, entire established traits and plots have been forgotten. Oh and, there was rape. Which was also forgiven and forgotten.

Tbh I thought this was gonna head into Wuthering Heights kind of messy aka two messed up people loving each other in the most toxic way and all that blowing up in their faces but nah. Instead, this.
Ugh, I wanna erase it from my memory completely.

A few panels and scenes had me a bit confused. I felt like it jumped a bit. Gotta say I’m a bit uncomfortable with the fact that it feels like a grooming situation here. Even if by accident. I’m not sure I’ll continue with the series.

Une suite que j’appréhendais, mais qui m’a bien plu. On est plus sur un conflit politique mâtiné de revanche de la part de l’héroïne que sur une romance même si on se doute bien que ça finira, peut-être, par arriver.

Ce tome est dur à lire, car notre héroïne est obligée d’envoyer son meilleur ami Dietrich et le jeune Will à la guerre. Ce qui nous amène à une ellipse temporelle que je trouve bien trouvée et utile pour la suite de la narration.

Reinhardt est une jeune femme au caractère bien trempé qui a été élevée pour être reine. Bien que déchue de sa position, elle fait tout pour pouvoir un jour se venger du prince et de la famille royale qui l’ont exilée en terre hostile. Mais ceux-ci ne sont pas en reste. C’est vraiment happant à lire.
Et puis, il y a Wilhelm, le fameux chien fou, qui est loin d’être naïf et un imbécile. Il a bien compris que la jeune femme qui l’a sauvé et recueilli souhaite se servir de lui, de ses compétences et de sa fureur, mais cela ne le dérange pas.
Ici, on le voit évoluer, tout comme son comportement envers Reinhardt qui devient plus possessif et un brin malaisant.

Concernant le graphisme, il reste égal et il met bien en valeur le scénario. C’est très chouette à regarder. De fait, je suis vraiment contente d’avoir misé sur cette série que je trouve bien pensée, plutôt adulte et avec une histoire qui pour l’instant tient la route. C’est une bonne romantasy graphique avec un slow burn que je suis curieuse de voir évoluer.

Ich fand den Reihenauftakt schon extrem stark und bin so froh, dass Band 2 da mithalten konnte!
Ich wurde leider vorab gespoilert und werde daher nichts weiter zum Inhalt sagen. Die Story geht jedoch wirklich stark weiter und die Spannung, die Band 1 aufbaut, wird direkt benutzt und in die Höhe getrieben. Die Charakterentwicklungen sind sehr stark und ich bin gespannt in welche Richtung sich die Story entwickelt. Ich finde den Plot bisher sehr einzigartig und kenne keinen Titel, der dem ganz ähnlich ist. Natürlich ist es eine Art Isekai, in dem die Protagonistin ihr Wissen aus dem vorherigen Leben, hier dem, das sie nun wieder führt, nutzen kann. Ich liebe es, dass sie sich dasurch einen Vorteil verschafft und zu einem starken Charakter wird.
Von mir gibt es eine ganz klare Empfehlung für die Reihe und ich bin wirklich extrem gespannt wie es weitergeht.

If the first volume made you leery, I would not read this one. Well, that's not entirely true; I would recommend being a little uncomfortable from time to time to gain new experiences and insights, but fully allow that no one will judge you for turning away from this hot mess.

But if you liked the first volume, then by all means, keep reading - this one is great! The story continues to be a deeply compelling political drama with nuanced and layered characters who are firmly in the grey portion of the scale, for sure mostly, but definitely leaning a bit dark, yeah, a bit dark.

There is a direct correlation between how much the MCs make you side eye and how good the story gets. I don't really want to spoil the gorgeously spiraling disaster unfolding here but the end result is I wanna know what happens next and I'm not apologizing. :: shrug emoji ::

While I am enjoying myself... I am also not sure if I want to continue. The romance is just NOT working for me. I know that she has no blood ties/family ties with Wilhelm, but given that she practically raised him/educated him, the romance feels bad and I just cannot root for them. Not to mention Wilhelm is WAY too obsessed with Rein, eww. It feels icky somehow. And the rest is just not that interesting, war, politics, that kind of stuff. Oh, and I hate that they did that to that person.
Some bonus points for Rein being awesome and trying her best + the gorgeous art.

Dietrich's death actually devastated me. However, there is no body so I'm holding out hope.

Wilhelm definitely matured this volume and though we don't see him much with Reinhardt, their relationship has definitely taken a turn.

Reinhardt's revenge is well under way so I personally hope that she kicks Michel's arse. He is such a douchecanoe.

Literally moved to tears! This volume takes things into new levels of hostile takeover as the war takes on. When tragedy takes another loved one away the bat emotions of the main cast soon me to my core and made years side down from my eyes.

Any story that can shake up this many emotions in me deserves it's props!

Ich werde mir bald Band 3 kaufen hehe. Bin traurig was mit einem Charakter passiert ist, aber Rheyna und Wilhelm sind immer noch sehr cute und momentan gibt es nichts, was es zum absoluten favorite macht, aber auch nichts, was es irgendwie herunterzieht. Weiter geht's!
