Buzzing Easter Bunnies

Rate this book
The sequel to BLUE CHRISTMAS BALLS from Nick Spalding, the bestselling author of the smash hit romantic comedy Love... From Both Sides and its sequels Love... And Sleepless Nights & Love... Under Different Skies.

Every story needs a decent climax...

There are plenty of things Christina Barclay would like to do before she hits thirty at Easter. Having an orgasm with somebody else in the room is most definitely one of them.

Up to now, her love life has been sorely lacking in the toe-curling department - but luckily for Christina, she's just started dating Matthew Adrian Bunion, a man whose bedroom inexperience is more than made up for by his never-ending enthusiasm. Mr Bunion will not rest until his new girlfriend is satisfied - no matter what the cost in rechargeable batteries, physical injury or public embarrassment.

From the best-selling author of BLUE CHRISTMAS BALLS and LOVE... FROM BOTH SIDES, this is the story of one woman and one man on an epic quest to come together, and celebrate an Easter birthday in style.

This is a 24,000 word novella - about 115 pages in paperback.

Nick Spalding

Nick Spalding is an author who, try as he might, can't seem to write anything serious.

Before becoming a full-time author, he worked in the communications industry, mainly in media and marketing. As talking rubbish for a living can get tiresome (for anyone other than a politician), he thought he'd have a crack at writing comedy fiction - with a very agreeable level of success so far, it has to be said. Nick is now a multimillion seller. This flabbergasts him every single day.

Nick is now in his fifties - and is rather annoyed at the universe about it, because it gave him no choice in the matter. He's also addicted to Thai food and roast potatoes (not together), loves Batman and Warhammer, and has a dreadful singing voice.

I loved Matthew's story in 'Blue Christmas Balls', so I just knew I was equally gonna love Christina's story, and I wasn't disappointed!
As it's only a short read of under 100 pages, I started and finished this read this afternoon (accompanied by some yummy Easter eggs) 😋.
Christina's sexual adventures are not quite as mortifying as Matt's but together, they are quite the unlucky pair. I laughed, I cried from laughter... and then giggled quietly to myself as people were looking at me! 🙈🙈
The second book that I have read from this author, and it certainly won't be the last!.

I have read Blue Christmas balls also by the same author and i strongly suggest reading them in that order as the primary male character is common.
I loved this book just as much as the previous Nick Spalding books and found it difficult to put it down once I’d started. I’m not the worlds most avid reader but the past six months has seen my book completion increase purely due to this one author.
Give his books a try if you’re ok with light reading with a lot of humour.

Warning – do not read whilst in public.

This is described as a Laugh Out Loud Comedy Sequel, and by golly it is. It is the sequel to Blue Christmas Balls which I absolutely loved. And follows the adventures (misadventures) of Mathew Bunion and his new girlfriend Christina in his effort to lose his virginity and to help her gain an orgasm from an actual penis.

The story is mainly told from Christina’s POV and there were times when I had to stop reading so that I could wipe the tears from my eyes. Also, as I read in bed, I had to forgo this one, because by husband complained that I made the bed shake from laughing and he could not sleep.

But I have to add that it is a lot more than a comedy, it is also quite a touching love story. Though only short, you get to know the characters, and I admit, I fell in love with both. I would really like to meet this couple again.

Do not read Buzzing Eater Bunnies until you have read Blue Christmas Balls, its prequel. Like Blue Balls, this is an entertaining, yet over-the-top, quick atypical holiday tale. In this edition Christine, a rapidly approaching thirty year old nurse, is hoping to improve her sex life by finally reaching orgasm while having sex with a man, an accomplishment that has thus far alluded her. Her new boyfriend is more than willing to try anything to make this happen... and I mean anything.

Christina, poor Christina. She’s turning thirty and is in pursuit of an orgasm during sex. She’s never had a man attend to her needs, but Matt seems different.

He finally loses his virginity, so he wants to help her with her issue. Too much research on the internet leads him to too many strange ideas which lead to fiascos.

But, throughout it all, he really does care about Christina, so in the end, It’s love that makes all the difference.

Great humour, but for the last idea, but it all works out.

Similar to Blue Christmas Balls, but felt more seedy somehow.
It was entertaining enough, but the humour felt quite dated. I was a little surprised to see that it was published in 2014 - I would have guessed that it was 5-10 years older than that.
Maybe it just wasn't for me, but it was a quick read, and not all bad.

The Byline Delivers its promise!

I've had abdominal surgery twice and with it comes adhesions... I think I have ripped some apart from the uncontrollable laughter this story induced. And this was only 72 pages, I'm a bit scared to try one of Nick's full length novels. LoL but I know that I won't be able to resist it in the end.

3/5 stars. It’s fine for what it is. It’s not as funny and the main character is not as endearing as the first instalment, Blue Christmas Balls. It does have a consistent level of humour; it’s just not as high a level this time around.

Enjoyed this short read. Unfortunately I read it before Christmas Blue Balls and didn't see this is actually the sequel.

Funny read, good for some down time.

The main character was likeable but you could often tell she was written by a man.

Very Funny

A great follow up to blue xmas balls. No drawn out boring bits just short and to the point great comedy writing by a very entertaining author. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Still laugh when I think of some of the exploits.

Hilarious and quick sequel, this time from a female POV.

Read it only if you aren't uncomfortable with the subject matter.

Disappointing outing this time.

Not up to Spalding's usual standard, seems to be just a pot boiler.

Readable and that's about it.

Ideal reading for teenagers.

Hahah this was so so funny much better than his Christmas one. I was reading this at 1:30am and trying hard not to laugh out loud and wake my husband. Definitely for lighthearted fun.

Sequel to Nick's Blue Christmas Balls' Novella. Equally as funny, equally as rude, equally as short.

Nick Spalding is fast becoming my favourite author.

I read Buzzing Easter Bunnies in record time, after LOL'ing all the way through Blue Balls, and this did not disappoint. Was just as funny and crude, and enjoyable.

Any chance of a 3rd book for this loveable couple, Nick?

Another great romping of a story!!!

Having just read Blue Christmas Balls I felt I had to read the sequel, and I was not disappointed! This time it's all about Christina, Matt's girlfriend and the fact that she is about to hit 30 and not had an orgasm in her life. Cue Matthew in his quest to help Christina and his way out ideas! I had a good chuckle and laugh in the process! A great way to spend a hour or so with this short story.

Review: I was sent this book by the author for an honest review and saved it to read on Easter Sunday, when I would be able to sit down and read it all. I am really glad that I'd I'd this as this was the perfect light entertainment for Easter Sunday afternoon! I laughed so hard at this novella and yet it was a such a good storyline, I got really involved in it and in the characters.

As a woman about to turn thirty myself, I really identified with main character Christina and found her quest for an orgasm really funny! She is a likeable character and morally realistic. I think she was straight talking, which I always admire in a character and her ideas for why she hasn't achieved the big O yet are also really insightful. Matthew is also a straight talking character and he reminded me of Leonard from Big Bang Theory, a loveable geek. I really like the fact that he owned up to his inexperience straight away, although it never really was explained how he ended up in A & E with something inserted into his rectum...

This novella is a wonderful break from reality and could definitely be read at any time of year, not just Easter Sunday! It was funny, it was insightful, it was real. I enjoyed it from start to finish and literally devoured it all in one go. If you've got an hour or so to kill this is definitely the way you should spend it, although be warned, there are plenty of comedy sex moments throughout!

As soon as I'd read blue Christmas balls I downloaded this straight away as I loved Matt and just had to see how his hapless love/sex life panned out. This was another hilarious instalment from Nick. I read it in one morning as I couldn't put it down. Loved it. I identified with the characters, which was disconcerting to say the least, but that's what Nick does with his honest writing, see life as it really is, and I like it.
