inspiring
My grandson loves soccer so I got this book we could read together we both have enjoyed the energy that you take from this book. This has been a lesson to my grandson that hard work is noticed.Very enjoyable book.

Energetic and exciting
The book keeps you on your toes and was a really enjoyable read for my 8 year old son. Highly recommend it to soccer fans!

Very good book.
It was an interesting story with lots of energy and cliff hangers. I would recommend it to kids ages 8 to 12, but also for older people!

Great story for all soccer lovers
My son loved this book. He loves soccer and it’s a great story. The main character, Max, is a very relatable character. He is a typical tween who is sometimes embarrassed by his Dad and happens to love playing soccer. My son is 8 and I probably would have had my son read this book when he was 10 or 11 just for personal preferences since we don’t use words like “jerk” or “idiot”. However, it is perfect for tweens and who doesn’t love a story about a kid showing perseverance and determination. Highly recommended!

Very entertaining
This highly entertaining book will appeal to young readers by speaking to them in their own language. It will also help your child with their soccer if they are into the sport but I think kids will like the story even if they don't play soccer. It's a good vocabulary builder but also just a fun book that will get your kids into reading!

Once again an excellent job
Once again, this author did an excellent job. When the main character is struggling with getting picked on a team, struggling with soccer in general, it really shows how much the author made the characters care.
These are great books for kids when it comes to teaching them about struggles and triumphs. Nothing comes easy especially for kids.
