First they were friends, then they were nothing—until he got tired of pretending she wasn’t everything to him.

Leah: It’s a tale as old as time and the number one rule of friendship–you don’t fall for your best friend’s older brother. But, what happens when the crush you’ve harbored for said brother turns into more, after building a friendship with him you can’t fathom losing? I’ll tell you what, you end up heartbroken anyways.

Sawyer:
She’s the one person I was never supposed to want, and the only person I’ve never been able to get out of my head–my little sister’s best friend. When the reality hits that I could lose her forever, if I played my hand wrong, I make a last ditch effort to save what we have—only to end up ruining it all in the end. But, I’m back now and I’m not leaving again.

Not until I have my girl.

My dear Sarah. I’m blown away. This book is beautiful.

It captured me from the start and kept me hooked. Leah and Sawyer are everything. The love they have for each other is so special. There is nothing like the first and only.

Then there is the shock that you didn’t know was coming that will break your heart. You can feel the pain of both Leah and Sawyer. I fell asleep last night and got up at 3 am to finish the book because I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

This will be a reread in the future for sure!

“Have my babies, Thirteen.”

LEAH AND SAWYER. MY HEART. MY LOVES.

“Get in your knees for me, Sawyer.”

I promised myself I wouldn’t love any other Nashville Night series characters more than I loved Tank and Ruby. I truly didn’t think Sarah could top their raw emotional love. Well she did. Leah and Sawyer laughed in my face, smashed through Tank and Ruby, and are chilling at top spot. (Jokes on them, I’m pretty sure Lauren and her mans are going to end up my favs 🤪)

“Let me know when you lose the boyfriend, Leah. You were never supposed to be with him anyway.”

Their story was filled with so much EMOTION. So many tears (both good and bad) and so much fucking laughter. Sarah is hysterical and her humor is out to PLAY in WFF.

“Because at least the decision I did make, let you keep your best friend. Even if I lost mine.”

The found family always shines in Sarah’s book but there’s just something about the way the boys accept Sawyer into the crew that could literally make me cry. His and tanks friendship? One of my absolute favorite parts. I laughed pretty much any time the boys were on page. The texts? The best.

“That kiss should’ve been mine.”

Childhood friends to lovers just hits ✨different✨ especially when they’ve been pining for each for over 10 years 🫠 the way he loves her? The jealousy? The care that he has with her? I’m just so unwell over them. Someone come pick me up off the floor. Or just bury me. Either way I’m dying over them.

“I could stare at you for the rest of eternity and never stop finding new things to adore about you.”

If you haven’t met the Nashville nights gang, what are you doing? You *can* start with WFF but I recommend starting at the beginning with Waiting for Sunshine and meeting everyone else first (WFF has spoilers for the first three books) and if you have read the first three, GO READ ABOUT LEAH AND SAWYER SO WE CAN SCREAM ABOUT THEM TOGETHER

Leah & Sawyer

I started this book in Nov 2024 and just could not get into it as quickly as I have gotten into the rest of the Nashville Nights books. I ended up pausing it for about two months at about 50% though and picked it back up today Feb 2025 and finished it in one day.

The second half of the book was much more captivating to me and I just balled constantly for the last almost 20% of the book.

My heart! ♥️ I am in love with this story so much! Leah and Sawyers story is a beautiful friends to lovers story. Them being best friends above all else is my favorite, it’s so relatable too. The lighthouse as the cover is so perfect now that I know what it represents😭 *so many tears* Leah is fierce af in this book and I’m obsessed with her!

I’m so in love with each of the couples in the Nashville Nights series but man the bond that Leah and Sawyer have is unmatched and I love love his protectiveness/jealousy and of course the spicy is perfection🌶️ Major Tank energy too lol. The found family aspect in the book is strong and the girl chat doesn’t disappoint. I love how Sawyer connects with the other guys basically instantly and their group chat is one of the best too, so hilarious.

The Hockey games were so fun and written really well! I love Leah supporting her mans🫶🏼

Sarah ripped my heat out with this one😭 but this book is everything!! As always this is 10/10 recommend, you will not be disappointed!

Sara does it again, final book in the series wrapped up perfectly. Getting to see Sawyer and Leah‘s relationship unfold after wanting each other for so long was so sweet. Like all the other books in the series, this one will put you in your feels. She will have you cracking up one minute, laughing at the girls and their group chat and then literally have you crying the next page.… I say every time Sarah is amazing at writing plot with spice. Her spice does not take away from the story it adds to it and elevates it. And the found family, the way they accept Sawyer in their group like he’s been there the whole time, loved it. I recommend this series to everybody.

Another 5 stars for book 4 in this series.
I have never wanted to be part of a girl gang more. Everytime I read about these 5, I want in!

Sawyer and Leah’s story is beautiful. It’s comforting and relatable and sweet. They are seriously made for each other.

I laughed. I cried. I gasped. It was a fun read that I couldn’t put down. I wanted to finish it and savor it at the same time.

I don’t think Sarah Pirtle could write a book I don’t love.

It took me two days to finish that book - damn, it is so damn GOOD! I am so OBSESSED with them. But chapters made me laughs, angry, squeal, and in tears. But one chapter made me in tears and thought about my dad - just really wished he would be here but I am in love that book. I REALLY hope that she will write Lauren’s book, bcuz I’m DYING to read her book frfr 😩😩😩😩😩😩

Loved them so much!!

“I want my sister’s best friend in the most sinful ways, and I can’t do a damn thing about it.”

Sawyer thought he was doing the right thing by cutting off all contact with his childhood friend, Leah, after feeling the attraction he has for her and scared to damage their relationship. Now 10 years later after establishing a professional hockey career, a trade brings him back home and he is ready to pursue the only woman he has ever loved.

“I could stare at you for the rest of eternity and never stop finding new things to adore about you.”

It becomes a little complicated since Leah has no intentions to spark up any sort of relationship between the two. What Sawyer didn’t know, is that she was in love with him back then and has no intentions to set herself up to get hurt again.

“I’ve never been able to keep my eyes off of you, Dove.”

We love a determined man and Sawyer is willing to pull out all the stops for her forgiveness and to show her how great they can be together given the chance. I honestly couldn’t put this book down. I was so captivated by their relationship and seeing where their journey led them.

Sarah has such a way to weave in all sort of emotions as you read that you can’t help but root for all these characters. While there were some unexpected twists that gripped my heart, the HEA was so worth it. I’ve fallen hard for this group and the way that they show their unwavering love and support. I was so excited to get little updates about past couples and to see how they embrace Sawyer when he comes home.

I wasn’t ready for their story to end but I can’t wait to see what comes next.

"Waiting for Fate" by Sarah Pirtle was an exceptional continuation of her Nashville Nights series. This is book 4 out of 5 in Pirtle's Nashville Nights series.

This book follows the love story of Leah and Sawyer. Leah is part of the main friend group of this series and Sawyer is the brother of one of her best friends. Throughout high school Leah and Sawyer were best friends as well, until Sawyer stopped all contact with Leah during her senior year in high school. When Sawyer returns to Nashville for good, he's determined to have Leah as his girl.

I acquired this book through preorder as I enjoyed the first 3 books in this series.

Rating on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being exceptional), this is how I rank the following aspects of "Waiting for Fate":
- Quality of writing: 8/10
- Pace: 9/10
- Plot development: 8/10
- Characters: 10/10
- Enjoyability: 9/10
- Ease of Reading: 9/10
- Spicyness: 8/10

In addition, I enjoyed the change of pace with this book compared to the others in the series. The other books all included a male main character who was ex-military. Sawyer is professional hockey player. I've never read a hockey-themed romance before but i enjoyed this one. I also loved the friends-to-enemies-to-lovers aspect of this book. The spicy scenes were great as well. This book was easy-to-read and enjoyable.

I would recommend this book to those who enjoy reading: contemporary romances, friends-to-lovers tropes and best friend's brother tropes. Overall, I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. ☆☆☆☆

Oh my ❤️!!
Sarah outdid herself once again.

Waiting for Fate is the 4th book in the Nashville series and the story is about Leah and Sawyer.

Sawyer is a professional hockey player that fell hard for his high school best friend. As she came with 3 other friends including his sister, he didn’t want to ruin their relationship in case it didn’t work out between them. So he did the only logical thing before anything could ever unfold: he pushed her away and went on with his hockey career after he graduated.

Leah has always had a crush on Sawyer since high school and all these years later, she still does. Even though she now hates him. She’ll never understand why he gave her a cold shoulder when they were best friend and everything was good between them!

10 years later, Sawyer finally return home when he’s traded to play with the Badgers and his goal is to make Leah his, once and for all.

You can feel the pain, feel the love, and feel how protective Sawyer is.

Obviously, the rest of the spice girls (as he calls them) are also in the book hanging/supporting Leah!

This book made me laugh, and cry. It ripped my heart apart. But!!! It was SO good! I recommend it so much!

Tropes:
Second chance
Childhood best friends to lovers
Found family
Hockey romance

TW: Alcohol consumption and death of family.

Review of Waiting for Fate

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
🌶🌶🌶

The fourth book in the Nashville Nights series CAME. TO. PLAY 🙌🏻

The chemistry between Saywer and Leah *swoon* 💚

The group chats between the guys 🤣

The groups chats between the girls 💃🏻

This book had me laughing and sobbing and yelling (angrily and happily) throught the entire time I spent reading. This friend group is probably one of my all time favorites that I have ever read about and I wish I could jump into the books and be apart of it. I loved getting to see the backstory of not just Leah and Sawyer but getting a glimpse at all the girl bffs when they were younger (minus Ruby 😭).

Also watching Sawyer bond with the guys was so much fun and I loved seeing the deeper side to their feelings instead of the stereotypical "tough guy" act.

I also loved seeing the relationship that Leah had with her parents that reminded me so much of my dad and I and I feel like I don't see a close relationship shown a lot in books. Having my own experiences really made me connect to certain aspects of this book and seeing those emotions and actions played out, cracked my heart open. My partner in crime Sarah and I had talked about these parts and I mentioned to her that the way the character was acting and feeling was something I went through almost exactly 4 years ago. Seeing how Sarah Pirtle wrote it so accurately gave me more respect than I already had for her. Going through something like that can be incredibly isolating, so seeing it in one of my favorite series with characters I love makes me feel not so alone.

Sarah, you've done it again and I cannot wait for Lauren's book. I hope you know how much of a difference this series has made in my life and I am so thankful I found you and your books right before you released Waiting for Sunshine 💚💚💚

When I got the ARC I was hyped to read the book.
And it did not disappoint.

After reading Waiting for Redemption(btw an amazing book) I was excited for the Sarah’s next book cause I loved the previous book so muchh.

I started reading and I really related with Leah on the one-sided love part and it leaving crushed and heartbroken. I did relate with the Sawyer a lil but then again not so much on the love part with him.

The book started on very happy note and then it progressed from there. The relationship Leah and Sawyer had been complicated at the beginning but as they realised they were meant to be together, they finally took efforts to work on being together.
And OMG Sawyer was such a fluffy boyfriend when it came to Leah( ahhh… my heart).
All the specific special things he did for Leah literally melted my heart.

Overall the book was very enjoyable and I had a great time reading it and swooning over Sawyer.
And can’t wait for Lauren’s and Lucifer’s(fitz) book.

*Can skip this part of the review if you want*

They were certain things I did not vibe with, like making Jackson the bad guy, I feel like it was not necessary, and that he and Leah could part on good terms.
And one more was the lack of hockey references or hockey talk, it was just like they won the game directly without any proper description, for a hockey trope, I personally felt that hockey was not given the focus it required or it was very less.

Sarah has done it again! I swear every book in Sarah’s Nashville Nights series has been a 5 star read for me. I can not truly pick a favorite couple of mine.

Sarah truly knows how to pull at all of your emotions. You will smile, laugh, cry and swoon through all of her books.

I honestly adored Leah and Sawyer. We got to see their friendship when they were young and where it all went wrong. Your heart will break for these two because you know in your soul they are meant to be together but fate some other plans first. Sawyer takes to heart what his sister says and that is why he disappears from Leah’s life.

I 100% understood where Sawyer was coming from and why he did what he did. I felt myself crying with Taylor when Sawyer opened up to her why he did what he did with Leah. While Taylor is strong I truly felt her break in this moment and just wanted to hug her and Sawyer.

Sawyers' determination through this book to get Leah back and gain her trust was everything. The little dates he took her and the trips were perfect for what they needed. Don’t get me started on the book scenes or the book reenactment scenes (those were perfect!)! I will admit there were times Leah truly shocked me! While our girl was v!rgin she was not afraid to make sawyer get on his knees and beg for her (You go girl!!).

Simply put Sawyer and Leah were perfect together and loved watching them mend their hearts together while also growing and trusting each other again.

Thank You so much Sarah for arc of this book!

I was reading this book as a part of ARC team. Here is my honest review :

🧡Hockey romance
🧡Mutual pining
🧡Best friend’s brother
🧡Childhood friends to lovers
🧡Found family
🧡Possessive cinnamon roll MMC
🧡Second chance
🧡 HEA
🧡Dual POV
🧡 Standalone, but also part of a series

I am Sarah’s fan since her debut novel Waiting for Sunshine! I am literally obsessed with the tight knit girl gang she created! I loved all her books and this one isn’t an exception - just another prove of the rule!

I enjoyed Leah and Sawyer’s story from the first page up until the last! It has has everything : combination of great tropes, lovable main characters, obsessed MMC who is ready to go a mile to win his dream girl back and hot spice 🔥🥵

Sawyer is the first MMC written by Sarah who isn’t former military but a defensemen in NHL … so maybe he isn’t as scarred as other three, but defiantly also an alpha 😍😏

Leah - our sweet inexperienced flower, I loved her character since the beginning and so happy for her HEA! 😍

Gangs all here (for now, until Lauren joins us with her story too)—it’s Sawyer and Leah release day, and I couldn’t be more excited! Sarah outdid herself with this one! It is just absolutely incredible. She took a leap with her first sports romance and gave us a hero to easily fall in love with.

Sawyer and Leah are friends to lovers with a long time gap in their friendship. She is also his sister’s best friend, and because of that friendship, always been offlimits. He comes back to get what he wants, to find her with someone else, but that won’t stop him. He pulls out all the stops. Not only does he win her heart, but I promise he win’s over the reader’s hearts as well! Sawyer made me swoon every step of the way.

This story is special. I just love Sarah’s writing and love that I’ve got to be on this journey with her since the very beginning. There’s all the giddy feelings and heartfelt moments between these two. The friend group texts are taken up a notch with the guys group texts and adding Sawyer into the mix. They just make you laugh out loud. I highly recommend the whole Nashville Nights series, but this is one if you haven’t read the others yet, you can pick right up and start first, then fall in love and go back to the others.

This book was AMAZING! My new favorite book!
Everything was perfect. You laugh, you cry, you love, and you swoon over them.

I have been waiting for Leah’s story from the beginning, since she’s the one I related to the most, and it did not disappoint! Leah was always the one that was more down-to-earth. Which is why every time she would be sassy, flirty, or feisty, I’d squeal. I was so excited to get in her head and see what she was like exactly. Her internal monologues were so fun and awesome.

“One night. One simple moment changed everything and decided my fate.”

I love how this is a hockey romance, but it is not all that centered on hockey, but rather on all the characters’ relationships. After the mistake Sawyer did ten years ago, he now has to grovel and show Leah he deserves a second chance. And I was there for it. Every single time he’d try to snatch her and talk to her. We love a persistent man, who stops at nothing to get the girl.

I absolutely loved how Sawyer gave Leah confidence to step out of her comfort zone, but also gave her confidence in staying true to herself. If she felt insecure, he immediately reassured her in the most beautiful way. He loved her for her, and she loved him for him.

“I want every smile she has to offer and to be the one that makes her head fall back in laughter.”

Can we take a second and talk about the nicknames, and how PERFECT they are? “Hey, Dove.” “Hey, Moose.” I died every time I saw them. Which was often.

The found family trope continues to grow and shine. Seeing all the previous couples getting on with their lives is so beautiful and emotional. Sarah’s books keep getting better and better. Tank and Sawyer’s friendship was awesome. Sawyer became one of them in the most natural way. Seeing the kids grow up is just so wholesome.

I always love Sarah’s emphasis on mental health and going to therapy. It is SO important. “That’s because we’re all in therapy. We’re some healed motherfuckers who learned how to express their feelings.”

And the spice… well. The spice will be spicing in the best way. I don’t think you’re ready for these two. “Someone get a mop because I’m a fucking puddle.”

Thank you for my arc! I can’t believe there’s only one more book left in the Nashville Nights series.

This book is such a good read. I loved Sawyer and Leah as characters. Sawyer broke Leah’s heart when they were young, and now he’s back to win her over—and honestly, he won me over too. I love how he showed up for Leah and proved he was in it for the long haul. He was her rock, always steady, always respectful, and he never gave up.
Leah also completely won me over. I loved that she made Sawyer grovel. She didn’t take him back immediately; she made him work for it, and it felt so earned. The romance pacing was really well done. The slow burn made perfect sense, especially after a ten-year gap in their relationship. And the steamy scenes? They were really hot and added extra depth to their characters.
One of my favorite parts of the book was the friendships. Leah’s girl gang and Sawyer’s hockey boys were amazing. This is one of the few romance novels where the characters genuinely spend time with their friends and actually prioritize those relationships. Leah’s bond with her dad was also such a standout.
My only small criticism is how a major event was handled. I wish it had a bigger emotional impact and lasted more than a few chapters. The ending was really cute, but I think it could’ve been trimmed down into one big epilogue—the last ten percent was adorable, just a little cheesy. I loved the epilogues overall, but they definitely could’ve been shorter.
And I really wish there had been more hockey. I love game scenes in sports romances, and I would’ve loved a bit more of that energy here.
Overall, though, I really loved this book. I highly recommend it—go check out this awesome read!

Waiting for Fate review

Sarah what are you doing to me.
Every book you write is just getting more and more amazing!

I’ve been following along Sarah’s writing since the beginning with Max and Shane, and they just keep getting better! (My heart is still with Tank though 🖤)
I was incredibly honoured to have received an ARC for the 4th book in the Nashville Nights series.

The story of Sawyer and Leah takes place 10 years after they last saw each other but their love for one another hasn’t faulted. Sawyer, a burly hockey player (🫠) transfers back home to play for the Badges, just to be closer to Leah.
Leah, a kindergarten teacher, is exactly as expected. Cute, flirty and feisty. I was shocked with some of things she said!!
This second chance love is perfectly depicted and had me feeling all the feels like I was part of their relationship!
My heart was bursting for them! I was laughing. I was crying. I was swooning all over again!

‘Hey dove’ 🥹
‘Atta girl’ 🫠
‘That’s my girl’ 💀
I can’t with these! I died every time!

This was my first sport romance and I never knew I needed a hockey man until Sawyer, I’ll definitely be looking into this sport now 👀
The found family trope has now become one of my favourites! The girl group in these books is one I can only dream of! Every girl needs a girl gang just like this 🫶🏼

Another amazing book Sarah 🤍 you’ve outdone yourself yet again!

Avaliable August 22nd

Thank you so much @ for the ARC!!! This was an absolute masterpiece in writing!

This is by far my favorite of Sarah Pirtle's  books and definitely my favorite couple! I absolutely devoured this book and fell so head over heals in LOVE with Leah and Sawyer. These two had such a beautiful relationship, and the healing they both went through  together was amazing. This book had me feeling so many emotions. I definitely laughed out loud with the text conversation had between all the characters. Swooned over absolutely everything Sawyer did for Leah 🥰, and cried my eyes out for some very emotional movements that Leah went through that definitely hit home for me.

Leah and Sawyer are only, always, and forever soulmates, and I loved reading about their emotional journey to a beautiful HEA. I can say without a doubt that Sawyer is definitely my absolute favorite of the Nashville Nights leading men, and Leah is complete perfection as an FMC.

The banter, passion, and swoon worthy tension between these two had me blushing and fanning myself numerous times while reading this book, and I loved every single second of it. I didn't want this book to end. I definitely could have kept reading about these two, and I want to and hopefully get to see more of them in the future.

I know we've been going on lately about girl gangs and the massive supportive ones and these girls are the best. But can we take a second to talk about the grumpy bunch in this book?! They really came thru and shined. They just accepted Sawyer into their guy gang and threw him into it and just expected him to catch up and go along. "Max is still new to therapy. You'll have to ignore him." 🤣
Tank and Sawyer's relationship 💚 Tank still has my heart, but Sawyer came thru with a bulldozer.
Don't worry. I know this book is about Sawyer and Leah and their second chance. But I had to get my love out for the guys first.
Sawyer decided that it was time, and then seriously moved back to Nashville and traded teams just so he could finally fix what broke and shoot his shot with Leah. The way her just kept being there (much like Tucker to Taylor) so Leah couldn't 'see' anyone else but him. 😂 The fact he bought a house and had things inside so that when Leah finally caved and moved in it would be her house too. The library and reading chair. His tattoo 🥹 Sawyer is all the boyfriend goals
I was so glad that Leah finally opened up to her girls about all things Sawyer. There was a lot more girls' nights in this book and they all made me giggle immensely. "Y'all are mean when you're together, you know that?" (Tank again🤣😂😆) Leah's parents always knowing that Sawyer was it for their girl and it made me wish I had parents like that.
These two were the definition of second chance and I cain't say anything else without spoiling the whole book. I LOVED IT BEYOND WORDS (so much that it took me 9 days to write the review a because I had to gather my thoughts) AND YOU SHOULD JUST PICK IT UP TO READ!! AND THE OTHERS IN THE SERIES!! Just get ready Lauren!🤓

Waiting for Fate is book four in the Nashville Nights series, a series of stand-alones. This one follows Leah and Sawyer in their childhood friends to “enemies” (they just don’t really talk to each other for like 8 years) and back to friends then lovers *takes a deep breath*.
I loved seeing the gang again, and Chattahoochies and all the kids that are adding to the family. It makes me so happy and so excited to see all of these beautiful characters creating this beautiful family.
Anywho, back to this lovely couple. I’m gonna get into the gritty first; I have to admit that this couple is so far my least favourite couple in this world. I will also add that Sawyer had some of my favourite qualities for a book boyfriend - I think that the very possessive “she’s always been mine” thing that stems from my dark romance reading - but I was lowkey obsessed.
I will also say that friends to lovers, especially when its second chance - is one of my least favourite contemporary tropes. However, I think that Sarah did a pretty solid job of making me come around to this couple's growth despite this.
Another fun book from Sarah and I’m keen to see what she comes out with next!

Leah and Sawyer were as close as can be until one fateful night that left Sawyer running without a word. 10 years later, Sawyer has just returned home after being traded to the Badgers hockey team. His goal is to make Leah his, what she was always meant to be. Obviously Leah wants not part in this after Sawyer broke her heart to pieces 10 years ago. Sawyer is no quitter though and will stop at nothing to show Leah that she belongs with him!

“Because at least the decision I did make, let you keep your best friend. Even if I lost mine.”

Oh man, does Sarah know how to write! This book will have you all up in your feels and experiencing every emotion possible. Sawyer and Leah’s story was so beautiful and raw and deserves to be read by all! The banter, the spice…*chefs kiss* I’m anxiously hanging on to the edge of my seat waiting to see what comes next!

GOSH, when I say Sarah just grasps you with her writing. She writes the best found family trope that I have EVER read. PERIOD. I want to be apart of the unhinged group chats, girls' nights, the tea spilling over margs, and just be apart of this group of girls that cheer each other on and show up for one another. It is truly beautiful. I feel like I know Leah and the rest of the bunch.
Sarah has a way of making people feel seen through the POV's of each character with trials and giving them hope. Healing & Redemption are within reach!
SAWYER & LEAH. From the very first page I was hooked. I didn't know a Prologue could do that, but it happened.
Each Nashville Night book just keeps getting better and better & SPICIER 🤭🔥
Waiting for Fate was tastefully fast paced and never dragged. Her characters are relatable and are well-rounded with great depth. Plenty of moments where I laughed out loud, swooned while kicking my feet, and possibly shed a tear or two.

As always, Sarah has out done herself! I can't wait until book 5!

Let’s just say I did not expect to cry as much and as hard as I did with this one.

This book holds such a special place in my heart. And I will forever think the green cover was special for me. 💚

“No one tells you how hard it is to pull yourself out of the darkness that grief throws you into. One moment you’re living life, in love and on your way to a new place with the person who makes you happiest, the next you’re feeling your world crumble around you, and then—without warning—you’re staring at a blank TV screen, wondering what the rest of your life will be like if you don’t get up.”

Yep, and I am crying writing this review already. Sarah is seriously such a talented writer. She really knows how to pull emotions out of you. And especially her characters, she has this ability to make you build such a strong connection to them that you never want to let them go.

Omg y’all… if you are looking for the a book with childhood friends to enemies to lovers with all the emotion with sprinkles of spice.. this is the one for you! Waiting For Fate follows the story of Sawyer and Leah.

When Leah was in high school she had a crush on her best friend’s older brother, Sawyer. Of course she never believed he felt the same way.. but he did. However, in order to protect their friendship he started to pull away.

Years later they find their way back to one another but it’s not an instant HEA. They have to navigate becoming friends again and finding out what it means to be romantically involved.

I loved this book and fell in love with the characters! The main and side characters are easy to relate to, while making you feel you are a part of their group. I am obsessed with the girl gang in this series! Also, Sarah will have you feeling every emotion reading this.. get the tissues! Another great addition to this series! 👌🏽

Sheesh I love these two characters so very much! This is the fourth book in the series and they have all been fantastic. This story continues with another member of the girl gang and her friends brother. Leah and Sawyer were close friends who both had hidden feelings for each other at the end of high school but then they lost touch. They came back together years later and Sawyer is on a mission to win "his girl" back. His determination and possessiveness was intense but so good. Leah was hesitant to let him in and had to deal with past hurts in order to trust again. Once they came together, the fireworks went off and the connection was just so sweet. I love the character development because we really get to know each character and why they do what they do. This series hits on real issues and doesn't shy away from painful topics and this book is no exception. Highly recommend this entire series! So so good!

Only. Always. Forever.

Two best friends find their way back to each other in the fourth installment of the truly wonderful Nashville Nights series. I thought I was ready for Sawyer after experiencing Max, Tucker, and Tank but I was wrong. Sawyer went beyond my expectations in every way and truly made sure Leah knew just how much she means to him. I love that with each book, we get to still see the couples from the former books and how their relationships continue to develop. It truly makes the reader feel more connected to this found family. The third act conflict was unique and most importantly, believable and as with the other books, told in a very respectful and gracious way. I loved every minute of this book even when it made me tear up. Lauren is up next and I can already tell it is going to be a swoon worthy story.

🏒 Book Review 🏒

Thank you to Sarah Pirtle for an arc in exchange for my honest thoughts. All opinions are my own.

Publication: Out now!

Rating: I liked it!

This book shows just how much Sarah’s writing has grown and gotten so much better. This was the perfect amount of fluff and swoon within the plot.

The biggest thing I’m not a fan of is the miscommunication or “not fully sharing all feelings” trope. This is really a personal preference and once the air is cleared up, you begin to fall head over heels.

Overall, a cute sports romance read and fun to see this author branch out from military/veteran romance.

I cannot sing the praises of this book enough! The author does everything right with contemporary romance and if she’s writing it, I’m reading it!

Sawyer and Leah’s story was absolutely beautiful in ways that made me giggle, scream, kick my feet, cry, squeal. If there is a gasp to be had, I gusped 😆🤣 reading their story allowed me once again, to escape into a couple falling in love. She writes the hard moments so wonderful and it soothes the hurt that the author inflicts in her writing. I’ve been a Tucker girl since he showed up in Max and Shane’s book but I may very well be a Sawyer girl yet—though I don’t know if Leah will share him with me or not.

Anyway, I gotta go find a hockey game to watch!
