Warto próbować i szukać swoich metod. A ta książka z pewnością Wam w tym pomoże☺️
Serdecznie polecam!

This book was disappointing. I expected more depth into anxiety, like what factors can cause anxiety, different types, as well as the different ways it manifests. While technically only the last chapter is a work book, the whole thing feels like a work book filled with breathing techniques, diagrams, and lists of podcasts (as well as a few "Google this").

None of the techniques Seponara mentioned were particularly groundbreaking, but I do recognize that this book would be useful for those just starting to learn to cope with anxiety. But I truly did expect more from this.

The Anxiety Healer's Guide is a wonderful resource to help with coping with anxiety. I found this to be so important in my journey of dealing with anxiety and I think it will do the same for others who are struggling with it too.

This guide is different from others because of the empathy the author has. So many times when I read guides or self-help books relating to anxiety they come off as trying to fix a problem. This is different because Alison Seponara admits that there is so one right fix. She details multiple types of approaches to try to aid in coping and calming your mind and body. Some include deep breathing, aromatherapy, distraction techniques and so many more.

What I really enjoyed about these techniques is that they are followed by explanations. For me, when I know more about anxiety and the science of why panic attacks can happen and how they are triggered, it gives me my power back. So, when I got to see the science and understand why Alison chose certain techniques, it all made sense and helps me in the long run.

I give The Anxiety Healer's Guide 5 stars. I think this is a helpful guide that I can benefit from. Instead of feeling helpless, this guide gives me the power back to cope with anxiety.

This book is a great resource for those that have anxiety and need help.

Everything in this book is easy to understand. It comes with charts, clear descriptions, bullet points of apps and many types of guidelines. For those that have had panic attacks, this helps to find answers. She provides breathing exercises and a brief description of what’s going on in the brain.

I picked this book up at the library but it’s really one that someone needs to buy not only for future references but also because the entire book includes areas for personal responses. It's the first book I've seen that really helps guide one with a way to respond to different levels of anxiety. It may not be the best way to create a treatment plan but it’s a good start.

Great book if you're new to world of coping with anxiety. It's a player's guide with great techniques. If you're a novice to self-help techniques for anxiety, this is an all-inclusive book for you. If you've been dabbling in the world of self-help for any length of time, most of this you would know. Still, it's a great resource for anxiety.

Zdarza Ci się odczuwać lęk? W jakich sytuacjach? Potrafisz z nim walczyć? 💬

Wow! This book is beyond anything I could have imagined. The Anxiety Healer's Guide is packed full of helpful information on healing your mind and body while learning to overcome anxiety. Instead of trying to find a quick fix, the author, a licensed therapist, wants to teach a variety of ways to cope with and lessen anxiety, often before it begins.
A few of the techniques covered are journaling, aromatherapy (a personal fave), breathing, grounding, and hydrotherapy. I love the graphics throughout the book but was absolutely delighted to see the coloring pages at the end. How cool is that?!!
Chapter 9 is all about creating a healing tool kit, personalized to each individual, to put into place the strategies that work best for YOU!
So excited to take the knowledge from this book and put it to use in my day to day life. Cannot wait to get my hands on a hard copy and recommend to my fellow anxiety sufferers. This book has potential to be life changing. Five hopeful stars.
Thank you to Simon & Schuster as well as NetGalley for an advanced egalley in exchange for my honest review.

This book is the ultimate handbook for those suffering from anxiety, whether it's a debilitating kind or just a slight nervousness -- although I felt like this was geared more towards the former. There is a lot of information covered, imagine every self-care webinar or training packed into one place, that this would be best used as a supplement to speaking with or seeing a licensed professional. It's not a self-help book that you sit down and read from cover to cover, but rather one you want to take in smaller digestible bites. The last chapter is an actual workbook, but realistically the entire book reads like one and offers places to write down (how dare you write in a book, hehe) your answers. The information she provides, from breathing techniques to writing exercises, is practical and easy to use. She addresses the topics with empathy, not only from a professional standpoint but also from someone who has also suffered from anxiety.

Many thanks to Simon Element and Alison Seponara for the ARC. This review is voluntary and strictly my own.

The Anxiety Healer’s guide by Alison Seponara is the first self-help book I’ve attempted to read this year. I have two teenagers that were severely affected by the pandemic since these last two years and mental health is of great concern for us at this time. Upon seeing their anxiety increase exponentially, I thought looking into this book to see if it could help might be worth it. I was directed to the @TheAnxietyHealer on her Instagram and have listened to her @AnxietyChicks podcast with my daughter. The coping strategies came in handy, and I asked the kids if they felt that using them was working. I could tell that reminding them to use the coping skills was making a difference. The book did not disappoint and gives many tools that she had mentioned in her podcast and would serve as a great to have pocket guide. I will be purchasing the hardcopy for my teens to have as this pandemic does not seem to truly have an end in sight as yet. This review was given on the ARC copy received from the Publisher via NetGalley in return for my opinion.

Anxiety is no joke. Even though I have been in therapy for years, I am always looking for ways to better handle my anxiety. Enter The Anxiety Healer's Guide! Like, you're gonna heal my anxiety? Sign me directly up. I appreciated all of the different breathing techniques listed, as I do tend to hold my breath when I am anxious. I had come across many of the things listed in this book, but it is always nice to have a refresher course! I liked seeing the example of Alison's Anxiety-Healing Tool Kit! Sometimes someone does something that you're like "hmm... I didn't think that would work for me but I'm going to try that out!" For me, that was complying a list of videos that I love to help distract/make me feel better (Shout out to Bill Hader for bringing me so much joy).
Thank you to Netgalley and Simon Element for this arc ebook. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I won this book as a first reads giveaway!
First, this isn't a book you can just read once and say you have finished it. This is a tool to be picked up and used regularly.
The first thing I noticed was how well written this book is and how spot on the author was about certain aspects. For the first time in reading a book, I actually felt like the author knew what anxiety was all about and how to help. The suggestions and exercises are very helpful. I found that I was able to redirect my thought process during panic attacks with the help of some of the ideas and exercises provided.
I am only giving it 4 stars because I do feel like some of the information was put in to fill space and not as insightful, but still an overall excellent book!

The Anxiety Healers Guide

I think many of you know that I work as a mental health therapist. Once in a while I will refresh my mind with new skills and reads.

Regardless of having an anxiety diagnosis, everyone experiences feelings of nervousness, worries, irritability etc. This book is a great introduction to anxiety treatments out there. It reviews mindfulness, muscle relaxation, positive affirmations/self-talk and journaling prompts. I really liked how it didn’t focus too much of the book on psychoeducation. There is even prompts and space to write in the workbook. If you choose to use this workbook or any other for that matter, please remember that consistency is key- mental health does not change overnight.

However, it lacks the depth that is needed to treat anxiety. Most self-help books do. If you are struggling with anxiety, it is always my recommendation to see a therapist. Sometimes self-help workbooks can go hand and hand with therapy. It is likely that you will need an objective perspective to review the work you are doing outside of therapy.
If you need any other tips, please feel free to reach out.

I found this book very informative and helpful! I’ve followed Alison (and Taylor) on the Anxiety Chicks podcast and was excited to have won the arc for this book from Goodreads! I’ve suffered from anxiety since I was in high school and it peaked once the pandemic hit. I am always grateful for books like this one where you can learn new calming techniques as well as make notes about your own experiences as you go along.

As some of echo siffers from chronic pain that produces anxiety, this book is a wonderful resource. It explores topics such as diaphragmatic breathing, grounding techniques and self soothing. I feel like it is like sitting with a good friend during a panic attack. A wonderful resource for those that suffer with anxiety and or panic attacks.

This book was very anxiety-inducing. It will probably be helpful for you if you work with people who have anxiety. But, if you have anxiety, it might not be significant. I found that constantly reading about the different kinds of anxiety and issues caused my anxiety to worsen. I have excellent practices I follow, and this book disrupted them.

As a whole I was pretty disappointed in this book. I really had high hopes for it but there wasn't anything that really stood out for me or was super helpful. I particular, it bothered me that the lists of resources she gave were all in alphabetical order as opposed to ordered based on her recommendations.

This book is very practical with SO many different strategies for you to pick and choose from. I have adopted a few of techniques and can already feel the results. My favorite parts included the grounding and self-talk guides that were divided out by situation (ie: driving, at the doctors office, at a crowded event, etc). I found EFT interesting as well.

The book is good; it offers a comprehensive list of ALL techniques that you may pick, as well as practical exercises. This has the disadvantage that no topic receives adequate attention, and you will need to use these keywords to seek online for information and best practices of each strategy.
