This was an absolutely wonderful find. A beautiful hardcover, even had a fabric bookmark, dual language and a price you'd see for most softcovers. It was such a treat to be able to read all the stories in this collection. The translation and the Classical Chinese side by side was great. It has been several years now since I've studied any Classical but it came back, and was really wonderful to read. It reminded me how much I love Classical Chinese.
The stories were brilliant. So many of them had good ghosts in them, death was never the end. And they read as a little bit of hope. Finding beauty in the ruins. I'm so glad I found this collection. I do want to read everything in this series. I've already ordered another one with the translations by Wilt Idema which I'm looking forward to a lot.
