You will feel sad as you approach the end of Reunion, yes because it is a love story that ends on a cliffhanger but also because it is the type of story you want to go on forever and ever. It is the type of story whose book binding you will look at on your shelf with a warm heart for years to come as you recall the safe innocence of the teenage sweetheart relationship Alan and Ryan just were not ready for. You may become brave as you gaze at the stunning novella's cover photo and feel inspired in your own life to reunite with your true love whether that's again or for the first time. The love between Alan and Ryan is one you will not soon forget and one that might just make you believe that it's possible. Whether you have met online and are about to meet in person or if you have known them since middle school.
Christian Pan's Reunion trailblazes a new path in the ever-unfolding literary chronicles of same-sex true love while also exploring themes like the parts of ourselves we give up and hideaway in the name of heteronormative masks.
