Do you think women want to read fantasy books with adult characters?
If your answer is “Yes”, you are in the right place.

My name is Jenny Swan and I love to write fairy-tale and fantasy books about women over 30. We all want to find a magical portal to another land, sail with a pirate over the sea, unleash our witch powers, and find the love of our lives. These exciting, heart-pounding fantasy stories feature heroines who are just like you and me — normal women who lead normal lives until something magical happens.

The first series you can dive into is called “Charms & Chocolate.” Mayla, who believes in chocolate but not in magic, discovers that she is a witch and has to escape violent young men who are out to get her. A mysterious stranger helps her, a charming police officer cautions her against him, and a cat just appears in time to help her.

This was such a fun read! It had so many different aspects and references to well-known fairytales! It was also nice to see the female protagonist be somebody who isn't perfect, like in the typical fairytales.

Magical

Enchantednin Time completely swept me away. This is one of those stories that reminds you why fairy tales matter—especially as an adult. From the very first mysterious invitation, I was hooked.

Hannah is such a refreshing heroine. She’s a devoted mother doing her best for her children, grounded in her values, and unapologetic about putting family first. Seeing someone like her step into a world of magic, forgotten kingdoms, and ancient battles felt both empowering and emotional. It was honestly beautiful to watch a woman who’s often overlooked by society be revealed as exactly the kind of hero the world needs.

The magical elements are pure fairy-tale perfection: secret kingdoms, royal intrigue, an old-world prince with timeless virtues, and a looming battle between light and darkness. But what truly sets this book apart is its heart. The story makes it clear that love, sacrifice, and devotion—especially a mother’s love—can be the strongest magic of all.

The romance is gentle, swoony, and heart-fluttering without overpowering the story, and the sense of wonder never fades. There are twists I didn’t expect, moments that made me smile, and scenes that genuinely moved me. It’s nostalgic and fresh at the same time, like a classic fairy tale reimagined for women who’ve lived a little life.

If you’re over 30, still believe in magic, and want a story that celebrates family, courage, and hope, this book is absolutely for you. Enchanted in Time proves it’s never too late to be the hero—and never too late for a happily ever after.

ARC Review:
Enchanted in Time - Jenny Swan
Romantic Fairytale
(Beauty and the Beast, Finding Nemo, Cinderella and Wizzard of Oz)

What a great story!! I loved it. The fairytale feel in modern day times with a twist of ancient magic.

A fairytale for moms for sure.
Irmgard was my favorite character by far. She made me think of Dory and she's just loveable, sweet, funny and brave! I wish there was more about her and her situation at the end. But it was great nonetheless.

Hannah our FMC was a single mom of 3 little sweat peas and was thrown into the deep end when her lovely neighbor and her little girl convinced Hannah to attend a royal ball after a strange invitation was delivered to her apartment. With a horse drawn carriage and all, on the way to a castle in ruins of the a royal family that did not exist - The night turned out to be an adventure never to be forgotten.

It's a story of love and hope and never giving up. Very well written and I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.
If you enjoy fairytale retellings with a happily ever after, this one is worth a read!

Enchanted in Time – Fairy Tale for Women: A Single Mom Finds Her Happily (The Enchanted After Thirty Series)

Enchanted in Time – Fairy Tale for Women: A Single Mom Finds Her Happily (The Enchanted After Thirty Series) ~~ Jenny Swan weaves a heartfelt, magical journey that spoke straight to my soul. This story follows a single mom who receives a mysterious invitation—one that pulls her into a world where magic still lingers and dreams long thought impossible start to bloom again. I loved watching her navigate this unexpected path, rediscovering her strength, worth, and capacity for joy. The romance was tender yet exciting, the emotional moments genuine, and the ending left me misty-eyed in the best way. A true celebration of second chances and believing in your own magic. Absolutely loved it!
