Tatiana was supposed to start dating again. She was finally supposed to quit her job now that she’d saved enough to buy the corner property on South Street and Ordell that she’d had her eye on for years. She was supposed to live now. She was thirty, flirty, and she was supposed to be fucking thriving.
Not dead. There was no room for “being dead” in her plans.
THE GRIM, ME, AND THE REAPER MAKES THREE was my first book by this author but it certainly won't be my last because I really enjoyed this! Tatiana finally has her life where she wants it and she ends up dead on Halloween night, but thankfully the Afterlife is really starting to look appealing. This was a fun concept and I also liked the idea of the Grim Reaper actually being two people -- the actual Reaper and then the Grim, a shapeshifting companion. The writing was super engaging, it's a novella so it jumped right into the meat of the story, and the tenderness and spice were really well balanced.
Tatiana was a resilient and determined FMC who does a great job of rolling with the punches life (and death) kept throwing her way. Atticus, the Reaper, was refined, dominant, and in charge but I loved his brief moments of vulnerability where we saw how desperately he loved under his cool exterior. Opposite of that was William, the Grim, who was easy going and laid back, and definitely the charmer of the two. He can also shift into a large dog and I don't know what it was, but I melted every time Atticus called William "pup" as a nickname.
Atticus and William have been together for centuries and I adored their moments as a couple and the way the Dom/sub dynamic was set up. I love when an author gives as much space and appreciation to the already established MM couple as she does to the FMC that's being added into the relationship. They all felt really balanced in their interactions and care, which is not something I always see in MMF books. The spice was excellent and even though this was insta-love after one night I didn't care because I loved the three of them together.
Ya’ll! If you’re looking for a fall novella that is sweet, spicy and everything in between, you need to pick up The Grim, Me & the Reaper Makes Three by Taylor E Weston
Tati, Atticus and William are fun characters, and you get a bit of each of their POVs throughout the story. Taylor made the “afterworld” sound pretty heavenly and gives us a unique twist on an HEA, considering the FMC dies at the beginning of the book.

This is a short novella perfect for spooky season if you’re looking for a quick, cozy, SPICY read! It’s MMF with the Grim Reaper actually being two people (the Grim in this instance being a shifter), and a girl who met her untimely demise on Halloween. Being as short as it is, just know you’re not getting long, fully drawn out plot or character development, but I still very much thoroughly understood and enjoyed the whole story. Not sure how Taylor managed to squeeze so many emotions into under 100 pages, but I went through all the motions! I would definitely categorize this under “smut with plot” 😂 and Taylor writes some of the best spice I’ve ever read! Do read the CW’s though to make sure it’s for you, but I really appreciated that it wasn’t so far off the deep end of the kind of dark, gory spice this could have been twisted into. The story although is about the afterlife (and legit starts with the FMC finding out she’s dead), remains pretty humorous & light (?) and very easy to read. If you want a fun, binge-able, spicy, Halloween romance, definitely give this one a go!
I devoured this spicy little novella as quickly as possible and already know I’ll be reading it again later this month with Halloween coming up! I felt an immediate connection with the FMC and though the spice scenes were delectable, I also enjoyed the distinct personalities of each of the MCs. Taylor has a true knack for developing characters and it shows in this novella. I loved the relationship between the three MMF characters and the MM characters too, which is less commonly found. Overall I highly recommend this book, definitely add it to your spooky season TBR (and year round for some spicy fun 😏).
I had the immense privilege of reading an early version of this novella, and I'm even more obsessed with the final book!! Two of the many reasons I love Taylor's writing is not only does she paint such vivid pictures of the worlds her stories take place in, but also creates such interesting, complex characters. And even though the spice was absolutely spicing (I mean, can we please talk about the rolled sleeves agenda??), my favorite part of this was the excellent character growth from all 3 mc's. Which, imo, is so hard to do well in a novella. Also, I still firmly stand behind my comment that if there isn't a zoo in the afterlife, I don't want to go.
If this is what the afterlife is like, I no longer fear death. This little novella is a scrumptious Halloween treat. So many MMF stories focus on the female character and leave out the M/M side of things, even if the men are in an existing committed relationship. Taylor does not. She absolutely delivered with her scenes. Oh, and a plus-size female character! What I originally assumed to be a smut story also had a surprising amount of tender, loving moments and a fluffy HEA. Best read with a slice of pie (savory or sweet).
An afterlife were money isn’t a thing, you can still eat amazing food and sexy men give you mind blowing orgasms? Well now I am jealous of the dead now! Taylor does such an amazing job writing steamy romance while still fully fleshing out her characters. In only a few short chapters she has made me fall in love with these three and I want more.
Also, this plus size, badass, baking, FMC might be my favorite girl ever. Tati stole my heart and the cover art by A.loveunlaced is AMAZING!!!!!!!!
MMF with a twist on the Grim Reaper character? Say less!! This was a perfect read to start off the spooky month.
I definitely dropped everything to read this ARC when it arrived. The spicy scenes were hitting good, and you might not think so, but the story was also cute too! I wouldn't mind being dead with them forever also ;)
3.5 stars A quick, enjoyable read with lots of steam and an interesting view of the afterlife. The characters were sweet and smart, and I really enjoyed this. I especially liked William because he was just the sweetest character.
This is the perfect little spicy, spooky story I needed to kick off October. One MMC is giving Victorian Keanu and the other MMC is a mountain man Jensen Ackles vibe. F/M/M throuple.
