Yes, I'm the author,which, of course, means I'm biased. But I really think you're going to love this story and these characters as much I loved writing them. If edgy,emotional, angst, & hot sex are your cup of tea, then you need to read this book. :)Should be out late summer (2014).

Enthralled in Nikko and Aimie
Broken and shattered. This is how Nik Strand sees himself. A shell of the man he used to be before his wife and daughter were taken from him. Unable to move on. Unable to ever be himself again. Until a masked beauty cracked his wall.

I loved every second of this book!! Aimee is incredibly spunky. The perfect match to Nik's broodyness. Although, I know the story has left me with questions...I will eagerly tear into this next book!!!

What I loved:
Lora Ann begins the story at a masquerade 5 years prior. There was a brief encounter with Nik and Aimee, while she is at a function for an escort service she is a part of. The evening ends without any identities being known. There is such a sense of mystery and intrigue that is developed from this one encounter years before and neither one can really pinpoint where it stems from when they are face to face again.
Nik is an alpha, with a burden of guilt that he carries around for a long time. He lost his wife and child, and blames himself. When Aimee finds herself in a dangerous situation with a corrupt politician named Caleb, Nik is almost as dangerous as Caleb because Aimee knows Nik could destroy her forever emotionally if she falls in love with him. Still, they come together and instantly feel as if they have met before, which they have.
Its ultimately a love story with ups, downs, laughs, cries, and some kindle breaking moments. (Which I was able to overcome..my kindle is just fine!)
What I didn’t love:
The prologue, for me, was a bit too long. I feel the information we garnered in it, could have been expedited a bit and some of the other information cut out. That really was the only thing I found off putting. But, as I don’t really review based on grammar and punctuation, story is where I look. This was a problem for me.
Overall:
Author Lora Ann gives you a great mix of love, steamy sex scenes, and suspense. She also shows that despite your past, and what you believe to be sins, you can overcome. I am excited to read more about these brothers. They all seem pretty alpha to me and we know how I feel about my alphas!

~~~Gifted by the Author for a Honest Review~~~~
Right at well almost at the beginning I knew how I was going to rate this read. I changed it as the end came closer. Lora Ann was a author I had never heard of but very glad that I have remedy that. Branded must have touched all kinds of emotions. I had a hard time trying to figure out who needed a hug more.
Aimee a strong and sassy woman, out to doing what she needs to do so that she can secure her future.
Nik just call him a take over king he has made it his life work and he is good at him. He doesn't make excuses for being rich.
I am a true believer in fate and fates ability to do things its way. Nik and Aimee had met once... ohhhh but will they remember? Will they remember it as just a passing of passion or a soul looking for a home.
Lora Ann worked some serious magic for me with this, each page I read I just wanted more. Granted a decent length at a bit over 250pgs. It only dragged a bit at the very beginning. Then it was game on, you heart wont be able to be indifferent... Both Nik and Aimee has scars to let heal, where as one is pretty much ready to do that while the other would sooner burn in their own living hell. Though there is no BDSM not even elements... there is a bit of DOMish personality.
With a air of mystery a bit of intrigue, a lot of hot fan your face scenes. I'd tell you to grab this read and delve into the world that Lora Ann creates, feel the aggressiveness, the passion, the family, friendship danger and love.

Branded (Strand Brothers, Book 1) by Lora Ann

I love the characters in this book!! The brothers are so close and it’s wonderful to see three male characters so different and yet so loving of each other. My heart broke over and over for Nik and Aimee as they worked their way toward each other in somewhat of a “one step forward, two steps back” kind of way. I felt a little like I had whiplash with Nik’s attitude seeming to go back and forth between protective to aggressive. It ended up all being explained and falling into place, but it was definitely a roller-coaster ride to get there. I found myself impatient for them to get together, and then once they did, we seemed to spend a lot of chapters with almost nothing but Nik and Aimee in some very hot scenes.
It is clear that Ms. Ann loves music, and her book kind of flows along like a song. I spent a lot of time googling songs that I had never heard of, and learning new songs that she references throughout the book. I can’t wait to read about the other Strand brothers, Alex and E, and I can’t decide which one I want to read about first. I would also like to read more about Aimee’s friend Renee’. I see lots of depth in all of her characters and want to spend more time with them.

I loved this story. I was gripped from page one and ended up reading it in one sitting. The author did a great job of captivating me.
The story starts with Aimee and Nik meeting at a Masquerade Ball. That night has stayed with both of them. It's not til five years later that they meet again when Nik saves Aimee from Caleb.
I loved the hot steamy scenes with these two. This is a really great romantic story. The ups and downs with these characters will have you gripped:)

I really enjoyed this book; it was full of twist and turns, full of suspense and drama keeping me guessing as to what is going to happen. The author took people who have a past with each other but it doesn’t become clear till the author unfolds those facts throughout the story.
Aimee needed money to pay for her father’s medical bills and student loans quickly so she applies for an escort job. At a masquerade ball she tries out for the job and gains the attention of many men till one demands her time. Dancing their way off to solitude she gives herself to him while wearing the masks and at the end parted ways like a modern day Cinderella story. Years later she finds that this job has secured her life and she is in the company of Nik, a man who has his own demons that shadow his world.
Nik lost so much in his life and he carries the guilt and conviction of that event with him. It affects every choice he makes but there is something about Aimee that he feels he needs to protect and protect he did. When the feelings become similar for her to what he felt back when he was younger he is going to have to decide to let go of her or the guilt that has become the air he breathes.
With outside forces threatening to tear Aimee away from Nik, Aimee is struggling with trying to live up to a ghost in Nik’s life and has her own choices to make. Will she leave Nik before the threat to her is taken care of or will Nik be able to save her from what could be the most dangerous situation she has faced?
I really love how the author surprises us with the connections between the characters and we are able to feel the shock and surprise when they find out the truth. The writing style was smooth and made reading enjoyable and the characters were thrilling and addicting. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys some suspense, love and forgiveness. I will be looking for more work from this author.

I knew from reading the synopsis and teasers that this book was going to be scorching hot but what I didn’t expect was how emotional of a read Branded would be. I loved that this book went places that I did not expect. This is an extremely well written, intriguing, thoughtful and sexy read.
Nik broke my heart. He had lost his family in a car accident years before yet he still carried that pain around with him everyday. He never stopped blaming himself for their deaths. It wasn’t a good way to live but he had become accustomed to hiding behind his shell, that is until the night he met a mysterious woman at a masquerade party and was never the same again. They experience one night of intense passion but never see each other again.
Aimee works for an escort service and does what she has to do to survive. Five years later, in another town, her past catches up with her when Nik, the man whom she shared one scorching night with, rescues her from a possible beating at the hands of her not so nice boyfriend, Caleb. The passion, chemistry and desire are all still there and the couple begin a torrid relationship. There are some red hot, panty melting moments in this book. Aimee and Nik’s chemistry is off the charts. But Aimee’s crazy ex is lingering on the outskirts of their lives, preparing to take what he believes is his. Nik goes into super alpha protective mode and is determined to keep Aimee safe at all cost. Are you breathless yet?
This book is non stop emotion, sex, and drama. As a reader, you can’t help but feel protective of Nik and Aimee. These characters are so well written that they simply pull you into the story and do not let you go.
Branded is what I call a page turner. You cannot put it down. This story is addictive.

Hot, Hot, Hot!!! Wow the sex in this book was HOT!
First off not a cliffhanger and it does have an HEA and yes there will be more because there are more Strand brothers to write about and you will not have to wait very long for Bound: Strand Brothers, Book 2 is due out in a couple of days, YAY!
I really enjoyed "Branded" and really felt for Nik and his troubled soul! You see his wife, Rachel died at an early age with their unborn child and he went to prison for manslaughter and that is all you are going to get out of me! Of course the story unfolds after he meets Aimee (a high priced call girl) and no I can't say more those are just teasers to get you to read "Branded"!
Did I say that the sex was HOT! And, hell yes I am reading the next book about Even (pronounced Evan) a.k.a. E Strand Nik's younger brother & Lacey Kincaid. There is no back story on Lacey but, we did meet Even in this book. Here is a little blurb from the book description on Amazon about Even! Makes me want to read the next book even more!

Wonderfully sweet and heartwarming story. These characters have a chance meeting and them go about their relationship 5 years later not knowing who the other is and frankly doing it kind of backwards but it totally works. The story line had the bit of crazy and dark thrown in with lots of passion, hot sex, and some healing of emotional wounds.
Nik and Aimee have kind of an unconventional meeting and start to everything but it totally works for their story. I loved how everything between them unfolded and they heal each other. As a reader it’s awesome to see a character heal and become whole throughout a story. Nik is a typical sexy alpha male who is determined to keep Aimee safe. He has a lot of guilt and emotional baggage that he’s closed himself off from for so many years but Aimee helps him with all of that. She is a great person. Despite what she’s had to do for money which lead her to her predicament, she is kind and caring but also feisty and not afraid to stand up for herself or someone she cares about. I really liked both of the main characters and they friends and family were wonderful as well.
The story line was a bit unique which just added to the desire to read the book. It’s typically the girl that is fending off the guy, but in this book it’s almost always the other way around. The scenes transitioned smoothly and it was definitely a book you won’t want to put down until you’re done reading. I actually blew through it in an evening. This was a great start to the series and I can’t wait for the next book. 4 out of 5 stars!

Hang on to your panties ladies, because when these two meet they ignite and you will too! Nik Strand is all alpha muscle and a total god in the sexy department.

Brilliantly written, heartwarming story. This story pulls you in from the very first page. The story begins with Aimee as young girl beginning a career as an escort. Her first night is spent at a Masquerade ball where she meets a gorgeous mystery man who has his way with her. In modern day Cinderella fashion the two split without ever even seeing each others faces. Shortly after the ball the escort service Aimee works for relocates. The story continues 5 years later where Aimee decides being a high priced call girl isn’t what she wants to continue doing. She’s with a man, Caleb, who doesn’t treat her well – they’re fighting one night when the handsome Nik steps in to keep Caleb from harming her. Nik and Aimee’s story explodes from here. Caleb is stalking Aimee and Nik just wants to keep her safe. Aimee and Nik’s attraction is strong from the get-go. Nik soon discovers Aimee is the girl from the masquerade ball who pulled him out of his "dark times."
Nik lost his wife and unborn child in a car accident several years prior and blames himself for their deaths. He’s very closed off and Aimee isn’t sure Nik will ever care for her the way he loved his late wife.

Branded is the first in the series Strand Brothers and here we meet Nik Strand and Aimee Taylor.
The main characters first meet five years prior to the story and the prologue sets up the sexy storyline nicely, especially highlighting how and why Aimee came to be in the profession she is in. When they meet again they at first do not realise that the passionate night at the masquerade party all those years ago was spent with each other. Both find the spark between them is not entirely new to them but cannot fathom why this is so.
This is a quick and easy read, however there were parts I found to be frustrating and others hard to believe. The suspense element was not as dark as I would have liked given the subject matter. I still don’t get the reason for the marriage without strings part either.
I loved the sound of Nik with his long blonde hair and his killer body, who wouldn’t fall for him. It was a refreshing change though for the hero to be the one reluctant to get up close and sexy, despite Aimee’s attempts. The reasons being all unfolded in the storyline. A hero with a sad past makes for a man we have to love!
Overall it was an enjoyable read and a good start to the series about the sexy Strand brothers.

I Received branded by Lora Ann for a fair/honest review That being said branded is a book which I read the Synopsis and sound good put on my tbr to read when i had time right we all know how long our TBR's are. A one night stand at a masquerade ball full of passion and amazement changes their lives and impacts their futures. Our two main characters are drawn to each other is this mysterious setting of masks and secrecy, without realizing they were about to experience a life-changing experience.
Without introductions, they loose track of each other. As life throws them together again years later, the attraction becomes a life force without them realizing the familiarity they feel for each other was rooted on that fateful night.
I liked this book. The plot and the characters were both entertaining and well defined. So, why a four stars? It took me reading to 30% to really become engaged. From then on, the story picks up and becomes complex and engrossing. I think the constant fighting between our main characters in the beginning of the book got to me. After they finally make peace with each other and accept the circumstances they are in, I began to enjoy the book more. By the time I was half way through the book, I could not put it down.
This is the first book in the series. The Strand brothers are unique. I am looking forward to the next book and this story progressing to a new crescendo.

I have to say that this book exceeded my expectations. Rarely do I receive a book for review where I become immediately captivated but the opening chapter in this book does just that.
Branded introduces us to Nic and Aimee where we follow their journey from a chance meeting at a Masquerade ball to where their story really begins 5 years later.
Aimee has made some hard decisions in order to help her family out and ultimately took on a profession that she isn't so proud of to make a lot of money fast. One client has become obsessed with her which lands her at the feet of Nic Strand, literally.
Nic Strand has made quite the name for himself in the business world even though his notoriety in his hometown is what he wishes to escape. A past devastation has him unwilling to love again and deeming himself unworthy of it. Since his wife he hasn't found a woman who even awakens that side of him..until he meets Aimee.
Branded has something to offer everyone..scorching love scenes, a bit of suspense, scenarios that will both break your heart and make it all better. It was an interesting read with introductions to both of Nic's brothers who will also be getting their own books.

With such a high risk job is it possible for her to get hurt? or run into some nasty nasty people...or even meet someone who is perfect for her in the long run? With a crooked Senator stalking her every move, and pressuring her into something she does not want to do; can she find a way to escape his harmful ways? Is there someone, anyone, out there willing to help a call girl?
I was hooked, completely and utterly hooked. I found some of the story a little frustrating with Aimee stamping her foot like an errand child a lot, and a bit of repetition, but it does not deter me from my 5* rating. I loved the flow and dialect, the storyline was STRONG and the sex HOT!
Looking forward to reading BOUND!

The Stand brothers***sigh***
I've got to say that the Strand brothers were totally and completely hot! I liked all three of them and their relationship with each other. Nik was completely alpha, and his domineering ways caused him more than a little trouble with Aimee. She was bold and unwilling to just accept what Nik said without explanation. The fact that Nik is so very flawed makes him all the more attractive. His episodes of PTSD like symptoms and his history made him seem real. I really got attached to these characters. As fair warning, I feel the need to say that this novel had episodes of sexual torture (not involving the main couple) and lots of graphic sex. In fact, there was more sex than I wanted or than seemed actually humanly possible. I liked the story, so I skimmed over and kept going. I have a feeling that book 2, E's story, is going to be outside of my comfort zone. I plan to read it anyway since part of this book's storyline is continued in book 2.

The Author really knows how to create a mouth watering alpha male hero book boyfriend with absolute erotic lovey dovey scenes that have you wiggling around in your seat. What a clever twist on a erotic suspenseful second chance at romance, this wonderful couple is completely out of the norm, each with painful pasts shrouded in secrets and lies.
BUT...what was truly unique and clever was the sinister thrill that was enhanced with a psychotic evil depraved villain that was written so superbly he sent chills down my spine and had me looking at the closet door and underneath the bed before I succumbed to slumber.
Nikko Strand's soul is wrecked and damaged and he must find a way to forgive himself in order to save a woman seeking someone with a backbone and strength that matches her own. Aimee is someone letting the past of fear, shame, regret and guilt rule her future.

Branded=Hotness!! This was definitely a great read! Nik Strand, what can I say... O-M-G!! He is a HOT, SEXY, ALPHA male but he feels & loves deeply! You can't resist this man he will break your heart and melt your panties at the same time!! And he has two equally hot & sexy brothers that I can't wait to read as well! Nik & Aimee have great chemistry from the get go. It took a while for Nik to give in to his attraction for Aimee but once he did it was hot, steamy and well worth the wait!
As always Lora Ann writes really solid characters. She has a knack for writing at least one depraved, licentious character. It never ceases to amaze me how she nails that character down, makes you loathe him. There is always a HEA but, there is always a dark twist!
I would definitely recommend this book, you will not be disappointed! I can't wait for the rest of the series!

4 Stars! This book was really good, I loved how the author made me feel.
This is a true love story with the good, the bad. There are moments of tears, laughter and those moments you want to throw something(I threw pens not the kindle...lol)
I absolutely love Nik, he has a troubled soul, with a past he can't forgive himself for the death of his family, from a tragic car accident. He walks around with guilt everyday. I cried for Nik through out this book, he shredded my heart with everything he has gone through.
Hot Sex, lifes troubles and tribulations. This book has it all.

Branded is a very good start to the series, in book one we meet Nik a very tall, strong, muscley nordic alpha male, and Aimee a strong independent female, This is the first book i have read by Lora Ann and it doesn't dissapoint, Nik has had a sad past which is explained through out the book, he meets Aimee who he is instantley attracted to but after a quick tyrest at a ball they loose touch, after a few years have past they meet each other again although they don't recognise each other but are drawn together once again, this story has it all, hot sex, love, some bad guys, and more sexy Alpha Strand Brothers, i can't wait to read Bound the second book about Even the youngest brother.

Wow!! A truly must read! Hot!
This book captured my attention from the beginning. It has awesome characters, violence, romance, drama, an evil politician, a hot alpha male (with a hurtful past), and a beautiful lady (who’s had a difficult past). So much put into one book, makes for an awesome read. From the Masquerade Party scene to the awesome ending, it is a book you won’t want to put down.

I loved this story. Aimee having to do what she had to to help her family was heart felt. Then have one glorious night with this mystery man was hot. Fast forward, and they meet up again but under different circumstance. Both feel the heat and electricity. Nick is hard core but a true protector and strong guy. Aimee is his equal but shorter. She gives him a run for his libeto. Have to read about the rest of the brothers.
